    I am having similar issues with a new 12T from Kalashnikov. My bro-in-law found your post on You-Tube and forwarded it to me. What a very good video. You went through everything logically. Good job. I am looking into buying it now. Thanks for a good presentation.

      Thanks! Just a heads-up they sale a buffer also don't get it if you want to run the lights loads. It's was in mine when I did this video I didn't even think about it at the time. But it caused it to jam as well.

    The only issue I ever had with mine was figuring out how to install the mag. I set it on the hot rounds shot the recommended ammo and it runs flawless

      I wasn't using recommended ammo. I like the supper cheap stuff. I've also figured out why it didn't run great that day. It's runs more like 90% better with cheap ammo now and I'm happy with that.

      I figured out why it was not working as good as it could have been. I had a buffer in it and that caused it to not work good. It works great now. Thanks for watching!!

      @@308c where did you buy the kit ? What was the combo called ? I was looking to buy this this weekend but seen alot of videos with it jamming alot on the light loads in you opinion is it worth it and were u able to fix the issue

      I think its worth it because I'm able to run the cheap walmart bulk ammo. You will get some jams if you don't keep the gun tight to your sholder when firing light loads but with out the kit you really won't be able to shoot any light loads.

    Great video! I just bought a used CAMO Limited Edition KOMRAD from Gun Broker. I'm hoping I can get out and run it this weekend, but no place to go out and just pop off some ammo. So off to the range for some good old fashioned Range Time !

    Excellent evaluation and instruction. I'm guessing it will cycle the light loads more reliably after 3k shells or so? So far I've not seen an evaluation of a well used one.

    The fact that its always the last round seems to suggest a magazine issue rather than a gun issue itself. Extracts and cycles fine until there isnt another shell underneath...

      I had a buffer in there that also turned out to cause must of the problem.

    I know this video is over a year old but I have a question. In another video I see your Komrad have the Siaga bolt hold open feature, in this video that push button isn't there. What did you do to add the Siaga BHO feature?

    Also get the guide rod assembly kit from css supply my Komrad runs it all now. P.S use everything in the kit.

      One day I will have to get the guide rod kit. I'm glad you're Komrad is run like a top. You should also look in to the bolt buffer.

    Have you considered adding a very mild choke for the light loads? The extra pressure might help with cycling them a little more reliably.
    I really would love to get one of these Komrads, but even my Vepr 12 is capable of running the Walmart bulk stuff with absolutely zero malfunctions

    I've had my Saiga 12 since 2007 with 0 issues. These look like a clone of those. Only up grade I did was the pistol grip conversion other then that I never had to mess with any gas or spring settings.

      After Sagia where band from inport a US company team up the the the company that made Saiga and got permission and the tooling equipment to make them here in the US. I had to put the same kit in my Saiga to make it work with light loads.

      It looks amazing but to cold for my liking lol. The rail it apart of the foregrip it extens back for it.

      Its a Saiga 12 quad rail handguard. If you Google Saiga 12 handguard you'll find a few websites with it.

    I had no issues running bird shot through my komrad, you just have to have high velocity shells

      The high velocity worked good in mine to but I like my shotguns to be able to run almost every thing. It gives me more options on ammo.

    Lighter spring and a good magazine I've found to be the best kit to increase reliability in those things. I had a really well recommended and reviewed drum, wouldn't feed for nothing. Vertical mags and a soft spring with the gas system all the way open made it work for me.

    Seems like the shells r hitting that top rail and causing jams. Happens sometime with my dustcover. Take that rail and dust cover off keep it clean and bolt and rails well oiled or greased and i bet u it'll run without a hiccup

    The manual says 1350 fps minumum for reliable function

      It's working with 1200 fps. The problem I had during this video was the buffer.

    Pull the bolt back and keep it locked open for a full day.. that should loosen up the spring a little.. mine shots 1300 fps and up all day (ks12t)

      I had a buffer in side of mine at the time and it was keeping my bolt from going fully to the rear to eject the shell.

      Monstrum Tactical has them in stock but it's under Saiga 12. Also if you Google ( Saiga 12 rail ) you can find other companies that sells them too. The foregrip is a Magpul Angled grip.

      Mine hates everything. Even with the Css kit. However a gk03 brake has made it kick less than my ar15!

      I found for both my Saiga and Komrad the best cmbo is spring + plug.

    Just bought a Komrad. What 1913 Rail is that? I’m going to buy the MLok Forend from Kalish and what to put a 1913 rail for an RMR.

      IF you Google ( Saiga 12 handguard )and look in the pictures you can if it that way, I don't remember where I got it or what brand it is, but it was only about 60 bucks. Also makes sure it has the extended rail, if you want it to go over the dust cover.

    Just a question... when you take the forward grip off (your attachment is not), is it now is designed to be carried by one hand, and is now a true pistol?

      It really depends on what state you're in, the the determining factors that makes it a firearm and not a pistol or rifle is the fact it 26" overall and it has never had a butt stock on it.

      Yes! I had a bolt buffer in there that I had to remove. It's been pretty flawless since.

      1200 fps for the Federal and 1290 fps for the Estate.

      I just ordered it plus the performance guide rod. I talked to them and he said that would make the kit work even better. Have you tried wolf buckshot? Ive got a couple hundred rounds on the way.

      @@mattcousins6799 nice you'll have to let me know how it works with that guide rod. Im going to open the low brass setting port on my plug to try getting it to work better. No I've never used wolf in my komrad but I'll try it out if I find some.

      @@10MMRUT the only thing I had to do was get different screw to attack the rail to the gas block. These rail may or may not come with the right one.

      If you live in the United States you can't switch it for a butt stock unless you register it with the ATF as a short barrel shotgun. But all you have to do is put down on the adjustment lever and slide it off from the back. There's no need to remove any pins.

      @@christophermullins2922 ok I see. So there is 2 allen keys on top where the tube meets the reciver. Take those out than you can remove the tube assembly and replace it with any AK style adapter. It might be a tight fit so you may have to tap it off.

    You also have to take in in account it has ti be lubed in the right spots of the bolt
    The better lubed up it is, the better it will fire
    I tried it without lubing the bolt once and it would stove pipe every 5th round
    I would lube it up every 100 rounds

    Definitely should find some cheap buck to run.
    Could always sell it and buy a lynx. They run any ammo right out of the box

      I figured out what was making it not run good and it was because I had a buffer in it that didn't allow the bolt to go fully back.

    That 12 gauge is garbage you'd be so dead All it keeps doing is jamming, One shot jam, one shot jam, one shot jam you would be dead in a gunfight.☠️

      Its working great now. I add some parts I shouldn't have. After I removing them its good. I trust it in a gun fight now.
