Today we're taking a look at Sony's own display, and testing it against the Sony Playstation 5 gaming console. The Sony Inzone M9 is Sony's first foray into the gaming monitor market, with robust features like hdmi 2.1 ports, 4k resolution, 144hz refresh rate, and 120hz with hdmi 2.1 for PS5, This display really leads the pack with the latest technology. But do all those features translate to real life gaming performance? Watch the video to find out.
Hope you enjoyed the video!

Had mine for two weeks now and I absolutely love it, I’m glad you touched on the blackout screen mid game issue, I was thinking about returning it but I think I’ll keep it, the visual experience is outstanding. Good review bud
my tv right now has 720p and no hdr 4K or vrr. I’m getting this monitor with the ps5 how much of a visual experience change will I get?
@@MontrellTellaTruthoh. Well. U will see it yourself friend. 👾🤓
Watched the video, liked it and subscribed!
may I ask what lighting you’re using during night in the room ? looks great
I really love sony products and hoping that blackout mid game issue won't occur when mine gets delivered. Those few seconds would feel like a lifetime on Hunt Showdown.
Great job , I will get one and try it . What is the keyboard name ?
Can u make a vid of the overall best headset for the ps5 is, out of all the ones u have tried.
Hey since you reviewed many headsets what is the best one for Call of duty?
Great video bro!
Glad you enjoyed the vid!
I have a OLED 4k 60 inch tv and it’s amazing
And as always great work 👏🏻
High end 4k OLED TVs are the best
@@picsoleated yes!
@@picsoleated i had this but i could notice the white vertical lines sometimes and it irritated me so i ended up returning it.
@@picsoleatedwhere ya at Brosky you good?:/ hoping your CZcams ain’t dead man don’t give up I know it’s hard af to stay motivated but homie you have a decent size community you can do this shit.
Has the software issue been fixed with an update since release?
i wanna get this monitor but i heard that during in gameplay it goes in and out and that the screen sometimes flickers? can someone confirmed this for me please
How is the Acer Predator XB283K KVbmiipruzx 28 inch UHD 3840 x 2160 I just bought it and was wondering if it was good /I’m on ps5
Great video, would you recommend getting this or waiting for the other hdmi 2.1 monitors releasing this year?
Can u explain what u mean exactly please? Like what brand of monitors u talking about or price & specs, & when? Or any other info u could recommend? I would super appreciate man, I’m thinking of getting something but idk what yet-
THANX!!
@@KY-YE theirs a few. Something like the cooler master tempest gp27u for example
Just ordered this monitor, despite quite lot of negativity.
Was deciding between Samsung odyssey g7 - I don't like viewing angles + curvature and that I have to sit in proper position
msi optix mpg321ur qd - I'm not aware of real downsides, just didnt see this monitor on many reviews, ...
Deal breaker for me is that I don't understand monitors, colors, hdr, ... and I don't even want to. Every monitor I was considering had poor HDR (never tried it before maybe my expectations are too heigh) and I also needed to google if it supports features of my PS5 and I just got tired of that. What settings to use in PS5, what on monitor, I just want plug and play experience as designed by sony and I will eat it. Also I work on macbook so the usb-c is a big plus.
About the flickering that was mentioned in the video I will not stand that. If it flickers it goes back and I will continue using my Dell ultrasharp 27 1440p ...
Keep us updated on how you like it
So… if u looking for a new monitor or new TV…
DEFINITELY GET A 4k!!!
4k is going to make picture look SUPER CLEAR & lifelike!!!…
&….
HDR means HOW BRIGHT THE COLORS WILL POP OFF THE SCREEN… so HDR, HDR 10, & HDR+ are all something that u would want on ur monitor/TV because it makes ur picture look WAY WAY BETTER!
Just imagine super bright colorful bright popping colors!!
It definitely a must have!
Also, some TVs & monitors auto turns on ur HDR… but if I were u, I would go to settings..turn it on.. & that’s it, U WONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT AGAIN!!
Also, 120hz or 120fps.. means how SMOOTH ur gaming will look.. u will need a tv or monitor that has a HDMI 2.1 port for the PS5 can send all that to ur TV/Monitor….
60hz/fps is the norm..
So… THE MORE THE BETTER!!
Alm… VRR…. both also basically means how smooth gameplay will look…
I would recommend getting a tv/monitor with ALL THESE SPECS…. &…. EVEN IF U HAD TO GO INTO UR SETTINGS, EVEN THE SETTINGS ON BOTH PS5 & TV/MONITOR….
I WOULD STILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT… BECAUSE THE WORST CASE IS…
GOING INTO PS5 SETTINGS…
&/OR TV SETTINGS….
***1 TIME****
& THEN THATS IT!!!!
U WILL THEN BE SET WITH THE BEST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE!!!
Hope this helps!!
I think this Sony was a good choice. I stay away from Samsung--great performance, terrible quality. Had bad luck with them. I usually go with LG, but this Sony looks crisp. Wish they offered it in a 32 inch option. Maybe in the future.
Hello, I saw your full video, can you please be honest and confirm my question: Does the flickering of your Sony Inzone M9 only happen when you have connected the Playstation 5 through HDMI 2.1? On PC, have you never seen flickering in any game?
are you able to use a different computer stand other than the ps5 looking one they give you 🤔
yes, any VESA 100x100
Does this monitor support allm setting
Halooo Bro,can you do some reviews on headset steelseries nova wired pro 😁😁😁
What keyboard is that?
Thanks for the review looking to downsize my gaming to a more personal level since couch coop is a thing of the past and feel like just gaming on my work desk would be better and don’t need a 100 inch tv when I sit so close anyway
Hey I was wondering if you'd have any idea as to why I'm running into this issue
When I have this hooked up to my laptop, I'm able to select up to 120hz , but
When I have it hooked up to my PS5 or PC, its only available up to 60Hz
On the "Video Output Information" tab, Under the "supported" section, it shows that it recognizes up to 120 Hz display, but on the "Current Video output signal" it only shows 60Hz
I have turned off Eco mode, Messed with VRR, HDR and all the settings it offers
I've changed the HDMI cable
I even ran the update through the hub app, which was a pain to figure out properly, and still
I am only able to run up to 60Hz
I figured it would be just an issue with the monitor itself, but its weird that on my Laptop it recognized 120hz, but not on my PS5 or PC
I hope that you are able to help , Thank you
Hey, man! I hope you're doing great! The main menu of our PS5 consoles can only output 60hz. But if you'd play a game that supports 4k with 120hz like Call of Duty MW II, make sure your turn it on in the settings in the game, then go back to the main manu, settings, video output, then current video output signal, you'll see that it's running at 120hz.
Sir what’s the base area?
What up man where are you at are you ok?
I’m going to buy one
The problem is that there are other monitors now with more zones like the INNOCN 27m2v, Cooler Master GP27U, and the KTC M27P20. All are around the same price or cheaper. So I see no reason to get the Sony M9. Not saying it's a bad monitor, Just that there are better alternatives. Great video though, Keep up the great content 😄
Would you get the Sony M9 if it was $500?
We’ll the first one innocn doesn’t have hdmi 2.1 so your not getting 120hz at 4k on that monitor
Second one isn’t bad actually honerlty might be better than the m9 but only 50 bucks cheaper. And the last one same as the first don’t even get the full effect of ps5 bc it’s hdmi 2.0, so 4k 120hz is outta the question
@@rogermendoza4136 All the one's I listed have HDMI 2.1, Although I settled on the Acer Predator X32 FP, Since I ultimately wanted a 32 inch MINI LED.
@@armen1136 Good choice with X32 FP, only pixel response time is not top notch but overall great monitor...
And about those cheaper Chinese monitors (Cooler Master is using KTC made monitors) also have issues like flickering, lot of dead-stuck pixel defects, distortion on the edge of the display, backlight failing, and zone transitions are not that good and polished...
And Sony just dropped price +100$
This monitor does not have 100 watt charging via usb-c. It barely has enough to keep the charge equalized.
I’m trading in my acer nitro for this monitor I’m sooooooo excited for it!!!!!!!
Peace be upon you. I would like to ask you. I found the SteelSeries Artix 7p+ headset for 140 dollars. As for the PC version, I found it for 180 dollars. I want to save 40 dollars, knowing that I am a PC player. Is it worth the Sony copy or not?
Ps5 version works the same as the PC version the last I checked.
Love my m9 but I want to see how it compares to either KTC m27p20 or Cooler Master gp27u mini led monitors
Ktc doesn’t even compare to the m9 bc it has hdmi 2.0 so u can’t even do 4k at 120hz
@@rogermendoza4136 obviously you have no ideal what your talking about. The KTC m27p20 has hdmi 2.1
@@rogermendoza4136 both the sony m9 and ktc m27p20 have hdmi 2.1

