Joshua Langley - then what’s the point of buying a phone for the 90Hz refresh rate? You keep it at 90 your battery sucks, you turn it down to 60 the display isn’t as nice and defeats the purpose for what you bought it for. Conclusion, the phone isn’t that great after all.
In 3 years, smartphone cameras will basically be perfect. The only thing holding them back is HDR and mic quality. Edit: yes, of course, a smartphone camera's sensor can't touch a DSLR or mirrorless camera; in low light. The pixel 3, s10, xs max, even the oneplus 7 pull out really great bright light photos, some on par or better than those. In low light, noise is the biggest downfactor, but with nightsight, or the p30 pros low light software, its really close. 3 years down the line IT WILL BE BASICALLY PERFECT.

Yeah I feel the same, Flossy is just funny to watch while also informative enough. And Avrg consumer is amazing for just showing a regular day with the phone. Not a lot of other reviewers do that. I love watching speed tests and seeing the extreme speed of the OP 7 pro. Or watching battery drain tests. But its cool to see an average consumer using it as well ;)

As always great video. I was going to purchase the 12GB of RAM version but I decided to purchase the model version from T-Mobile. I'm going to play with the settings one the 7 Pro on display performance to compare battery performance. I own the McLaren 6T so there is enough RAM there for me. This is my first time owning a device with a curved display. So far it's not bothering as much as I thought it would.
Went to T-Mobile and this phone is dope! It feels good in the hand for me and after playing with the device for a few and then leaving the T-Mobile store I take my iPhone 8 out of my pocket to make a call I was just spoiled instantly if a device has bezels I don’t want it! I will be picking up this device soon as I pay off my iPhone 8.
I think curved edges been fine thus far. When Samsung put the curves on there phone it was the hottest thing since habanero peppers. it's really just a preference thing I don't think it takes away from the phone at all
Just saw several mint condition Galaxy S10 Plus's, unlocked, for under $750. With that said, I still like the OnePlus 7Pro, other than the battery life, but I'd set it to 1080p at 60Hz, if I got 1 for myself.

I think people like owning expensive things that don't offer anything exciting like iphones and when they get a dif brand that's giving you so much for a bargain people are quick to nitpick..

I was watching a comparison video with a XS Max on the video recording test. The test made the phone recording sound like a tin can. Yours came out pretty good.

Good and honest review unlike the other famous tech youtubers, they won't dare to say negative things about oneplus 7 pro as early as you did..infinity curved display is a deal breaker to me due to exact same reason you have mention..i would rather have the regular oneplus 7 because its cheaper but with similar performance..90ghz refresh rate isn't essential, it would rather drain your battery much quicker..
Using the Oneplus 7 Pro since last 3 years now. Still have nothing worthwhile to upgrade to. Still the best screen in the market, plenty battery life, good stereo speakers, never stutters. Still works like a dream.

Always found it ridiculous that the Curves on a display bother you but the Giant notch on a iPhone doesn't.. I only use screens with Curved edges it makes the Display look so much better! Without it you get those Giants side bezels! Only exception is the S22

Now imagine you’ve had the phone for a year, what do you think the battery life is going to be like? Every 3 hours before you have to recharge it? Oscar Magana I had the Galaxy s10+ since launch and I loved it but with work and my friends I'm in alot of group messages and the s 10 just couldn't handle it properly I would get my messages sometimes 20 minutes later then when everyone else would and picture messages just forget it wouldn't get them at all it was a great phone way better than my Xs max but I had to switch back because of all these message problems
I had an s10 plus and whenever I went to send picture messages to someone some times, it wouldn’t send. I would have to turn my mobile data on and off again for it to send, ridiculous.
Wow, haven't watched you in ages, forgot how much I always enjoy yr vids! I'm back at my every 2 yrs of final decision of which new phone to buy. The One + was on my short list until I watched this. 2 reasons: 1) battery life, have been plagued with low battery life for 8 years and 3 models of Galaxies. I refuse to get another phone that has crappy battery life. 2) Your camera comments. Also I was so happy to hear you comment on the damn Curved edges. I hate them but for a different reason. I think my black case with raised edges blocks out a lot of that light you mention. What bothers me daily is the difficulty in X'ing out any little boxes that are right at the edge. Including with no case on phone and either with finger or stylus ( I use a stylus most of the time because of my arthrutis/medical issues with fingers etc). It disrupts many games I play and trying to close obtrusive ads. Since I'm complaining here, I also hate how narrow all the phones in past few yrs have become. The Samsung S5 was the perfect width IMHO. I had been tending towards a Huawei P 30 pro but I had seen that it doesn't support Wi-Fi calling (a must have where I live) and I want a US warranty. Of course the racist in chief telling me that I can't buy Huawei makes me want one even more 😉 So now I'll anxiously await yr review of the Note 10 as it gets unpacked this week. The 855+ processor sounds appetizing. But any comments or advice you can give would be much appreciated. Keep up the awesome work!
The camera isn't raising there price, one plus said it themselves, an IP rating is expensive, wireless charging is expensive, plus all the accessories that are 100% compatible, real top notch security. That's what your paying 400-600 more for

