- This will be first flash animation i ever made. About the battle of kings between kong and godzilla. I am fans of both this awesome behemoths, so i give it both equal ground regardless most of us thought about which one better or stronger. There can be only one king at the end, so prepare to see a death..... maybe

Why are people so butthurt abiut this? You Godzilla fans said it yourself "kongs only advantage is speed and intelligence (he's also VERY strong)", and those things are shown in this animation.

Fantastic! I really enjoy the animation and art style. The music although probably from the osts from these franchise is well used and very well placed. The fight feels realistic enough for what this is. All around an amazing job! Keep up the good work!

It's hard to say who would win. Godzilla has the advantage of durablity and his regeneration. when the US first discovered him in 1954, they hit him with so many nuclear weapons but Godzilla was unaffected. any weapons that did hurt him only lasted for a few hours/days and Godzilla had already healed. Godzilla also has alot of combat experience. not only has killed countless Mutos before San Fracisco but he most likely fought with other memebers of his own kind over territory or mating. this is the reason he kept overwhelming the Mutos everytime he fought them 1 on 1. plus, Godzilla has his Atomic Breath which he can use to do serious harm or push back his enemies if he should get into trouble. if that doesnt work, Godzilla has a long and powerful tail he can use as a gigantic club. however he does have his weaknesses. for one, Godzilla lacks focus. when the Mutos ganged up on him he didnt know which Muto to attack his since he's used to fighting 1 on 1. this is the reason the Mutos were able to push Godzilla into a corner. so if another monster were to team up with Kong, Gozilla might be in trouble because he doesnt know who he should attack first. another weakness is that Godzilla is slow due to his massive body. it takes him a while to get around. if Kong retreated, Godzilla would have a hard time chasing after him. now lets talk about Kong. unlike Godzilla, Kong has alot of experience fighting more than 1 enemy at a time due to his island always swarming with SkullCrawlers. Kong has long arms which and can use to make punches without being right in his enemy's face, and his opposable thumbs which he can use to climb and grab. Kong shows high levels of intelligence and so he can use his environment has a weapon by picking up objects such as large trees and rotor blades to smash on his enemy's head like a baseball bat. Kong may not be as big as Godzilla (Yet) but he can use his smaller size to get around faster. however, Kong has a serious disadvantage against Godzilla. for one, Kong is not as durable. Godzilla took nuclear explosions to the face and walked it off while Kong was hurt from the blades of a helicopter. Kong does not have a advance healing factor either so his wounds wont be gone within an hour. if Kong gets hurt while fighting Godzilla he could be in serious trouble. plus it is not known if Kong has any experience with fire breathing monsters on his island because if not, he'll be in for a surprise when Godzilla uses Atomic Breath. so how do I imagen the fight when Godzilla and Kong finally meet? Kong will most likely do some serious damage in the beginning with his longer arms and using the environment around them as a weapon against Godzilla, but with Godzilla's durability and regeneration he may outlast Kong in the long run of the fight. Kong may be forced to retreat because his attacks are not very effective. Kong may be punching Godzilla in the face with fists, but Godzilla is cutting Kong with his claws and teeth and causing him to bleed. Godzilla may have bruises but Kong has open wounds. this is pretty much like a gorilla vs a crocodile that stands upright. overall I think Godzilla still has the advantage over Kong. but this is all just my opinion.

Damn I really liked this! I'm both a major Godzilla and major Kong fan. I really liked Godzilla 2014, Skull Island (and of course Shin Godzilla). I find myself often defending Kong and saying I'm sure he'd put up a better fight than they expected. This is pretty close to how I picture it, Kong is faster, Godzilla stronger and tougher. I just hope part 2 doesn't just have Godzilla relying on atomic breath to get ahead. C'mon next part!

Even if Kong survives a shot from the atomic breath and wins he won't survive. He isn't a god nor is he invulnerable; the radiation will eat away at his life until the ape simply falls to the ground; a lifeless husk of what was.

