@@shen775 DONT DRY FAST !!! your head hurts bc your electrolyte levels are disturbed + lacking energy overall, not drinking water will make your electrolyte levels go even worse. Thats basically whats keeping you alive
It becomes extremely difficult to fall asleep as soon as I start fasting, even if they’re just 16h fasts. My body is tired (because I also workout) but my brain is completely wired. I’m going to try this!
I'm currently on day 12 of my 21 day spiritual water fast and finding I am sleeping last week, average 3 1/2 hours this week, a little better with 5 to 6 1/2 hours sleep. Although my fitbit is saying "poor sleep," I feel alert and refreshed during the day. I started taking electrolytes with 1/8 Hymalayan salt warm water during the day if I'm feeling a little week. Good video to understand what's going on in my body.

I don’t think people with eating disorders are going around looking for the healthiest ways to fast. Usually they have a poor body image and aversion to food. Different problem and different solutions.
I wanted to do a 24 hour fast but I just got out of bed and ate raw broccoli red onions, avocados, and raw almonds so I broke my fast at 3 AM with healthy food but nonetheless I broke my fast. That means I have to fast at 3 AM every day this is messing up my sleep schedule.
I'm not sure what's an optimal volume off the top of my head, but I find it easier to take extra salt as concentrated doses, and then drink water or whatever over the course of the day to balance it out. Then I mostly just drink when I'm thirsty. Your preference may vary. *Obligatory disclaimer: nothing I share online should be considered individual medical advice.

This is a huge problem for me while fasting, the sleep disruption is always making me quit my fast

Well, you could probably tweak your fasting schedule as needed...

I normally sleep good at night but I’ve been dry fasting 20 -23 hrs the last 5 days and I’ve been having trouble sleeping at night.
Yeah. It could be related to some of those hormonal and fluid / electrolyte changes.

I found 3 tsp or pickle juice helps. I’m so happy fasting, it’s the best. I feel like I found the secret to a good life and weight maintenance.
