    The Disney steategy, always raise prices, desperately wanting it to make bank, not realizing a service should have a set price that never raises.

    I already have to cut back on game pass. Putting the price up isn't going to make more money, it will just extend the time inbetween intervals in which I can afford it.

    Microsoft just keeps making terrible decisions first they nerfed the rewards system then everyone's game captures have a time limit of 90 days before they are automatically deleted now this I'm cancelling my membership when this takes affect

    Next year it's $24.99, they'll remove "standard" for two new tiers, but PC will also get more options. Ultimate will no longer include PC.

    Is there a reason why it's increasing or just because they felt like it? Like new gimmicks or just because?

    Capture the market share then raise the price. Classic business move.

    They are lifting the price to compensate for COD sales. So instead of buying COD for 70 dollars they will make you pay over 200 a year to have access to it. So basically you're just buying COD but it takes a year to pay for it instead of buying it outright.
    What are they doing. It's like they ate allergic to positive momentum.

    The game pass model was never going to stay with a low price. There is no profit in the long run. It was always going to go up.

    Bro I swear Sony and Microsoft are driving away customers do like Nintendo and make it a moderate price but not as low as Nintendo cause 20 dollars is not a lot

    • @Fate862
      @Fate862 Před 16 dny

      The thing is that that will go up too in the future for sure. Because nintendo has increased its prices already and introduced their higher tier subscription. So not only did they add another tier but they raised the prices of both after that. So since your saying its not alot, they will soon say "You know what your right, people pay our increasing prices lets go higher!" Its the same thing they did with Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and charged $70 for it. Nintendo also has done things that should drive people away, only some left others stay. Like their games never going on sale we all know their first party games never go below a certain amount but on other consoles and steam first party games go down to $20 in time. So you get to pay less in a subscription but are forced to buy games for $60 each thus your not saving anything if you like mario, zelda, donkey kong and other first party games and if you want online pay their yearly fee as well. While other consoles you pay for the entire year one price and just wait to get one of their titles for $20-$30 each or less even.
      Or if your on PC like I am you pay no online fees to play online and you get some games from sony and mostly all of the ones from microsoft. As for nintendo honestly just pirate them. Playing switch or any other nintendo console run much better on PC regardless. So all in all your not saving any money from nintendo games due to the cost of said games unless you have zero interest in mario and all those for some reason. As for other consoles buy older games that are cheap and play those and when you notice soon the new ones will be on sale too. Nintendo will jack up their prices for online again like they've already done. They are taking it slow because of the money they make from the $60 remakes they've been going crazy with just this year alone people are buying, Luigi's mansion, metriod prime, paper mario, donkey kong country returns, and so on. They make money from game sales as a smokescreen so you don't see how they are making money and why they keep online fee's to $20. But they'll want more soon enough. All three companies are taking more money from you. If you do the math nintendo is robbing you the worst. Just play on PC if you can.

    I can nab 1 year and a quarter of Game Pass Ultimate for 150 rn. At a $3 price hike, then 165, so 15 extra a year and a quarter. Sony's Premium PS Plus Tier is $171 a year for me. So Microsoft still comes out cheaper with a better service than Sony even with the price hikes.
    And since I haven't owned a Microsoft or Sony console since the PS3 era for Sony and 2017 for Xbox, I find value in those services at that price on my PC. There's literally no reason these days to even buy a console except a Nintendo console. Even then, you can emulate Nintendo, but I like to stay legal.

    • @nintailedsniper
      @nintailedsniper Před 17 dny +2

      Ahhh yes the PC gamer who thinks they have a point. You would never invest in Sony if you have a pc. So there is no point to what you are talking about. If you had been investing in Sony only then the value in paying for Sonys services would be more beneficial than starting up on anything Microsoft at this time. And if you switched to PC then Steam is your best friend. Steam sales > Gamepass in the long run.

      @nintailedsniper I don't know what you're talking about. I'm sorry.
      Look, I subscribe to both PS Plus Premium and Game Pass Ultimate for PC, so I don't miss out on those great games from both companies. I don't mind waiting for Sony.
      I'm more of a Nintendo gamer, but I grew up with Nintendo, SEGA, PlayStation, and Xbox, and I love them all. But since I have a family these days, I save so much money by buying a decent PC, subscribing to those two services, and buying a new-ish PC every eight to ten years.
      Yes, it would be better if I owned a PS4/PS5 for PS Plus Premium, but considering the cost of everything and per game, I personally find it better value for money to subscribe to their services and play on PC.
      I'm not a console war person. I honestly just want to help other gamers save money in the long term.
      And because Microsoft puts its games on its service on Day 1, I personally think they have the upper hand over Sony's PS Plus Premium and Steam (I use Steam here and there).
      But I'm not going to bash other gamers for their platform of choice. I just want to help people save money in this very expensive hobby, especially for someone like me, a lover of all games, developers, and companies.