Just think about it, how can a 7 m tall ape, an ape that was brought down by a dozen
50 cal. machine guns, possibly survive a battle with a 50 m tall sea monster that survived the full might of the Japanese Military (Defense Force)? Even when Kong was scaled to Big G's height, his durability shouldn't have changed that much at all considering that a missile would still be more destructive and fatal to him than a scaled bullet/Artillery Shell.
There's no reason whatsoever as to why Godzilla's atomic breath shouldn't vaporize Kong at first contact or why Godzilla's very presence didn't give Kong cancer from radiation exposure. In terms of strengh Godzilla still takes the lead because he was strong enough to through a 30,000 ton Anguirus like a toy and tore apart powerplants with his bare hands like it was nothing.
In addition, Big G healed from a full barage of everything Japanese had at him, and this is just early Showa Godzilla I'm talking about. Literally the gap keeps getting wider the more we go down Godzilla's movie series, comic and games, so a scaled King Kong shouldn't be able to do more than grapple with Godzilla for a few minutes, because literally anything Godzilla does should be able to kill that Ape.
But unfortunately, Universal and Toho didn't see it that way and wanted Kong to win because he was more publicized (with his 20 year head start in films), so fans the whole world over (even in Japan) were more familiar with King Kong and genuinely rooted for him (at the time of course). I don't think anyone at all was debating this because the whole "who would win in a fight" conversations hadn't quite reached fiction yet... at least not serious ones anyway.
Kong won because the writers and producers decided to ignore all logic with this movie and just let Kong win because "why not".
In an actual fight in general (one without studio limitations or brand restrictions), any version of Godzilla should stomp King Kong without any real effort.

Which one? There are dozens of different versions of Godzilla. Several are weak and several are strong. So be more specific. I'm just really tired of wannabe Godzilla fans confusing feats from different films that don't relate to the previous films. Showa is one of the weakest and doesn't even compare to the Heisei era Godzilla.
Kong's height never stays consistent at all. In all his appearances, his height has been altered for a specific movie. So Kong being around the size of Godzilla isn't really a big issue.

1962= 148'
1967= 66'
1976= 50'
1986= 60'
2005=25'
2017= 100'
It wasn't just popularity that got Kong the win. The creators of Godzilla were huge fans of the character and was one of the biggest influences.

Finally here is a badass battle between the two monsters! I'm rooting for Kong he's stronger smarter faster and more agile. When the atomic breath comes in he should take many hits from it and shrug it off like 62, surprising Godzilla. Really cool animation, especially for your first!

He is stronger. Godzilla hasn't even lifted any of his opponents off the ground while Kong thrashed his around like a rag doll.
Godzilla 62's atomic breath melted shit on impact and Kong shrugged it off, Godzilla 2014's atomic breath burnt but didn't melt. It knocked out the female Muto though, you could say it's because of their tough skins but Kong's is tough too, it's just that he was a kid when we saw him get burnt alive. Kong adapted to whatever hurt him, example the Mire Squids flesh melting ink. The only way Godzilla's atomic breath would "obliterate King Kong" is by it being shot down Kong's throat, which you know Kong wouldn't let happen. The only reason Godzilla got to do that was because the humans served as a distraction and he got to sneak over there. Kong's got extremely keen senses, Kong is always fighting 24/7 while Godzilla was asleep. This means Kong, especially a fully grown one in his prime, would be a more experienced fighter. Kong's speed and dexterity helps throughout the fight, as Godzilla's slower attacks are easily outmaneuvered by Kong. I'm not saying he's extremely slow, but Kong is definitely going to be punching a lot. Being clawed or bitten doesn't kill him (especially being bitten in the throat) and Kong is going to be extremely strong. Stronger then Godzilla most likely, evenly matched if anything. See Godzilla is going to try to push him like he did the female Muto, but she couldn't get her hands up to stab Godzilla, only up in a direction that would allow for her to hold onto the buildings. Kong's body allows for defending and countering Godzilla's primary attacks, he can easily dodge a tail whip and land a massive uppercut, he's got quite a bite of his own, and his strength would allow for him to flip and swing Godzilla around. He'd have the reach advantage too. The director is taking inspiration from the original, and we did see Kong perform those two moves in his movie. So logically Kong would win the fight, but like you said it'll either end in a draw or a win for Godzilla. But I think whoever wins they're going to pass out next to the loser and then wake up and go their separate ways in respect of each other once they realize there on the same team. I don't know, but it's definitely 50/50, not this whole "Kung is too smaLL!!!!1!" or "he'll GeT One sHoted" because you guys know damn well they're not going to make a movie like that. by the time they fight in 2020, godzilla is already grown in 2014. Not much of a size difference, really. Because kong is growing from the 70's, doesn't mean godzilla is.

now imagine Kong being 130 meters tall... he would weigh around 130,000 tons.
Then multiply that by ten for how much he could bench press... 1,300,000 tons...
Godzilla weighs around 164,000 tons... so it would make sense that Kong could (trying his absolute hardest) throw Godzilla over his shoulder.
Considering even a normal human can throw something that weighs 30 pounds over their shoulders when they can bench press 300 pounds. Makes sense.

not sure what movie you were watching but you are definitely mistaking godzilla for one of the t-rexes from the old black and white kong film. the only movie that king kong fighting godzilla prior was the godzilla i cant remember from what generation. but it was in colour and i assure you kong did not rip anyones jaw open in that. the only reason he ended up winning in that movie was because they had to make up special lightning powers for him.
