Looks great!
The one thing I would do different is use springs and not lift blocks in the back.
I donât care what anyone says Iâve had 4 RC lifts and Iâve loved every single one!
đđ
looks amazing so far! I would do another rough country lift some day. I installed one on my 2002 Sierra back in 2010 and it has held up so good. 10 years later and everythingâs still strong. Keep up with the videos! Loving the build.
Thanks Aaron I appreciate the feedback on your RC kit
Everyone hate on rough country but I've had rough country on a couple vehicles with a good amount of miles on them and never once had a problem wheeled and towed with them and still holding up fine
I totally agree
Something is just awesome about seeing just the chassis sitting there lifted on those Wheels!
You definitely have me sucked in the past couple months! I find myself disappointed every time I check to see if there is a new video for the day. Keep them coming!! Awesome stuff đȘđȘđȘ
What a great bunch of guys helping you that truck is gonna be beautiful.
Looking đ„!! Keep it up man this truck will be better than a new one when itâs done!! All the rust prevention and the better frame paint! it will be a jewel thatâs for sure!
Thanks đ
Damn I love that color keep up the good job she is coming along good
I got my Duramax life sticker way cool thanks Josh.
Thanks a ton James
Thats gonna be a awesome transformation man! Keep it up josh its awesome you got all the help and support you did with this build.
Thanks Bobby
Looks great, looking forward to seeing the finished Victory Max.
I did the same kit on my 06 2 months ago, I opted for the kicker braces, uca, tie rod sleeves and v2 shocks also you can use 07-13 1500 traction bars on it. No issues yet
Truck looks great already. Cant wait to see how the lift performs!
Looking good so far JOSH đđ Can't wait to see the finished truck have a good day
Thanks John
Can't wait to install my zone 6" lift on my truck that was totaled in ohio. Fully rebuilt and ready to go! Got the dually up and running, alot to keep up with 2 duramaxs but they'll be nice when finished.
Iâm so excited to see this truck finished. Great job so far love the videos
Thanks Zach
That lift kit is alsome I've been wondering what to go with when I lift my truck this looks like the way to go, the frame is looking great can't wait to see the body, thanks again for the great videos and the hard work, keep em coming.
I really appreciate it
Love the frame and lift looks great Josh.
The frame looks awesome đ can't wait to see it done!
Thanks brother
Truck is coming out amazing keep up the good work!
Josh you just keep knocking it outta tha park đ thankx a million brother
Thanks James âŸïž
The truck is coming together nicely hell yeah can wait for the final result itâs gonna be a perfect truck!
Just keep bringing another "wow factor " ...looking good. Me I would have used springs for the rear lift vice blocks..but it is what it is.. I also might only have gone 4 inches... just enough to clear 35's... but if you are going tall, go to 40"s..37's atleast. Now is a good time to install air bags for load leveling. Bigger brakes, poly bushings and body bushings... but hey your doing a great job and it looks great. Just don't rush it... take the time to enjoy the build and do it right. The build is the fun, and you don't need to hurry. Used to run sand drags in the early 70's... paddles and horsepower... but I saw a lot of built buggies with built volkswagon engines blow away big block rigs... horsepower to weight ratio.... fast and fun...
Great job josh
Thanks đ
I love your videos
I like it and the lift kit with those tires đđŒ
Looking awesome. I prefer stock height and wheels, but that's just personal preference.
the lift kit looks good I love it just the right height not to high
great build will it be up for when its all done lol keep up the great work
Shes coming along nicely đ
Thanks
Awesome job
Lookin Good!
Freaking cool man love the channel brother , đșđž thank you for your service đșđž
Thanks đ
Itâs looking great đ„đ„đ
This looks so much better with the lift ! đŹđȘđ»
I definitely agree
Gonna be an awesome looking truck
Love the channel Josh. I'm from northern Alberta and my lly duramax and 7.3 are twice as rusty as the victory max if not more and they still put out and I love it lol let em eat
Thanks đ
You should get some sulastic shackles for the $1000 duramax build. Huge improvement in ride quality
awesome!
Boy that Earl guy sure is going to have a nice truck when its done đ
Dang it earl
Wheels! Haha rim is a parts that makes up a wheel. Looks great tho!
What made you go with lift blocks on this build instead of springs. I remember you saying how much you didnât like blocks when you took them off of your other truck
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!!
Thanks
It's funny that all this is happening about 10 minutes from where I live lol
Very nice.
Sorry if youâve already mentioned it but are you gonna color match the bumpers front and back, or keep the chrome? That will be extremely clean If you do man. Looking good already
I think there's a ROUGH COUNTRY FACTORY in Dyersburg, Tn.
I have a feeling WhistlinDiesel had something to do with this trucks pastđ
Looks very good could have went with the rough country 6 inch coil over set up
Definitely a great choice
will you get new wheels and tires or use the set in your garage? i love that original set would be cool to see them get used again! either way excited for the build man! great work by you and the crew!