Johnny Arellano it’s weird I hate the curved display on my note 9 because of the glare, accidental touches, and I using the s pen near the edge is a mess. Yet phones look a lot better with a curved with display. Weird. Would be happy with a flat note 10 though

Not having wireless charging is a deal breaker for me. It is just so easy to put my phone on the charging pad next to my bed, with the lights off. It is convenient a lot. And if you have a car with wireless charger, it is that much better.
I am really liking this phone. I bought mine from T-Mobile and for some reason it didn't have the preinstalled screen protector. I would definitely suggest getting a screen protector too, because it got some scratches on my screen from just being in my pocket. Nothing but the phone in my pocket, the denim itself scratches the screen.
Its smoother than pretty much every Android phone with 60hz tho. I honestly dont think the will have that in the next phone, maybe in 2020, but not yet.

I believe you can also toggle the setting to make the screen only run at 60Hz rather than the 90Hz to save battery life.

@@smakshgalhotra8037 I prefer the S10 as it has expandable storage, s headphone jack, IP-rating and better support here in Sweden! The OnePlus 7 Pro (and S10 Plus) are both a bit too large for me because I like to use my phone with one hand

Oscar Magana I had the Galaxy s10+ since launch and I loved it but with work and my friends I'm in alot of group messages and the s 10 just couldn't handle it properly I would get my messages sometimes 20 minutes later then when everyone else would and picture messages just forget it wouldn't get them at all it was a great phone way better than my Xs max but I had to switch back because of all these message problems
I had an s10 plus and whenever I went to send picture messages to someone some times, it wouldn’t send. I would have to turn my mobile data on and off again for it to send, ridiculous.
Wow, haven't watched you in ages, forgot how much I always enjoy yr vids! I'm back at my every 2 yrs of final decision of which new phone to buy. The One + was on my short list until I watched this.
2 reasons: 1) battery life, have been plagued with low battery life for 8 years and 3 models of Galaxies. I refuse to get another phone that has crappy battery life. 2) Your camera comments.
Also I was so happy to hear you comment on the damn Curved edges. I hate them but for a different reason. I think my black case with raised edges blocks out a lot of that light you mention. What bothers me daily is the difficulty in X'ing out any little boxes that are right at the edge. Including with no case on phone and either with finger or stylus ( I use a stylus most of the time because of my arthrutis/medical issues with fingers etc). It disrupts many games I play and trying to close obtrusive ads. Since I'm complaining here, I also hate how narrow all the phones in past few yrs have become. The Samsung S5 was the perfect width IMHO.
I had been tending towards a Huawei P 30 pro but I had seen that it doesn't support Wi-Fi calling (a must have where I live) and I want a US warranty. Of course the racist in chief telling me that I can't buy Huawei makes me want one even more 😉
So now I'll anxiously await yr review of the Note 10 as it gets unpacked this week. The 855+ processor sounds appetizing.
But any comments or advice you can give would be much appreciated.

This camera is just fine to REGULAR people like myself. Neither the Samsung S10 or XS Max is worth $400 - $600 more.
The camera isn't raising there price, one plus said it themselves, an IP rating is expensive, wireless charging is expensive, plus all the accessories that are 100% compatible, real top notch security. That's what your paying 400-600 more for

s10 basically costs 700 on amazon, basically the same price as the one plus 7 pro. but the s10 has a better camera. both phones are over your price range, stop being that person

Johnny Arellano it’s weird I hate the curved display on my note 9 because of the glare, accidental touches, and I using the s pen near the edge is a mess. Yet phones look a lot better with a curved with display. Weird. Would be happy with a flat note 10 though

Not having wireless charging is a deal breaker for me. It is just so easy to put my phone on the charging pad next to my bed, with the lights off. It is convenient a lot. And if you have a car with wireless charger, it is that much better.

What you want? If you want the Headphone Jack or Wireless chrarging, go for the S10+. But i would recommend the Oneplus
One plus for super long support with open source custom roms and kernels. This phone can survive a long time
I am really liking this phone. I bought mine from T-Mobile and for some reason it didn't have the preinstalled screen protector. I would definitely suggest getting a screen protector too, because it got some scratches on my screen from just being in my pocket. Nothing but the phone in my pocket, the denim itself scratches the screen.
