- Top 10 Dive Coasters. Dive coasters are epic. I wanted to highlight some of my favorite Dive Coasters by doing a top 10 countdown of the ones I think are the best in the world. Some of my choices will be larger, smaller, and in-between, and not necessarily influenced by records, but on a whole host of things including theming, layout, and overall aesthetic and creativity. So, what do you say? Why don’t we figure out which dive coaster is number one?

I love to see Yukon Striker at number 1! It is the best and one of my all time favourite coasters. Such an amazing and fun ride and from my home park Canada’s Wonderland. That drop and front row is perfection

Yukon has a nice view too, a beautiful view of the park. The tunnel at the bottom, and the beautiful water at the bottom too during the drop
Wonderland has really gotten some great things from working with B&M. Yukon was a great addition to the park.

Thats being conservative... B&M saved the parks butt. It was pretty meh before.
@@robmausser Between all three coasters? Couldn't agree more. But here's hoping that whatever is going on for 2025 is even bigger (and the expectation is that it was a B&M, but no longer will be).
I love your reasons for why Yukon is the top. It's at my home park, Canada's Wonderland, but I actually rode Valravn as my first dive coaster, and loved it. I hope to experience some of the other ones too.

I don't travel, so love that Yukon Striker is at my local park. Can't get enough of it, 404 rides so far and looking to reach 500 in '24.
Also, great visual interaction with Vortex and now Tundra Twister. Fits so well into the landscape too. Wonderland also protects riders with shelter in the 30min+ part of the queue and I notice a lot of parks don't. Even Iron Menace is all open queue.

you construct are is my favorite coaster in the whole entire park, it's awesome so fast and so tall, I love it but also behemoths pretty good

I’m riding Iron Menace tomorrow. Currently, I’ve ridden Valravn and Griffon, and Griffon is definitely my favorite.
Griffon especially has a lot of really underrated airtime, the hill into the splashdown gives some nice floater, and the final dip into the brake run might be the most underrated airtime moment on any coaster. You get launched out of your seat, and the 2 inversions are also very floaty.
Love to hear what you think of Iron Menace
A bit of a late comment, but I feel like the turnaround after Griffon's splashdown is a highlight imo, as when you come back there is still a decent amount of water risidual still left in the air and it has a very unique misting effect that no other dive coasters have. I also love the two pops of ejector airtime going into the splashdown and breakrun. I do agree though, that Shiekra's helix into the MCBR is a lot better than Griffon's turn. I've only been on Valravn, Griffon, and Shiekra but I prefer both Griffon and Shiekra just because I don't think vest restraints work well with dive coasters at all, and the drops on the latter two are much more impactful because of the OTSRs.
Gardaland is my home park and I'm sorry to tell you that the indoor portion of the Oblivion queue line has been closed and abandoned since 2020...

Valravn is my favorite, but I've only been on two so there's not much competition 😂
Valravn is fantastic (secretly one of my favorites at Cedar Point)

I think Oblivion would be at 12 for me after Krake at Heide Park

Dorney hasn’t release a coaster in a long time and the iron menace is a disappointment
I would say Shiekra is better than Oblivion but Oblivion has the better drop

Yeah so lets say that i went to bgt today and i rode sheikra 6 times to in a row since the park was closing and i might of got a little sick 🤮
