    Wunderschöne und detaillierte Aufführung dieses einzigartig doch perfekt konstruierten Meisterwerks mit klarem Klang des genialen Schlagzeugs und seidigen Tönen aller Streichinstrumente. Der ebenso geniale Dirigent leitet das kompakte und ausgezeichnete Orchester im präzisen doch gut phrasierten Tempo und mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wundervoll!

    It's also fascinating to me how different Pärt's orchestration of this piece is compared to the original... it really makes you question what Pärt considers essential to the character of Fratres (as well as music as a whole!)

    • @giuoco
      @giuoco Před 7 měsíci

      What do you mean exactly? Isn’t the original by Pärt? Did he orchestrate it differently later?

    • @giuoco
      @giuoco Před 5 měsíci

      @@colinbeckingham874 but the main comment said Pärt’s orchestration was different than “the original”. What is the original? Who orchestrated the original? I know there’s different versions, that’s not what i was asking

      The original Fratres was written for chamber orchestra (1977), but there are many different versions of the piece. Probably the most famous one is for violin and piano (1980) which has a totally different character. All versions are mesmerising in their own ways ❤️

      essential? ,,, what you do not hear with your ears - what is between. the essence!

    It always feels to me like Pärt tapped into something very primal with this piece... it must be his 'tintinnabuli' style of composition, since it's so heavily influenced by mysticism and chants

    Hum... Malgré tout le bien que je pense de l'orchestre de Francfort, je trouve que cette orchestration de Fratres et son exécution manquent singulièrement de relief.

    Please watch this at the lowest quality only (144p) since it's just for the music, which is much more ecologically responsible than at a higher rate. Watching this at 240p (which is unnecessary for listening purposes), will increase the bandwith by double to almost tenfold! At 1080 the bandwith is augmented by a factor of 100!
    The use of digital technology accounts for 4% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions, as much as the emissions from the world's truck fleet. Of that, a BIG part comes from livestreaming videos, mainly 3 sources : CZcams, Netflix and porn.
    Let's enjoy this beautiful music by being aware and responsible, doing our little part in decreasing our carbon footprint and protecting this wonderful planet for the generations to come.

      Yes, and, an even better solution is to download it as MP3, to be able to play it with the only energy of 1 device: your "mp3player"! And not any other kind of rooter/wifi box, 4G-5G brodcasting hardware, "cloud" based giants severs and theire enoumous cooling system...

    Love the piece and love the orchestra, but this performance seems perfunctory. Objectively, there's no nuance in phrasing, they are often not together, and they are often not in tune. The latter is especially puzzling in light of the repetition of the same chords, in the same voicings, over and over again. Lack of rehearsal? Blame the conductor? Thoughts? (Or just dump on me for being right/wrong?)

    • @scarbotheblacksheep9520

      It's not the same chords each variation. They shift through the scale.
