@@simeonbozdukov4611 We could tell by the row of quarters neatly displayed on the shelf! lol A place for everything, right? BTW: Do you still work on cruises? I watched this video almost 4 years ago and someone posted a reply to a comment I left. I didn't even remember leaving the comment, let alone watching it- so I watched it again just now....
I would have been really happy with a single cabin like this when I worked on ships back in the '80s and 90's ! I lived in some really shit accommodations and had to share at that.
I world have given my front teeth for this single cabin back in my days while working on a cruise sip. Well all had to share and my roommate continues farted, farted all day, farted all night, every time he moved he was farting. After a year I just left.
On the ship you have a lot of staff, 2600 on this ship at the time of the video to be exact. And you are allowed to interact with other staff, some people even come on the ship as a couple and they have a different rooms ( double).
Hi Simeon - thanks for posting this back in 2014. I am joining Celebrity Edge this month (my first contract). I can't find any information *anywhere* on crew living arrangements/facilities. Do you have any idea where I might look, or do you happen to know if the cabins are single occupancy with shared toilet or not? It's a very new ship, hence probably why there isn't much info out there. Or can anyone else on here help for that matter?!
Hello, i have a question. for example, i am staying alone in cabin. i have a drink package. i met 1-2 people in ship. "CAN i buy 2-3 drinks in same TIME in bar ?" is it possible ? thank you from now for your answer.
Water is hard to come by believe it or not. You need to get it from the main hallway from the public tab and refil your water bottle, and Pringles are good snack when crew mess is closed.
well we usually lock the bathroom door from our side, only when you shower you lock it from the other side but to be honest the guy from the other room can hear the shower and he would not enter in the room. the nice part about it is if you are having friends over we open both doors and we make it as a small double room party :)
Hi @Simeon, do you still work onboard? Its possible to reach you by some social media or something like that? I am embarking on Celebrity Solstice in February 14 and I would like to take some hints from you if possible! Great video and thanks!
No I haven't worked there since 2014 but your going on the same ship so I think this video is informal of what to expect the room to be they haven't changed
That basin inside the room though.......on Princess Cruiselines i never saw a cabin configured like that......its just sad.....regardless if you spend time in the cabin or not. Degrading
This is for PAID employees, NOT for PAYING passengers. Suck it up. Besides, you will be working long hours and won't be in that cabin very often. If you want the larger cabin and a balcony, cough up the $1000 and ride once as a paying guest. :-) As for that condom, keep an eye on your roomy. That might NOT be for his girl friend. It might be for YOU. :-)
How much did you have to pay for this horrible cabin? How many days did you book? Did you ask to move-upgrade to a better room that could have not been booked for a comparable price? Why didn't you keep several of your water bottles in the fridge? Or maybe I didn't see them... Did shower water leak out into your cabin? A comment...the cabin they offer looks identical to the prison or jail cells on T.V. like "Cops" .

In this cabin you stay alone but that's not on every ship as I've been to one where we had to be 4 in a room. You can buy stuff from crew bar and other places just the same as if you where on a land but there is food and drinks for free as a staff and the selection is larg on any ship. Sometimes you get free things depending on your job.
Pretty cool looking at a crew cabin, thanks for showing! You are extremely well organised!
Yeah I'm a bit OCD

When I was in the navy twelve guys had to live in a space that size. You are lucky !
Yessir, 3-4 men shared one bed
Love room tours. This is the smallest room I’ve ever seen. Thanks for sharing! 🚢
My daughter's Barbie dream house has a bigger room than this!
I think it compares to a room my Dad got at a hotel in London, looks like a closet

Nice view!!!!
I see a condom next to your Tom Clancy book. safety first!

They do make stops you know. Ever hear the saying, 'a girl at every port...?'
I noticed the irony of having all his 'gloves' in the same drawer. lol
@@angelastacey8117 or any port in the storm 😁
Yep that is the room I had as photog on Celebrity Eclipse in 2012 where your neighbour from other room and you share the same bathroom.
That's a special crew cabin noy a regular crew member's cabin
It's regular on this specific ship
Would you mind tell me your position? All crew cabins are like yours or you gotta be a staff member to stay in these cabins?
Staff member

You won't know untill you get there as there is no way to know how it is on that specific ship unless you know someone who have been there before.
That doesn't seem bad at all for a crew cabin on a cruise ship. The condition for cruise ship workers can be pretty bad

Ninjago ship brought me here
i would like that room as wouldnt wanna share.
This is clearly an employee room, not a paid guest.
That is actually not a bad size room for a single. Just make sure the other bathroom door is locked and you are good to go.

see there you go. thats why the world is running out of water. nobody group showers anymore. Bring back the village shower I say! Sava da water
