OUTSTANDING FILM!!!! Thank you SO MUCH for uploading From Time To Time!!! It is a favorite!!!
Beautiful movie . Thank you so much !!❤❤❤
Loved the movie!
Very good film - loved the old house setting. Not surprising with that cast. Hopefully I will get time to watch Lucky Break quite soon as that also has an impressive cast (including the brilliant Timothy Spall once again). Thank you and thank you twice.
I'm an old woman at the end of my life. I discovered this movie today and was so completely delighted. The "Green Knowe" book series was one of my favorites when I was a little girl. I'm going to find the books again and treasure the reading of them at this time in my life. Thank you so very much for this wonderful and unexpected gift.
The end is the beginning
My Great Grandmother lived to 104. She was born in 1880. I wish you much health and happiness, as none of us know when our time is up. x
Love You ❤❤😊🎉
I hope you've found these books and you're reading them now. ❤
Hello just wanted to say your comment touched me godbless you love ❤❤
I'm almost 62 years old, few films have made this old man tearing up at the end, it was worth it. I read many of the comments regarding my post, it seems that we can form the 60's group, where we can share all what is interesting or important to us! When I said that I was old, I was feeling so that day I posted, in reality most of the time I feel I'm 30, I'm very healthy, dynamic and positive, but I guess we all have our "I feel old" days sometimes. I loved the fact that no one was disrespectful or nasty in their comment, I guess life has taught us that that leads nowhere positive.
I'm 65 and was wishing with every fibre for his father to appear...which he did...but...I teared up as well...
Me too😢
I watched the movie despite/because of your comment. I do my best to avoid tear jerkers.
I loved it. I'm glad I watched. Thank you
60 years, seems like we're all spilling 😆
65 also and also teared up
Me too ... X
I first saw this movie on Netflix ten years ago the day after my husband died. It was the only thing I could stand to have on in the quiet house. Thank you for posting it. It's beautiful and makes a person cry, in the best way.
Lovely story! Enjoyed it so much.
My husband just died after a long illness. I’m having a difficult time and this is one of the only movies and of this type I can stand to watch. Haven’t even leave the house just yetI’m 72 nd really don’t care if I ever do. This world is to overwhelming for me alone.
@@user-ek5du4dp3foh, I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband.
I've lost my darling husband over three years ago and I find life extremely difficult to get on with without my husband. We were like a one person, doing everything together for 40 years and now I'm completely wounded without him.
Don't feel pressured to go out! Do what you want to do. You need a period of life to be on your own and for every one this period is of a different length.
Sending you my love and best wishes ❤🤗
@@user-ek5du4dp3f-ten years ago my husband of 36 years died two weeks after I retired from work. It was devastating as it changed my life completely. We were never able to have children so that made it worse. Im here to tell you that it does get better so hang in there. You will have days where you don’t want to get out of bed. That’s ok for that day, but make yourself get up the next day. When I’m depressed and don’t want to do anything, I tell myself that I will do three things today even if it’s just picking up my dirty clothes and putting them in the hamper. That gave me a feeling of accomplishment and that’s a lot. You take care.
I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you find joy in life again.
The ending has me in tears, it's a shame we don't have more films like this, without gratuitous sex, violence and swearing. You don't need sex, violence and swearing to have a really good and enjoyable film, you just need good writing and actors. This film had all that.
@@user-sc3ts6lf8r Is this sarcasm?
You said it well, after my heart. I couldn't agree more.
Yeah, agreed. I'm only 36 bit don't like any contemporary stuff, I only watch old movies... I can't stand it then have to put identity politics, violence, drama, unkindness to make it more "exciting"
@@42kellys Thank you.
You are so right!
That is simply the most beautiful ghost story I've seen for at least 50 years! Had me in tears as it ended, I'm not ashamed to say.
👍
Don't be ashamed...I cried as well!!
It had me in tears too.
Beautiful.
@@michaelrandall9319 Me too!
The entwining of the past and the present was so brilliantly done..for Tolly to be exposed to other dimensions gave him the ability to be in both..Maggie Smith was a very loving grandmother who came to realise the past needed to be rectified ❤
Just brilliant 😊
"never quarrel with your children. It's not worth it". What a gem of an advice !!!!