Thanks đ Iâm actually getting a chrome set
Maybe you should get a red lmm duramax like the one you had before
Absolutely nothing against what you guys are doing but it looks like when me and a few friends and a case or two of beer look like. Just some pros doing what they do in a relaxed environment
Looking good
Thanks
@@TruckMaster can't wait to see it cruise through Owosso
It will look awesome in Owosso
Wishing I could lift my 03 duramax.
Your lbz truck gonna need new rims and tires lol. I wanna see you getting truck with zf6 and long bed then restored it.
Might as well go shop at the 99 cents store for lift parts if youâre going with rough county đ
SIIICKKK!!!! You ever try BDS Suspension?
Far superior for very little more money
That truck deserves BDS and FOX !!
Could have but I used them on other trucks itâs time to give RC a try on my own build
Truck Master Youâre going to find out soon that the name doesnât lie. Every road in the country becomes rough. Iâve now removed 4 rough country lift kits and replaced with BDS including my own truck. Looking forward to seeing the build wrap up.
Say it again...youâre one lucky dude. That said, with the body off and engine/trans out, did you have to shave your front diff or is that a 1500 fitment issue. Nice progress!!!
Definitely had to shave the front diff. Thanks đ
Did you have to use wheel spacers in the rear on that kit? I've heard alot of people saying you do.
No
What paint did they use to coat the frame?
The info is in my frame paint video but utech paint and epoxy raptor
Coming along great, but you should have went with a different color
Which part of michigan are you from the up or the actual date part ??
Lansing area
what kind of paint did you use on the frame?
I did a full video on the paint if you want to watch it. Itâs raptor line epoxy
Are you gonna install Leather seats and Steering wheel
Not to sure yet
Truck Master you wonât regret it
@Truckmaster What paint did he use to restore the frame?
I just posted a video on it if you want to check it out I left the link in that video but itâs from raptor line
Truck Master ok thanks.
đđđ»
I just would like to know what the cost is to restore the frame like that
Itâs tough to say I stripped down my entire truck if your willing to do that it will be much cheaper but in my case itâs probably around $1500 with paint and labor
Why didnât you sas it?
Is this kit a 4-6" or just a straight 6"?
6
Watch my last video of abandoned semi and equipment.
Stock is boring. Glad youâre lifting it. Iâd rather see an 10â lift
What state you live in
Heâs in Michigan
How much was kit
$1100
My rc lift, the blocks are terrible mine going over bumps in the rear is like a jack hammer
Wow you might need new shocks or look into deaver lift springs
@@TruckMaster will check it out thanks, ive had them on there for awhile and towed a 23ft cuddy cabin boat so I'm sure there due, I'm going to bilstein 5100
Ben Allen
Youâll love the Bilestein 5100âs. I put them on my truck and tow a 29 footer.
It just glides over the bumps đ
@@TruckMaster I see what your saying now the leafs get rid of the blocks. Idk why this wasn't offered to me at the "professional offroad" shop lol
Why Rough Country?. Why not something a little better where you don't have to cut up the front diff?
I bet old owner is jealous about this build. He paid the price by losing money due to ignorance about maintenance and rust prevention.
I wonder if I can get him on the channel
@@TruckMaster That will be epic! ... his expression..đđŒđ
I will try
If I were the old owner I wouldn't be jealous at all, I'd be happy watching the build. Obviously no shop is going to do all this for free for a normal person. You do realize how much money you or I would have to pay to have all this work done, right? Far, far exceeds the value of the vehicle even in perfect condition. The money put into this truck as a down payment on a 2020 Dmax would make the monthly payment very low.
Honestly I donât like lift kits, I donât think they are practical. I would rather spend the money under the hood and have big power, because Iâm a dairy farmer, and I routinely pull 25-30,000 pound silage wagons. My good ol 03 LB7 does great at it. No shit Iâve ive run those wagons over a scale. That pickup has no trouble whatsoever, even though itâs only rated for something like 15,000 lbs. Never checked, cause the truck does all I ask of it, and Iâve put 50,000 very hard miles on it
Spends all kinds of money on a frame up.
Buys the cheapest, worst lift money can buyđ
âClean and niceâ doesnât go in the same sentence with Rough Country đđ
Canât please them all đ
Truck Master I actually really like all of your videos. Iâll still be here for the future video when you take it off.
RC is bottom of the barrel lift kits, and you didnât save much money money by not going with something better quality
Put a real lift on
How are we supposed tell you about the kit we saw a brake removal and you talking. Kind of a waste and thumbs down.
I'm sorry...cant stomach RC .....but watch ur diff angle....their blocks are not tapered like they should be...if the diff is straight on to the front diff like all u need is a straight bar to hook them up. Start buying U-joints now.....I hope ur selling this truck.......they dont stand by their stuff and dont care about customer satisfaction......I had major problems with them and their products. đ€źđ€źđ€ź their shocks are a mass produced and only have a one way valve body N-2 & N3'S...junk!!!! Couldnt keep my truck in the road!!!!!
