Good idea until you learn rats and mice chew. They will just figure out there is no exit so they will just solve their own problems and chew their way out and rats wouldn’t be able to fit through a hole that small and if they did manage to get in there somehow they will still chew out, I would know my rat cage has a big plastic bin and onetime they chewed it, plastic zip ties didn’t work so we had to use mettle, but a good live trap idea if you can get your hands on a mettle bottle that would work, just please make sure it is safe for the mouse and doesn’t get too hot for them

This is not humane. Unless they get the mouse in the bottle and then release it far from there house, this could be one of the most inhumane. Leaving s mouse in a small space with limited breathing space to starve or thirst to death. This is the human equivalent to putting someone in a glass coffin in the middle of a house. Basically being buried alive but you see everything, knowing that they see you and refuse to let you out