Absolutely right. Never ever worth it.
What do you expect from Lady Grantham !!!
Lovely movie, no profanity, nudity, just a simple Lovely ghost story & acceptance of lost loved ones. ❤️
What's wrong with nudity? We're all the same when naked; made in God's image. We are born naked. Babies see their mothers naked breasts!!! Isn't that shocking? They see the nipples!!
In fact breasts are exclusively for feeding babies, nothing else but feeding babies and people make them look dirty! People with dirty minds make them look like that.
Sexual organs serve as tool for reproduction!!
What's wrong with that?
Woman showing an ankle in Victorian era was deemed immoral. 😊
I found it thoroughly enjoyable and unique - and loved that cast!
Can't go wrong with Maggie and Hugh.
Boggis was played by Allen Leech who was also in Downtown Abbey.
Julian Fellows was also involved!
@@harridan.Yes. Just a little 😂 Wrote, produced and directed it...very talented man (with a touch of old romantic about him!) ❤️
Plus Julian Fellowes name doesn't hurt either.
@@tourbillon13 thank you!
I'm having a really hard time finding words to describe how I feel about this movie. I don't want to be cliche, so I can just say that it's been wonderful. Everyone should have their heart tugged occasionally, it helps with one's perspective in this messed up world. Thank you very much !
This had tears from my eyes falling slowly... what an absolute gem of a story 💕💕💕
I knew this was gonna be good with Julian Fellowes Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville. What a cast what a story just beautiful!
In what can be a very dark world, from time to time, a film such as this can shine a light and give new hope, well done to all those involved in the making of this film.
Indeed
I kept ignoring this movie for 5 days and even thought of removing it but then decide to just look at the beginning. I was hooked from the first second! Brilliantly done and executed film. I must step out of my box more often. Realizing lately that it has unexpectedly pleasant results 😊❤
I do that sometimes, then decide to take a look and end up being so glad I did! I have another wonderful movie you may be interested in if you enjoyed this one. It is called 'For All Time' (2000) starring Mark Harmon. Another beautiful movie.
Very sweet movie , it is heart warming, with a twist of a tear jerker. . I enjoyed seeing a few actors from Downton Abbey.
Awesome movie 🎦 withMaggiesmith 32:36
Beautiful
Thanks to this comment, I decided to go ahead and watch the first few minutes and was hooked too!
I lost my older brother just a few short months ago. My younger brother just sold his humble house over the week end. I wonder how I was going to handle the holidays this year. I miss him dearly, and this brilliant movie has moved me. Good bye Sean, you were loved. Thank you for this gem.
you will be fine.
I hope they went well for you
❤. Condolences, and may solace be with you.
Thank you Screen Blaze for uploading this charming and heartwarming lark.
I'm 70 & I was really affected by this. It's true that the past comes alive at times at this age. Grandma says at one point what matters at the end of your life is whether you were loved or not. That's so true too. What are ghosts, why do they continue on for a time, sone of us can so easily accept them, see them, talk with them. I haven't but I can imagine it's so. 'There is more in heaven & Earth than is dreamt of in our philosophy.' Of course there are ghosts.
I have seen ghosts of those I loved most and complete strangers have seen them with me( the lady had the 'sight' and thought it was quite normal.
It's a comfort that defies description .
I'm 73 and cried at the end. I loved it. I always enjoy anything with Maggie Smith in it, she is a brilliant and wonderful actress. I loved how Tolly could go back and forth through time, and found the jewels to save the granny's house. Excellent movie. Thank you for posting
Go ahead and ruin it for everyone by telling how it ends!!!! Great job!
When you have such a lot of fine actors such as Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, Pauline Collins, Hugh Bonneville you can't go wrong - this was an excellent movie - well worth the watch.
I WATCHED THIS MOVIE 2 TIMES BACK TO BACK. I didn't want to miss a moment. Such a beautiful and adventurous story.
Me to. And I cried both times.
me three!
Not too much and not too little. Quite the well presented storyline. A good folly fully formed, as it were. Sweetly ghosted by just enough romance and mystery. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
The most wonderful and beautiful ghost story ever. And a most wonderful cast. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Any movie Maggie Smith is in is worth watching !😊
Sudden change in an angry boy…
Just 10 min in and what a very delightful Quaint and wholesome movie! Intertwining the past and the present was perfectly done and captivating! Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it❤️
Delightful indeed
What an absolute fabulous movie! 5 actors from Downton Abbey too!
