I have started to watch this two or three times before, never watching it all the way through, because I was sleepy!! But this time I got to watch the entire movie!!! I love it!!! I think it was very well done!!! I love Peggy Wood in this and also the gal Elana Eden, from Israel, who played Ruth!!! They are wonderful actresses both of them!!! Plus the actor who played Boaz and the other suitors, etc.!! I just not remembering the names but thank you to any and all who acted in this movie or directed or did anything else connected to it!!! ❤️😇🤗🙏👍
They forgot to add that so and so gave up the right to marry Ruth because he would have had to relinquish all of future children and their properties in favor of the name of her late husband, Abimolech.
Utter nonsense and fabrication, mixed and mangled into what should be a lovely Biblical story of redemption. I suppose it was the best Hollywood could do, to bring about some semblance of God’s love and mercy. I cannot understand WHY Hollywood has twist God’s truth. Even the ending is utterly false. Read the story. Ruth would NEVER have been allowed into that council of the elders and judges. She was never allowed to speak out against Boaz’s kinsman. He actually declined to redeem Naomi and Ruth, because he would have had to marry her, a Moabitess. He was horrified at the thought. That is when Boaz stepped in to accept Ruth, marry her and redeem the family and land. Until the elder kinsman refused to take on the Leverite (spelling?) marriage, Boaz could do nothing. Boaz had to wait until the refusal of marriage. At least, at the end, the lineage of David was spoken from the word of God.
The biblical story is utter fabrication, it's Hebrew a folktale and not an historical event. The next time you pick up a Bible, go to the section before Genesis, read it in its entirety. One of what it explains is that the stories are allegorical.

Wish it was kept true to the Bible. So I'm not watching or sharing it.
This is NOT the story of Ruth Stewart.
History changed to fit to create a money maker.
Sound?
Sound issues.. Very low volume
What the hell did you write? the story of Ruth Stuart? fix it!
Rut was a princess. She was not sold into bondage.
A good movie , but not Biblical
