I would say the wanted end result is for people to think this plain of existence is all there is and our meat suits we inhabit here are it. If you look at all their obsessions it's all about the meat suits, what shade it is, changing it, how large it is and so on. For those of us old enough to remember PH on radio (I graduated from HS in 1965), I remember thinking that things couldn't get as bad as Paul Harvey was saying. Now I realize he was being optimistic.

I grew up listening to Paul Harvey. My mom listened to him on A.M radio from the 80s-early 2000s. Just hearing his voice brings back memories. Him & Micheal Savage was my mom's 2 favorite (MS is still alive & on YT, just found that out too).
I was raised in church of Christ and fell away. About 8 years ago, I saw things and the scales fell from my eyes, I started following Christian political bloggers and they convinced me to listen to ministers and eventually go to a gift believing church. I started In late January 2023 in person and was baptized in July of 2023.

"GIFT BELIEVING" MY Dad was a Pentacostal preacher most of my childhood. He taught himself Hebrew and researched EVERY TRANSLATION!! He learned that speaking in tongues was a parlor trick to fatten the offering plate. The meaning of the GIFTS you speak of can be twisted to suit any preacher building his cult. The Church of Christ goes by scripture more than any other "CHURCH"!! They fail miserably about calling the elders of the church and pray over your afflicted with holy hands. They fail in following God's Law because of this.

That science one was WILD. I recently noticed that our trust in science is used against us historically and prophetically.
Science today isn't objective.. it is interpreted to mold a secular world view ... much like how the Holy Scriptures themselves can be twisted to support Islam... It's exactly alike.
When you find seashells on the Himalayas, and hemoglobin on the bones of a T Rex.. you would think with reasonable certainty that should confirm a world wide flood in the days of Noah... yet 'science' today will tell you that organic matter can survive for 65 million years and fossils doing activities such as eating cannot be buried under tons of mud layers from a worldwide catastrophe... 'science' today can't even explain the evolutionary process needed to result in today's life forms without introducing new information to the gene pool.. it is embarrassing that this is taught all over schools and universities like gospel when even at surface level most of this science is make believe drivel... and new and new discoveries only send these atheists back to the drawing board.

This Paul Harvey clip has been making the rounds for the last 20 years. I'm glad it's getting attention again. Means more today than the last time I heard it.
While Paul Harvey was amazing with his "predictions", a lot of this is already predicted in the Bible. I think Mr. Harvey was a Christian and he took what he knew of biblical prophecy and expanded on it to make it more relatable to his time. He did an outstanding job. I don't know if this is true, it's just my theory. As an eight year old kid, and on, I loved watching him on TV, just about everyone did.

Interesting story about that. I met Joe at his meet-and-greet after the filming of his special at The Tabernacle in ATL. In it, I told him that I was so grateful for his podcast because it helped me unshackle myself from religion (I have since come back to the faith). What surprised me then and gives me pause and hope now is that his response was incredibly gracious and polite to me but he did not share my exuberance; if anything, he seemed disappointed. That was in 2012/13. So I think you’re onto something.

Gentlemen, I was born in 1963. Although I remember seeing psychedelic buses, my mother wouldn’t allow me or my sister learn anything about that particular culture. My generation was still saying the pledge of allegiance in 1968 when I began headstart. Things went down hill from there. I heard this prediction from Paul Harvey for the first time, back in 2001 around the time of 9/11 and I remember thinking then how accurate is was. Hearing it now, over 20 years later, it gives me even more chills, because everything he said, is exactly how the world is now. 1967 I was in grade 6. My teacher listened to Paul Harvey's noon broadcast. She would come to class with positive vibes and hope which flowed from his radio program into her. Often she would delay teaching the curriculum to retell his daily message of hope and wisdom. Yes I'd say Mr Harvey was a strong believer who lives on through the decades, least wise until us "boomers" pass away. He truly was a light on a hill.

I used to listen to Paul Harvey’s radio show almost every afternoon in the 1970s. He used to do a short interesting newscast that was put on the radio every morning when I was driving to high school in college. He was a very faithful guy, and saw our continuing lack of faith to be fatal to the society that we lived in.
His voice & delivery was perfect. Loved listening to him. MISS HIM.