I thought I counted six, I will have to check further. Who knew this was sitting out there, I don’t know how I missed this.
@@tanasarahdesign3781 you're probably right, lol.
Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith, Allen Leach, David Robb (Dr. Clarkson in .D.A, Lord Farrar in this movie at about 1:00:09 and 1:00:16), Christine Lohr(Mrs. Bird in D.A., Mrs. Robbins in this movie at about 45:22)
ETA Daisy Lewis(who plays the 1700’s kitchen maid who notices 1940’s Tolly) also played Miss Sara Bunting in D.A. Thank you janwheeler!
ETA (7th D.A. actor) Harriet Walker(Lady Shackleton) who is in the dinner scene just before the announcement about the house being on fire
@@tanasarahdesign3781 I would love to know who the 6th actor is.
During the dinner scene, just prior to the announcement of the fire, at about 1:04:15, there is a lady with dark hair. Did this actress play in D.A. too, playing a gossipy role there also?
Her name is Harriet Walter. In D.A., she played Lady Shackleton(Henry Talbot’s aunt) who was a friend of the Dowager Countess(Maggie Smith’s character)
ETA the first kitchen maid from the 1700’s is played by Daisy Lewis. She acted as Miss Sara Bunting in D.A. Thank you janwheeler!
I love movies with Maggie Smith in them! Hope to see more of them here on this channel! Loved this movie!! Thanks for uploading it!
Yup Maggie Smith is brilliant.
Such a lovely movie. Great acting and casting. The story was wonderful. The costumes!! Spot on. Oh, how I wish they made more movies like this! ✨✨✨✨✨
I had never heard of this exquisite film before and can’t imagine why. I am 64 and it has all the enchantment, beauty and adventure of the classic novels I read and TV series and movies I saw in the 1960s and early 1970s. I felt I’d returned wide-eyed to my childhood. I was completely captivated by it, it taps into very many traditional literary ideas, motifs and plots but not in a predictable way. So unpredictable, that the ending caused me to tear up as fantasy blends with the painful truths of the war years. Julian Fellowes is such a brilliant, gentle storyteller and a good director. Obviously, it goes without saying he has a stellar cast here, so many beloved and familiar faces, no wonder he recruited many of them for Downton Abbey. Alex Etel is very strongly supported but in the end he has to carry much of the film and he does so very well. An absolute delight.
Maggie Smith is/was the best-ever actress!
I enjoyed this movie so much. Love the cast. Love Julian Fellowes very well done❤
As soon as I saw the cast I knew I would love this I also remember toasting bread on an open fire.
Or on a burning mansion.
With Marmalade
Yes open fire 🔥 for toast is yummy as l remember ❤
@@rubytroy7756 it is. Makes having tea and toast a real event.

What a movie. WHAT a movie!! So sensitively and beautifully written, acted and directed. Brilliant cast. I'm so glad people are finding and treasuring "uncommercial" films like this. Thanks for the upload!
I'd seen this movie before and I kept it in my DVR but I lost it. I tried to find it in you tube but they only showed a clip of some scenes. But now I found the whole movie and I'm so grateful. I love the story from the beginning through the end. I cried and smiled and I would never get tired to watch this movie. I believe in ghost. This is my favorite ghost story. Thank you You Tube.
I bought the DVD on eBay. CZcams tends to play Grinch and remove movies all the time, which is why I got the DVD. Google isn't taking that away from me 😜
What a great story, what a great cast!
What a beautiful and moving film. It reminded me in some ways of my favourite film from my childhood - The Amazing Mr. Blunden. I wish there were more films like this. I feel inspired to seek out the books now.
I thought the exact same thing. I believe the book version was called "Ghosts". It also reminded me of a Wonderful World of Disney movie from the 70s. I don't remember the name but it had a little girl ghost and missing jewels. This is such a great kids movie.
I remember that Disney film, but not the name. The ghost of the young girl used a French accent to speak to Alexander, the live boy whom she appeared to throughout the film. Quite charming.
