Love this advert. For some reason the Banana Boat Song always makes me laugh whether it's Stan Freberg's version or the scene in Beetlejuice or the Trio adverts. "Hey, who ate the pack shot"

You're right. When this ad aired, newsagents hated it because when a mother asked her child what sweet he'd like, the kid would yell at the top of his voice "TRIO, TRIO, I WANT A TRIO AND I WANT ONE NOW!" To be honest though, these were nice. Bring back Trio!

I bought a pack as they are back on limited edition and had my first Trio for over 13 years tonight. They really don't taste the same at all anymore. They have a really bitter and weird after taste to them. Very disappointing to say that they were my favourite biscuit as a child!

Heh heh. This sure brings me back to the time when I was in London. Malaysia's TV ads have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on these at all. 5 stars straight off the bat.
@ericstaltz Yeah! Vice Versas; whatever happened to those?! If I'm not mistaken I think they were brought back on the market sometime in the last decade before fading away again. Remember Terry's 'Moments' bars and 'Tab Clear' the transparent cola?

@0586730O2 I'm *with* you that you miss Pyramints; I remember the Pyramint *bars* which were either lemon (yellow wrapping) or orange (of course, *orange* wrapping) flavour, had pyramid segments and had wafer in them and, when you bit *off* a segment, *steam* came out. The steam coming out of the Pyramint bars looked like *Heaven*!
