The harmonies from Art Garfunkel were always what made their songs for me. "America" will always be my favorite Simon & Garfunkel song.
Art Garfunkels voice is so amazingly bright. Never heard any guy really replicate it.

My favourite song by them has to be "Bridge over Troubled Water" even if only Art Garfunkel is involved... Particularly that performance at The Concert in Central Park
You have to check out the Boxer and Bridge over troubled water from this same concert. Garfunkel gives the last part of bridge offer troubled water his all and it sounds amazing. I love how their voices have aged.
It's hard to choose one song... but I guess the boxer. Only because it equally features both of their voices. Bridge over troubled water is hauntingly beautiful, but features Art Garfunkel primarily. I really enjoy how they harmonize. Just my personal preference.

The best Simon & Garf songs (besides this classic) are "Bridge Over Troubled Water' and 'The Boxer'. Both better when performed live in Central Park (1981?) or eariier before they split.

To hear where they came from, listen to The Everly Brothers from the 1950s and early 1960s. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is probably one of the five greatest pop/rock songs of all-time. Paul Simon has come close to it many times, but will never match it.

Paul Simon singing this at ground zero is the best version of this song. Im pretty sure you cant react to it because nobody has. Just listen to it on your own time.
