@@Naveenkumar-xy9qp Can’t lie, that makes me want to watch it more. Spurs are also a big club with nice history, just less history and less recent success. Whenever Spurs actually win the derby, the banter is top tier from their fans. It makes it so much better.

You get blues and villa fans mixing in pubs every day, even match days. Its nowhere near the level of rivally as tyne and wear derby, not even close.

As a palace fan, I’ve always thought our rivalry with Brighton is underrated, even thinking objectively (in terms of the fairly even quality of football, the fact we’ve been rising through the same leagues together, the story, etc). I get that it’s nowhere near the ones you’ve placed above it but fair play for not just sticking us in meh like I was expecting

I live in Ireland and Limerick FC folded and are now Treaty United, but if you ask me Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers is a bit of bigger derby, it's not just big rivalry but it's linked to a class divide as well, Northside v Southside, it's an exhilarating game to witness on and off the pitch, that is pure hatred

The class divide isn’t relevant. Rovers traditional support areas like ringsend and tallaght are as working class as phisboro

To be fair as a Swindon fan I can understand why you’ve put it there it’s not watched loads by neutrals but truest me it’s quite big, due to the way you’ve ranked the tierlist I’d put in decent watch. When we played Oxford at home in 2017 was mad kicked off big time outside the ground and always does when we play them home and away and chants from both sets of fans about each other are proper hatred

It's 100% one of the biggest derbars if you ratio the size of Oxford and Swindon up to the size of the prem teams.
As someone who has never been Oxford or Swindon yet (I'm from Nottingham) can I ask why did they become eachothers hated rivals? Personally I've never quite understood this one because Oxford is also close to Reading and Wycombe whereas Swindon is quite close to Cheltenham and even Bristol
Bristol rovers v Bristol city is a great derby, I was at one of the last ones which was all the way back in 2007. I hope this comes along again some time

Fulham vs Brentford is a very good derby much more fierce then the Fulham Chelsea rivalry. In the Man United match Brentford fans were chanting “You’re going down with the Fulham.” The Fulham QPR derby is also pretty fierce and I went to one of those games and the Fulham fans were yelling stuff at the away section and QPR fans were chanting banter during the match.
My favorite derby is the yo-yo club derby, norwich vs fulham. Its so rare that when it happens i will fly from the us to norwich or london to see it
West Brom’s U23 played Wolves’ U23s in the PL2 cup final. And my god. For a youth game. The atmosphere was so hostile

Personally feel Dundee derby should be in great viewing. Understand from your position how you didn’t put it that high. However it’s always a sell out has relegation and title deciders brilliant atmosphere game is always a belter and the fans are class. Plus both teams in the exact same street

It’s been one sided in the last decade but before then we won the fa cup and was in Europe/prem without them for years. Also spanked them 4-1 twice. Now it’s come full circle. We’ll be back tho. It’s definitely in great viewing, good work

The thing with Liverpool Man U is that they have never been on the same level. Liverpool dominated the 70s and 80s, then they declined as Man U rose. Now Liverpool r miles ahead again.

As a West Ham fan from across the pond it is on my bucket list to watch a game against Millwall in the UK. They haven't played each other since I was 5 which is insane.
The Black Country derby is so underrated the fans literally hate each other with everything the West Brom fans coaches have to get a police escort through Wolverhampton and vice versa when I went a dingles fan threw a brick threw my coach window, there are scraps everywhere I would honestly put it on the same level as villa vs Birmingham.

As someone from Colchester and a former season ticket holder, Southend aren’t even Colchester’s main rivals, there’s considerably more hatred among the fanbase towards Ipswich

Genuinely think that the South Coast derby is one of the fiercest in football in terms of pure hatred because it’s more than just a football match it’s a rivalry between cities. I know Southampton fans who refuse to even step foot in Portsmouth due to how much they hate the club and city and I don’t think that’s really the case with any other derby in the UK.
I've been to plenty Scum/Skates derbies and the hatred is mainly from the Pompey, scum are a bit meh.

As a Newcastle fan I would say we have the biggest Darby with Sunderland, it dates back to the civil war and the Tyne and Wear wars, and the fans have so much passion since the history is insane

Can we stop using how frequently a team plays as a barometer on how hateful a derby is as well as where the clubs are situated in the football league as the lower league derbies will still struggle to be televised with all of the big six games on and 3pm kick off blackouts.
I get that Rovers vs City were put in class which is not bad I guess but Luton/Watford, Swindon/Oxford and Stoke/Port Vale were ranked for reasons along the lines of what I just mentioned.

I think a better derby for port vale would be Crewe Alexandra (the A500 derby as its known locally) the two teams have always been near each other in terms of leagues and their battles to be promoted or stay in their leagues have been phenomenal.
Stoke and Crewe also have a nice bit of give and take, but doesn’t need to be on the list.
(Of course I have a bias being from crewe)

people don’t understand the hatred between watford and luton fans. last time we played with fans there were quite a few fans being taken out on stretchers before the game had even started, and fighting inside and outside the stadium all day

As an Oxford fan, our fans have had chants about hating Swindon when we’re not even playing them😂 When we lost the Checkertade trophy final to Coventry I was sat where the players walked up and we chanted Going down with the Swindon while the Coventry players went up to get there meddled because both Coventry and Swindon got relegated that season. Been many indecent at both grounds of fans kicking off at each other at games and Chants each set of fans exchange are class, can see why it’s there tho cause most people don’t pay attention to it

Old Firm is obviously the biggest and best. I would love to see Celtic and Rangers compete in the English leagues to see what we could do. I’m not naive enough to say that after one season of EPL money that we’d instantly be challenging top 4, but after 3/4 seasons we would start to push top 4. We’d be able to keep hold of our star players whilst adding top quality additions here and there over the course of a few seasons. We’d develop our players to play at that level week-in week-out and we’d then push top 4 and start to then go for the title.

American here, who choose Newcastle as my EPL side in 2006. Watching Sunderland sink lower and lower while having it documented on Netflix has been delicious. That is pure hatred is you ask me!

I would agree with most of your picks but I got to ask. When you say there is no beef to The South Wales Derby do you mean in terms of on the pitch or in the stands? The reason I ask is because one is a completely different ball park to the other! Top 3 derbys imo , 1st: Merseyside derby, might just be me, but surely this is one of the biggest derbys in England. 2: north london derby, i cant say muchm as im not a fan of either, but every time i watch it its intense, and cos both teams are fairly successful, its hectic 3: morth west derby, man u vs liverpool is one of the best matches of the season, whether liverpool are winning 7-0 or getting spanked by diallo in the 120th minute, this match always has me entertained

Hull vs Leeds from a hull perspective, its pure hatred. But Leeds' main rivalry is man utd, not us. It would be a decent watch. Not for the football cos Leeds would wipe the floor with us. But from a fan atmosphere pov, it would be quality. As a teenager when we were both in the championship, it was always the match we looked forward to the most during the season. One memory I have is Leeds having the midday kick off slot on a Saturday and the announcement came through that they'd lost. Everyone in the stand was celebrating that like a city win
