Disclaimer: I found out too late that the unit was transposed up by 5 semitones, so i've played everything 5 notes lower on the keyboard - sorry for the confusion :-)

Use 5pin midi in on the Pro800 to dump them. The presets will be on Bank B, 00 -05
The presets where made with V 1.2.0. They may sound a little different with later firmware versions. - Hudba
Very good. Lots of attention to detail of the original classics. Thumbs up for Mr Fingers Can You Feel It. 😊
Nailed Mr. Fingers.
Dang the depeche mode sounds.. spot on!! love it.
Some great sounds - very well done bro
really good video that emphasizes that every great patch we know from a song has an interesting effect chain behind it. sometimes it was also doubled up and panned L & R for stereo field
Nice work Mr. Noise. Very nice work indeed!
Incredible recreation of a classic mr fingers track👍
i was fighting it but this video has sold me
outstanding. great piece of kit.

Great recreations there. Still waiting for my Pro 800 to arrive.
This is brilliant, the first patch, the killing joke song, wow incredible but such an emotional experience just from listening to it. Brings back memories. Well done
Thanks a lot!
And actually helped me (re)discover this awesome song.
@@tomnoise23 whats the procedure to dumping the midi files from computer to behringer?
Love Like Blood intro (still) gives me the chills ❤
I've always been wondering about those Mr. Fingers chords...thanks! 😍
Note that I‘ve played them in the wrong key on the keyboard . The synth was transposed +5 by accident 😉
@@tomnoise23 Yes, I read that already here. But I don't mind at all since the wrong key doesn't have influence on the actual TYPE of chord(s). But still thanks for letting me know. 🙂
Can you feel it!
Great hearing the Mr Fingers demo, and your videos here on the Pro-800… I’m a beginner with Synths, but I may have to acquire one of these and see if I might be able to get to grips with it.
Great to hear! Thanks!
@@tomnoise23 just made the purchase, been watching a few of your videos. Thank you, they’re incredibly calm and clear, and seem very good for a beginner like me to understand as you calmly decisively discuss each topic, without it feeling like a freight train aimed solely for experts. Thank you.
@@OpticalChaos awesome, thank you! Please note that this video was based on an old firmware version. They released some updates since so some details may be different. Enjoy your new synth!
This video talks about the sonic potential of this sinth!
thanks...nice job
Top 🎉 i love this sounds 👌
dude your a genius!

I wish I was 😀
Love Like Blood sounds shockingly close. Oberheim or not.
sound 1 yeah !
Heck yeah
wow, these sound great. I think Love Like Blood is an OBXA on the original? But your patch for it sounds awesome
Yes I was reading it was an oberheim… in the end it’s also just a few pulsewaves through a 24db vcf.
On "In The Air Tonight", the chords are correct, but on the keyboard, you are playing the keys 5 semitones lower. The first chord is Dm (D-F-A), that's what we hear, but on the video we can see you're using an Am chord (A-C-E) on the keyboard! It means that you tuned the synth 5 semitones higher, for some reasons.
Hey thanks for the heads up. Good spot and very helpful - I found out too late that the transpose function was set to 5 semitones. I simply forgot to set it back before recording 🤦♂ The other parts are in the wrong positions (but correct notes) as well, my bad! I've added it to the description.
Der erste Sound ist sehr schön. Hat was von einem Chor.
Great patches especially the first one. Could you explain a little more about installing them on the Pro-800. Ive just got one and not sure if i need Midi ox software to transfer patches. Cheers.
Hi, you need an app to load and transfer SysEx files to the unit. I’m on a Mac using SysEx Librarian. Midi Ox should work on a pc.
@@tomnoise23 Thanks. :)
Nice! Wasn't it on this channel where there was a excellent Pro-800 preset of the "Sweet Dreams" intro?
Would love to get that preset.
I tried to set each parameter exactly the same as is that video, but it didn't even sound close:/
Thanks! Ah no that was a video with a Roland SH2.
Amazing job !
Could I simply copy the setting from the front panel as shown in the video, or do these sounds also involved some menu settings I can't see ?
Thanks! The panel doesn't reflect the knob values as i made the presets before recording. Bit you can download the presets and dump them to your unit of course. link in description.
@@tomnoise23 Cheers, not actually got my P800 yet, it's on the way, should be here by Friday, but I'll be sure to download your patches !
2:55 my jam ❤
Hi t.noise,
Thanks for sharing your patches.
Question if you will allow:
The SETTINGS + 3 allows you to DUMP the preset.
How do you DUMP a complete BANK without overwriting the others?
Thanks for your help
If I recall correctly, you can only dump the whole memory but not single banks.
@@tomnoise23 Thank you for your reply.
So if I DUMP from B00-B05, I will also overwrite B06 to B99?
@@danyrockjr I think you can’t dump a selection of presets. Can’t tell as I returned the P800
@@tomnoise23 Thank you for these answers.
Good job! (Hint: you're doing some mistakes in the A-Ha lead... check some extra C# that whould be a D instead)... by the way, did you use global transpose? The notes played/sequenced do not match the actual pitch.
Yes exactly you are right. When I was recording, I was slightly confused as I didn’t notice that the Pro-800 was transposed up by five semitones. So I was wondering myself why I had to play different keys as I was used to 😂🤦♂️… then I played by ear and missed that little detail 😂 shit happens…
Is that a vintage Green Hosa MIDI cable? Wish they still made all those colors!
I have no clue what brand it is, but yes, bought it probably over 20 years ago. So it's vintage 😀
Great demo, thanks. Is it possible to use a sustain pedal with it?
Yes. It has a pedal input and receives it as midi control message too.
@@tomnoise23 Thanks!
Amazing, thanks for sharing!
In terms of programming, does the panel reflect the settings!?
Came here to ask the same question.
No it doesn’t.
@@tomnoise23 Patch tutorials would be amazing.
you had me at killing joke and phil is my favorite
Not bad but take on me has more fast attack bell like sound probably mix saw & square with maybe low and high octave on the 2 oscillators.
Excuse my ignorance, but I'm not very expert, in order to insert your patches do I have to buy a Midi to usb adapter cable?
Can't use USB cable connected to pro-800 to PC?
You can try it via USB. At the point when i made the video, the soft thru option was non existent. I didn't test it again, but if you turn soft thru off then it may work.
@@tomnoise23 If I understand correctly, I have to run this tutorial of yours, right?