I’m 78 and agreed with everything he said back in ‘65. But in my young mind 2024 was not though.
EVIDENCE GOD EXISTS
1. Order and design demand an intelligent mind. The order and design of the cosmos points to an intelligent mind. If I asked you how a building got there you'd obviously say someone obviously built it. A meal demands a chef, clothing demands a designer, a painting demands a painter, etc. Order does not come about by chance. Accidents produce chaos, accidents do not produce order. A shirt doesn't come together as a result of a tornado sweeping through a cotton field. The same thing goes for a human body, obviously. One single cell has the information of 30 sets of Britannica encyclopedia. Densely packed information requires an intelligent mind and design points to a designer and a raitonal mind.
2. Charles darwin stated if a single cell is irreducibly complex, the whole idea of evolution by chance and fate falls apart. We've come to find out a single cell is irreducibly complex with many examples. For instance, an eye ball can't evolve from stage to stage and gradually become a whole eye ball. If something is missing in the eye, it isn't going to work. The living cell is another example. This exhibits that evolution is false.
3. Under any circumstances no matter what DNA cannot create itself. Its coherent information. The amount of information densely packed in the DNA of a single cell demands an intelligent mind. Every time you are confronted with densely packed information, there's got to be an intelligent mind.
4. The theory of evolution claims rain dripped from a rock, formed a fish like creature, then that formed into a monkey, then that monkey formed into a human. Thats means that had to of happened to not one but two of every single species on the face of the earth. Two monkeys, two elephants, two rabbits, two dogs, two cats, two fish, two birds, two horses, etc. If that were true, how did that baby monkey, dog, bird, etc. sustain life on its own as in infant? Did it hunt all on it's own when it couldn't even walk?
5. Moral absolutes demand a moral law giver. If God does not exist, objective moral values and duties do not exist. However, objective moral values and duties do exist. Therefore, God does exist. Every atheist I know looks into the face of a person that is doing "wrong" and says, "You SHOULD not do that". When atheist say "should" they're appealing to a standard outside of us and acting as if it's real. The only way it could be real is if there is some God who created and defined it. Atheists cannot live out moral relativism and there is maybe not a ton, but there are undoubtedly some morals that are absolute. One of the most ironic things about moral relativists is they make a truth claim that everything is relative, which is an objective claim. Which is hypocritical and self defeating.
6. The discovery of the big bang in the 1960s shows the universe is not eternal. Which means it has a beginning. Everything has a beginning has a cause. The universe has a beginning, therefore the universe has a cause. The best explanation would be an uncaused cause which would have to be God. Whatever created it had to be big enough, powerful enough and outside of space and time, to create something inside space and time. Which would have to be God. Nothing comes from nothing and nothing ever could. The universe could not have exploded out of nothing, let alone with such incredible precision. You don't get order out of chaos. Steven hawking has noted the following. "The universe would not decrease in the expansion rate one second after the big bang by only one part in one hundred thousand, million, million". This lead Hawking to conclude it would be very difficult to explain why the universe should have just begun in just this way, except as an act of God who intended to create beings like us.
7. The anthropic principal. Life is balanced on a razors edge. Any closer to the sun we fry any further away, we freeze. Here's another example. If you changed the gravitational force by just one part in ten to the forty, nothing would exist. Whats one part in ten to the forty? Stretch a tape measure across the entire known universe, set gravity at one inch anywhere on that tape measure and if you move the force of gravity one inch in either direction, we don't exist. The earth's rotation of twenty four hours is just right. If it was a little bit more or a little bit less, we wouldn't be here. The axial tilt of twenty three and a half degrees is just right. If you change that just a smidge then we would not be here. If jupiter wasn't in its current orbit we would be bombarded with space materials. Jupiter acts as a cosmic vacuum cleaner for earth and attracts all comic space materials to it rather than earth.
8. Life never comes from non life. That is the biggest blind leap of faith ever imaginable. To believe life comes from non life is incredible. Never once in my experience have I ever seen life come from non life. All of my observations tell me, plant life comes from plant life, animal life comes from animal life and human life comes from human life. The animate does not come from the inanimate. It absolutely never happens. Never one time in your experience have you seen life come from non life, ever.
9. If there is no God, that means all of reality is reduced to matter and energy. You don't get love from matter and energy. If reality is only matter and energy it is impossible to have a free will. Because a free will means there is a me that goes beyond the complex chemical reactions in my brain. If there is no God, there is no free will because all I am is a complex chemical reaction; and you do not get a free will out of a complex chemical reaction. There is a soul, a personhood, a me, a conscience, that has the ability to reflect, possess emotion, and have a free will to decide what to do.
10. Jesus Christ's death and resurrection is evidence for God. The majority of Jesus Christ's apostles got crucified/murdered not over a belief, they died for what they claim to have SEEN. Jesus Christ risen from the dead. Others such as Paul and James for instance, were beheaded over their faith in Jesus Christ. A roman guard went up to them almost one after another and said, acknowledge Caesar as lord and live or maintain that Jesus is Lord and be killed. And they were all killed; most were crucified. Psychology studies have shown people do not die over what they know to be a lie. After Jesus Christ rose from the dead, he stayed on earth for 40 days and appeared to over 500 people. Paul wrote letters to the churches in the area and told them to come talk to the eye witnesses. Which hundreds were still around in the area.

