    Now I have seen you loose your hat two times, so I want to give you a piece of advise!
    I have a safety pin on the backstrap of my cap attached with a string of fitting length with a safety pin at the other end that I can fasten to somewhere on my clothes or my life jacket (I always wear lifejacket). In this way your cap can blow off or be beaten off, but never lost, because it is hanging on a string. The string is easily moved from one hat to another, just by opening the safety pin.
    Best regards from a Carina 20 in Denmark

    Thanks for posting your trips, we have recently moved up from Vic to Forster, (before Covid thank god) and are starting to get out sailing in the area. We have sailed on Port Stephens a couple of times in our Sunmaid 20, and are heading to the Myall lakes next weekend so your videos of the lakes are very helpful. Thanks again !

      Glad you liked the videos and you will definitely like Myall lakes.Put in at Violet hill boat ramp,then Johnson's beach is only 10 mins motor or turn left and head out onto the big lake head straight across to Shelley Beach. Both have shallow sandy beaches but get popular in school holidays. Check the weather can get 25kt winds through the area. Check out "myplacestopaddle" on youtube to see my paddling videos from a few years ago. Have fun cheers Paul

    many years ago hired a Halvorsen cruiser for a weekend at Wisemans ferry anyway on the way we saw lots of jellies as I was looking over the stern at them one of the others gave me a push into the water then they decided it would fun to tow me through the jellies and and threw me a rope and did not stop too pick me up until there were no more jellies

      Hi John, it's an obvious idea but this Torquedo doesn't. Apparently with electric outboards that offer that function you need at least 5 knots before before it works, cheers Paul

    I notice you use moorings are there restrictions on anchoring in these areas?

    • @SailingKateLouise
      @SailingKateLouise  Před 2 lety +1

      Nope, I should anchor more often as the bays are mainly sandy/muddy but often only enough room for boats on the mooring. But I have checked out a few bays with no moorings so will probably go there next time if the wind is not predicted to be too strong. I suppose as I dragged anchor in a storm once and was washed ashore, I tend to grab a mooring if I see one. Thanks for watching cheers Paul