Sorry, unfortunately I'm a beginner of these methods, I thank you for the help you are giving me
@@tomnoise23 I was able to upload the patches, thanks a lot for your help :)
@2.49 , sounds like the intro synth on Fashion- Move On
Right! I must have heard this song not for decades now, love it
A+ do some more
I think it would be cool if Behringer could release a future firmware which allowed the voice count to be reduced manually. perhaps this is already a feature, but I couldn't find anything on it. obviously most people will want to make use of all eight voices most of the time, but when you're emulating classic 5 and 6 voice polysynths, some of that voice stealing may be desireable and help keep the mix open and a little more sparse.
naaa
@noisemodule This is already implemented. In the settings you`ll find a voice kill option to turn off particular voices, so you can make it anything between 1 and 8 voices.
Any chance you’d share these patches as a download with us, thanks 🙂
The truth is, i wanted to share these presets as a download but it turns out that the dump didn't really work. i can dumb the presets to the computer, but the Pro-800 didn't receive them back in my test. So at this point it's a bit pointless. I will check back with later firmware versions and see if i can get it working.
@victoratanasov6390 I have managed to dump the sounds back using 5 pin midi in. Don't use the USB connection for this then it will work. link in the description
Thank you, really appreciated!
The original In The Air Tonight patch is just a sine pad with virtually no attack.
Thanks for the comment, but a Prophet 5 doesn't have a sine wave (that''s what they where using) and this sound is using zero attack. But the Pro-800 is not a prophet 5 and the envelopes are a bit slow with this firmware version. Probably it could be closer, but that was the best i could come up with in a few minutes. It's fun to mess with the symth and see how close you can get to such simple sounds.
I have to call Doc Brown to throw me back. 🥰
Hello, Marten, Excuse the question, are the patches you're valid only for Mac owners? Can they also be used for Windows users?
They are in sysex format, so you can use it on both plattforms. I guess for windows that would be Midi Ox to send them to the unit. For mac you can use Sysex Librarian. Who's Marten?
@@tomnoise23 Thank you for your kind reply, indeed you are right, while I was writing to you, I had received a message from a user named Marten, so I didn't realize I had the wrong name, sorry, thanks for your reply, congratulations for your videos!
3:40 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ can you feeeel it yeahhhhhhhh.
Suena flaco no?
i hope Behringer bolts a damn keyboard to this thing in a few updated version. It deserves to be more than another rack box floatin around the studio
You got one note pitch wrong with "Take On Me".
Good to know, thanks - should be a D instead of D-flat, missed that one ☺️
The perfect example of how important eq and reverb are for the sound. I can't understand why Behringer already released a nice FX unit for their analog synths. A simple mixer, an EQ, 2 or 3 effects from TC-Electronics, all placed in the standard Eurorack-Case and everybody would buy it.
Hm - Don’t they sell mixers with inbuilt effects already?
@@tomnoise23 Of course but not in that eurorack case like most of their synths, so that would be very useful.
@@Cynshet ah gotcha 👍
I appreciate your efforts but those sounds were actually pretty weak. I know Ah-ha had a lot of layers in their synth sounds but your recreation isn't even close. You also played the most famous Phil Collins songs in history in the wrong key. It's in D minor, not A minor.
I appreciate your comment but if you would read the description, then you would find out the reason why you are hearing the correct key but my playing was 5 semitones low on everything.
i hate the synth..a rare miss for me