The books are the Green Knowe series by Lucy M Boston.. I loved them when I was a child
'The Amazing Mr. Blunden' was one of my favourite films, as a child, too. It's now available on You Tube. I also love 'Somewhere in Time' with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve
What a wonderful story!! Julian does it again!! I loved it!!
“Don’t Ever Quarrel Your Children”
It’s a lesson I’ve learned from this Lovely Movie, and that will Treasure, Hopefully For Ever!! ❤
A very sweet and sad but lovely movie. An incredible cast, I kept spotting familiar faces 😊
Yes, Same here.. 😊 I even thougt in some scenes that Mrs Tweedle reminded me of Mrs Crawley..
I've been watching Downton Abbey too much 😉
But what haunts me is that this film popped up after having a quarrel with my partner... that is something to think about...
And aswell that this is the first night in many months that I am staying at my old house, where when I bought it I was told, that the first owner might have hidden a treasure somewhere, because before they sold it, the heirs where searching everywhere for it, but didn't find anything.... That's what the previous owner told me, when I bought it...
Maybe I should look for a hidden chimney 🤔😮
Loved this movie. A true gem that popped up out of nowhere and just what I needed.❤
That was a awesome movie! Wonderful story. To have that kind of family history would be amazing.
Couldn’t have been wonderful for the people who’s enslavement was heralded on an industrialised scale, for the financial profit of others!
We all have very rich family stories tho much of our histories are lost. I've read that everyone in the world is connected by 7 or fewer degrees of separation.
Thanks so much for this - I'm absolutely torn between immediately indulging or saving it for a Christmas bingefest!
Watch it *both* times. Just have tissues handy.
I really enjoyed that .. and yes, I sobbed at the end. Truth be told, I started crying from the part where the children died young within hours of each other... And the little church... Touching film ❤
Julian Fellowes, never disappoints the viewer..
This is a wonderful movie. I am happy to have been able to see this masterful story unfold on screen. From Time To Time is such an appropriately named title. Spirits moving from Dimension to Dimension in and out of time. It certainly does open a door to many possibilities. I honestly loved this movie. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Dame Maggie Smith, can’t go wrong with her films, plus Pauline Collins. Nice ghost story
They're both always the same in every film. Just playing themselves. Maybe I haven't seen these films where they speak in different accents and create different characters.
I remember reading the books as a child, loved them.
What a beautiful movie and so skillfully done. Magnificent cast, and how could it be anything less with Maggie as the 'Anchor'! Should be far better known.
Wonderful story about how love lives on, as long as someone is remembered. Worth the watch.
Great movie! A young lad is growing up and learning what what love, life and death are! So moving!❤️🌈
Very nice to see the rainbow signaling - I think - faith in God as it has for thousands of years.
WOW………
My words are failing me…..
I laughed I cried then I watched it again.
What a Wonderful movie
Films like this are the best and make me feel nostalgic for a time i have never existed in. Gives me secret garden vibes.
Over the years, I have watched this movie "time" and "time" again and never grow tired of watching it. One of my all time favorites next to the Harry Potter series.
This was my first time and it was absolutely enchanting, I kept hoping to the end that Dad would be wounded but alright and that Jacob and Susan would live long and happy lives... but life rarely gives what we'd like, but it does teach us the grace of acceptance.
One movie is pure and innocent. The other is influenced by the demonic realm. Cannot understand why your swing from one end of the spectrum to the other.
@carolcole570 It's called entertainment. Regardless of "demonic realm," it's a good movie. I am a Christian, and I'm not going to stop reading my Bible because of the mention of Demons, Satan, and all sorts of evil.
@@larrygamble8293 That is your choice, Larry. As for me, as a Christian, I try to guard my mind against anything that leans towards the demonic realm. Having seen demonic influence waaaaay too close for comfort, I want to always stay clear of it. It is extremely easy for demonic activity to creep thru a tiny chink in the armor and influence a person’s life. Simply put, it shows the depth of commitment one has made to Christ. But, I have my point. You have made your point. There is really no need to talk about it further.
I stopped watching when he said Light the fire! Now I'm trying to find out from the comments whether the young man died in the chimney! He MUST have lived because I hear so many accolades!