14. The fulfilled prophecies of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ fulfilled over 324 prophecies with some of the earliest ones being carbon dated up to around nine hundred years before he even came to earth. Some stating how he would be crucified for our sins, rise on the third day, be born of a virgin, his ministry would mainly be in Galilee, he would be betrayed for 30 silver coins, he would be born in Bethlehem and many, many, more.
God is real. His Son Jesus Christ was a real historical figure and it's universally agreed upon by virtually every single scholar. The death and crucifixion of Jesus are the two most undeniable facts about him. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and no one will get to The Father except through him.

Paul Harvey WAS a religious man. He was on the radio in the morning and middle of the day. Later, he had another daily feature called “The Rest of the Story.” He was an inspiration, and a wonderful man.
St. Malichi also gave a prophecy of all 112 Pope’s that were to come and a brief sentence about what each one would be known for. He said when we get to the 112th Pope then the end comes…..End Times. We are on the last Pope. This prophecy was written 100’s of years ago.

I’m almost 69 and have been watching all of Paul Harvey’s observations play out since the Bible and prayer were removed from schools in the early 60’s. We used to read the Bible and pray every morning in school and we didn’t need metal detectors back then, and so on and so on.
Recently I was reading a book by AW Tpzer who was lamenting in his book that these very things were already happening back then. And he even says at the end of the message that you recorded on here, that the devil was already doing the very things they were the early days of these "prophecies". Tozer's book was also written in the 1960's, and we've just kept falling since then. . It would be interesting to see what a new version of his prophecies would entail. Things are even much worse now than what he stated in his commentary.
You do not have wonder go to the last days prophecies in the Bible. Get a Bible index if you do not know the references. Revelation is the book of fame, but hard to understand without a heavy Christian background, & then most of it will not become clear until it is seen-& then it will be too late for most.

I used to listen to Paul Harvey. He was a well respected commentator and a Presbyterian Christian and a very Patriotic American. He was very good at what he did. There are not any men like him today, a few wanna bes, but he was a truth teller.
Actually, John, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey were lifelong members of the Seventh Day Adventist church. While traveling through his area years ago, we had the pleasure of attending worship with he and his wife.
I'm almost 50. People 100% were more faithful. I grew up in Chicago. When I was a kid, people would often describe where they lived by the predominant church in the neighborhood. "Oh I'm up in St. Benedict/St. Clement/etc".
Virtually everything used to be closed on Sundays.
If there was a kid who was or a family who was full-on atheist/agnostic, everyone would look at them like they said the wildest sh*t on Earth.
So yeah, it definitely has changed for the worse.

Joe Rogan is a fighter, he went from inside the ropes to outside the ropes and his logical intelligence is incredible. He fights for what he can prove , however to be a great fighter you must hold a great sense of natural instinct/intuition as well. I believe God has a plan for every one if us and Mr.Rogan reaches and has influence on incredible levels.

I was born in 1960!
My Dad listened to Paul Harvey every day. When this came out, it was a big stir. We lived in a close neighborhood and the Parents( part of what I call the “Cocktail Generation”) and after work all the Parents would gather at one house to socialize and have drinks before Dinner! The kids all gathered in the playroom or den, to play board games. This was the big topic for quite some time! I have heard it often over my 63 years and it has proven spot-on for every generation since!