Got this monitor, best monitor for ps5
Glad you're enjoying it! 4k 120hz is a delight
Does this work like a tv where i only need to plug the hdmi in and then it starts working?
@@onionmaster5967 yes
@@111585sandman awesome
@@picsoleated theres not any games I play that run at 120fps on 4k with a ps5.
I have made up my mind to buy Samsung Odyssey 😊
Can it do 1440p?
can you connect an xbox to it ?
Yes
My monitor is my LG G3 77 because I refuse to sit at a desk like some office ape. I've hated regular monitors for my PC, too damn small. I earn the money so when I game the wife and kids can piss off. They have their own TVs to not bother me
Everyone buying 4k monitors with high refresh rates when very few games support it
LG GN-GP 950 and Philips 279M1RV and Spetrum (all use LG nano IPS R8 panel) in 4K offering do have best design...in 2K world Alienware...and there is a flod of miniled monitors at 2K from 450$ and 599$ for 4K...still I´m looking at this
Mine is garbage
hurry up and finish god of war ragnarok
I refuse! Must do all side quests

Nice
No, it's not the best for your ps5, it's overpriced and doesn't have many dimming zones. You can buy one with more zones for £500 or for £100 more you can just buy a qd oled monitor like the alienware oled or LGs new 27 inch qd oled monitor wich is alot better.
Just got it for $589 open box excellent from Best Buy and it’s definitely worth that price
Those are 1440p and the Alienware is widescreen which isn’t great for console
Do you have any recommendations? I was thinking it’s overpriced too
I farted
I honestly don't know why anyone would buy this over the LG27GR95QE-B, or the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7.
If you're a PC person, for that £1000 range , you'd go for either the LG, or the Alienware 34" oled, if you wanted a better LCD the Neo G7 is often cheaper than the Sony & has almost 1200 local dimming zones.
the Inzone M9 is about £400 more expensive than it should be... £1000 for a mediocre hdr experience, hell nah
Lg one isn’t 4k
@@skillzjr3152 the Neo G7 isn't OLED...
I'd take OLED over 4k all day everyday because 4K is way harder to run optimised & needs a miles better GPU.
@@WildfireX Ik but the lg is too expensive for me. But is the m9 rly that bad? I’ve been thinking abt getting it tdy or tmrw.
@@skillzjr3152 the LG is less than $800/£800 in a lot of places now.
The Sony monitors are trash, don't waste your money.
Go look at a channel like monitors unboxed, they do some good technical reviews of tonnes of panels
