Get Huddersfield up to big. If Burnley and Preston are in big then Huddersfield are. First team to win the English first division 3 times in a row, only 3 teams followed (Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool), 2nd longest unbeaten run in England, 1 FA Cup. Easily a big club and disrespectful to have us in the same tier as Blackpool, Plymouth and Leyton Orient.

Northampton's only achievement is going from the 4th division to the 1st division in 5 seasons, then going back down to the 4th division in another 5 seasons. Ever since then we haven't been higher than tier 3 just bounced between tier 3 and 4 every few years. Best cup run was the 5th round back in the 70s when we played United and George best scored 6 and we lost 8-2

Great Video. One thing that I want to add is the comparison between Southampton and Huddersfield Town:
Huddersfield Town have won 3 League Titles, 1 F.A Cup, 1 Community Shield, become one of the only three clubs to won 3 League Titles in a row (others are Manchester United and Liverpool). They spent 32 Seasons in the Top Flight.
On the other hand, Southampton won 1 F.A Cup and spent 43 Seasons in the Top Flight.
In my opinion Huddersfield Town should be in Big categorie instead of Average because they're bigger than Southampton and you put them above Huddersfield Town.

Southampton have contributed so much to the Premier league as a franchise and football wise in whole though. They currently have the fastest goal and hat trick in the Prem, have one of the best youth academies in the league if not the world scouting the leagues all time top goal scorer and arguably you could take a handful of trophies away from one of the biggest clubs in England (Liverpool) if it wasn't for Southamptons scouting network

When people do these tier lists, wouldn’t it be easier to do it by say grade levels (e.g. A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, etc). Terms such as ‘massive’, ‘big’, ‘average’, ‘small’, etc, are totally ambiguous and vague.

  • @neilefc877

I think this is mostly fair and very well informed by someone who clearly knows his football.
I would however take Liverpool out of Elite because how can you be elite with one league title in almost 40 years?
Additionally, the UCL titles they won were quite fortuitous (finishing 3rd in the group twice, beating Spurs in the final and a massive upset against Milan).
Chelsea is a weird one because, yes, they were a money project but its been twenty years and they have become a global brand. All things considered, my top four tiers would be:
    Tier 1: Manchester United
    Tier 2: Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea
Tier 3: Everton, Aston Villa, Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday
Tier 4: Newcastle, Spurs, Sunderland, Manchester City

@@mattparis02 I know what youre saying but the rules were so dramatically changed that season. Who is to say that LFC would have won that title if the subs rule, social distancing among staff members, not to mention sickness among opposition players and empty stadiums had not come into effect.
I dont think it matters though cause regardless of whether we can count 2019 as a title victory, LFC will win the league in a few months. So youve got your hands on a premier league title regardless.
