B9.5 SQ5 here, and in the Seattle area too. I just went down the APR stage 1 path and it has not gone well. Tune is a bit wonky (notable surging) and the intercooler install was a disaster (poor directions, bad brackets, ill-fitting parts). In the midst of trying to remedy both issues so I won't throw APR completely under the bus yet. I'm just shocked the experience thus far given the size and popularity of APR.

    - Unitronic Carbon Fiber Intake
    - APR intercooler
    - CTS Downpipe
    - CTS inlet pipe
    - Forge Motorsport Blowoff Valve
    - Custom Tune from local company (RaceMod)
    - Purchased AWE Track exhaust (from down-pipe back) with 102 mm tips

I wanted a little more sound out of the 2022 s5 I just got, was a little disappointed with the stock sound, in dynamic it definitely has some burbles and if you try to make it happen you get some pops. I just bought the vps mid pipes from ecs and waiting for them to come in. @Vaguh  Před 2 lety +2

Fair enough. This video definitely has that feel. I just have all the IE parts on my car right now, likely will for a few more months. The truth is, they did send me all these parts for reviews and the see how fast we can go, in exchange for some videos, so some of these videos will be IE focused. One thing I’ve noticed, is that not all the tuning companies have prioritized the same mods for this platform and many of them are just coming out now. 034 has a bunch of suspension stuff, but just now rolling out inlets, while other companies are stopping dev at stage 1. With all the variety in the tuning companies offerings, it’s tough to have just one companies parts on your car.

@@Vaguh thanks for the reply. First I want to say, I don’t think you’re a disingenuous person. I do think that IE is playing loose with the rules of making this an advertised partnership. You don’t strike me as the person that would favorably review something just because you were given it or given a major discount. That said, I do think this is an advertisement at the end of the day. For your benefit, for Integrated Engineering’s benefit, and for us as viewers to continue to trust your well thought videos it should be distinguished as such.
You start by thanking IE and talk about partnering with them, but I think this could all be avoided by saying “thank you integrated engineering who has partnered with us and are providing free/discounted equipment to prove what this platform is capable of”
You do talk about it mid video, but leading with it keeps us all as your fans/viewers from rolling our eyes by the time you’re basically pitching the 3rd IE product.
I can tell IE makes a solid product, but it shouldn’t discount their products at all if you make everyone clearly aware that they’re just sending you $$$$ of free items.
Thanks for being open to feedback, and again it doesn’t discount that I do like your videos. Just felt like I was watching an extended ad via a content creator as we see now so often with social media these days.

Prior to that they were both great to drive. I didn’t have the same experience as some others on the launch with 034. IE launched harder.