What a lovely little movie. I watched it in parts so that it doesn't end but eventually it did.
A stellar cast...
I watched this movie years ago. Have been trying to find it ever since. Glad I caught it here. It is such a timeless story - so well written and played. Tear jerker for sure…..

Spectacular! I was captivated the entire time, this wasn't just a twist on so many other, purely original script. I love this movie, the cinematography was brilliant and the acting, well... Maggie and Hugh, it goes without saying, they never out stage making the supporting casts melt seamlessly into a wonderful performance. This is a movie to be enjoyed over and over.

Dame Maggie always captures my heart .. We need more of this in our lives, allows us to forget the world and how it has become 🥲🙏🏻
Thanks to all of you who gave this movie such a glowing review. Normally I loath any 'time travel' type of theme but this was one was done so very well! One of my new favorite movies! Thank you again!
Brilliant storyline and brilliant actors. Oh my gosh, I cried at the end but this film was definitely worth watching.
Great movie, can't get any better than Maggie Smith, a real class act
The houses have souls and the dead do not really leave them. I see my son from time to time. He is with me, as always.
Beautiful movie with a great cast. Every now and then I find a gem worth watching on CZcams, this was up there with the best. ❤️
I was very excited when I first found this movie. Growing up before cable TV, we were limited to the offerings of only 3 television stations. It wasn't until Harry Potter movies that I came to learn of the many talented actors from the UK and other European countries. I really like watching the same cast in various movies and, now, TV reruns. Timothy Spall, Maggie Smith, and so many others. This movie is a wonderful coming of age during the war. Absolutely well done.
I love the point where she says "Why don't you go see what Boggis is up to?" and you just know he's going to be pushing a wheelbarrow. That's that Boggis for you. There's a man who knows his way around a wheelbarrow. Timothy Spall may have been pushing things around in wheelbarrows for months in preparation for that part.
I suppose if you are a gardener, and you start getting some kid hanging around, asking questions all day, the wheelbarrow is a universal symbol of "I've got somewhere else to be". Ideally, they're gone by the time you get back. If you're unlucky, they come with you. Then you just get into perpetual wheelbarrowing. Always on the move. Never able to settle again. Tragic.
What a precious gem of a movie!! Beautifully written and crafted!! Thank you!
Such a beautiful movie and so "normal" and so touching. I had to pink away a tear of two. Thank you for posting.
This is such a gem. I find it so hard to get lost in rich story written movies these days because they are far and few between. Lots of click bait- make a fast buck movies. Thank you for featuring this beautiful story.
This is a wonderful movie & a heartbreaker just at the end. Wonderful story of love & hardships. Finest acting & actors, excellent scenery & filming. Loved it, so a big thank you for making it possible for us the viewers to watch. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Heartwarming and beautiful and deeply moving. The cast is top notch!🥰🥰
Beautiful movie, and storytelling. Thank you staff of Screen Blaze. A stellar cast from Maggie Smith on, and Julian Fellowes at the helm. I think I would have missed it entirely, had it not come on my page, as a "Suggested for you" I shall share it on PM with one or two friends who I know will also appreciate it. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS AND VERY LOVELY FILM! Dame Maggie Smith's performance is stellar as always. Can't help but be moved by such performances and the Young Lad who played Trolley, Alex Etel, was brilliant. Sir Jullian Fellows did an exceptional job writing the Script and directing the film.

Any movie with Maggie Smith will always be a gem. Very well done play on time shifts.
It makes all the”new” time travel genre look silly. More a shift in dimensions both real and unreal made very plausible. Bravo to all
Oh my. I didn't think they made movies like this anymore...Such a beautiful, heartwarming, and touching story that draws the viewer in from the very first moment. The writing, acting, directing, cinematography were splendid! The UK really knows how to make movies with substance, skill, and talent.
I do wish the volume were louder; the ads were deafening! I had to listen to some sections more than once to capture what was being said.
The closed captioning is imperfect but it helps a bit. I also had trouble with the volume.

Wonderfully enchanting movie. Superb cast and directing.
Not just a ghost story, but a mystery with superb drama. In my 70+ years, I have not seen anything this well produced, directed or acted. One I will need to see again and again.
