Never thought Jaby would react to Jordan Peterson. We want more!
yeah. I thought I was in a multiverse when I first saw this video on GETJaby
incels be out in full force. Time for Jabby to do a massive purge
It's nice to see him react but better to see someone else who isn't aware of JP that is also female seeing what he actually has to say for the first time rather than having a biased opinon based on what people say about him. I think it says a lot about his critics whom are merely attacking whom they think he is rather than the argument itself.
Absolutely..!
exactly. Jaby is librandu and Dr. Peterson is conservative.
Jordan peterson is someone i watch when im just conflicted about something and there is always a topic he has talked about, I can always vouch for him
He is basically a Human Google Philosophic Translator
@@Torresmo2 the difference is Dr Peterson tells the truth, there is no bias and you aren’t monitored by JP
He was talking to me, it hit home. I have been an agreeable person for too long. I'll start practicing speaking my mind. In a nice way. Wish me good luck.
Yes, there's nothing wrong with being direct, it's the indirect crowd that is sensitive to this(women, children). Remember to also have tact while doing so, good luck!
Good luck mate, u're gonna do good.
🌚
Be direct, be very blunt and say it with conviction, don't mince your words about, don't be nice about it. Simply be direct.
If they take it badly then that's on them not you.
You're only response for how crystal clear you can say what you want to say. You're not responsible for how the other person responds.
@@Martyn_Wolf Not disagreeing. But it kinda goes both ways. Don't be surprised if your blunt speech is met with sensitivity and immediate opposition. I notice a lot of manosphere people get very upset when someone responds to their bluntness in a way they didn't expect.
@@awakenow7147 I am already aware of this, have been for a very long time. What you said is nothing new to me.
Not just the manosphere, people in general can't stomach the truth, yet they bitch when they're lied too and bitch when you tell the truth.
Just a quick correction at the end. When he says 'Openness' and 'Conscientiousness', he's talking about two of the big 4 psychological personality traits each person possesses in varying degrees. They are a high level abstractions of the various underlying mechanisms of a person's psyche and are based on long standing psychological research. The big four are openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness and extraversion.
Openness is a person's willingness to engage with new experiences are information.
Conscientiousness is a person's willingness to diligently work, essentially forgoing immediate gratification and comfort for more long term goals.
Agreeableness and Extraversion are pretty self explanatory.
Big 5*
@@pratiksshinde Oh yh, you're right. I missed neuroticism.
@@santius0 That last one got some poor bastard at Google fired for saying women are typicaly more neurotic than men and Google should adjust their policies and workplace to be more inclusives to he needs of women, if Google is serious on getting more women into their feild. James Damore got screwed.
Consciousness in this sense describes orderliness
Big 5* And the openness you've described is Openness to Experience, JP talked about Openness, which is creativity (among other things.)
Jordan Peterson is one of the most important people to know about, in my opinion. I can't really explain it, but listening to him has made me realize alot of my own innerworkings, and things I specifically need to focus on getting better at. Essentially, he told me why I was mad, and what to be mad at, and more importantly what not to blame.
There are a number of people like JP that just speak sense and provide a knowledgeable and intelligent echo chamber for self reflection.
Alan Watts is another favorite, popular now too. I can't think of any more right now because sleepy brain.
I feel Michael Mann's 2004 movie "Collateral" does a great job of showcasing a literal and mental conflict between an 'agreeable' and a 'disagreeable' person
Agreed funny i was watching tjat movie last Saturday. It had been a few years.
"See, you're a sucker!" im dead
More of Jordan Peterson
Request to you Jaby
We want more
No...OPENNESS is open to new experiences, ideas, concepts, curious, adventurous, and very empathetic, and accommodating...CONSCIENTIOUSNESS is trait orderliness and work-oriented, people who can't just sit around doing nothing....it has nothing to do with 'opening up' emotionally or what you care about for the conscientiousness part respectively..........LOVE IT!! MORE MORE MORE OF JORDAN PETERSON!!!!
Well said.
exactly. this girl unfortunately did not get the two points at all.
Ooh look at us, we know some jargon. The part you missed is that despite not giving a textbook definition they carried the meaning well enough. Give people a break. You can point out a relatively unimportant error without going “NO” like they committed the worst sin ever. You understand the textbook word but clearly not the meaning.
Empathy has to do with emotions. So...
@@Zanroff Empathizing with someone is not the same as being open with your emotions. You can be empathetic to someone's suffering and be closed off about your own emotions.
The fastest i have clicked on video in my life. It feel almost surreal to see a picture of Jordan Peterson on your channel. I have actually taken a course at the UofT with Jordan Peterson and by far one of my highlights on my Uni experience. I listen to Jordan Peterson on a daily basis too!
More of Jordan Peterson reactions please!
Never watched this channel before. Great reactions. The conversation adds to the video a lot. A pair of intelligent people discussing an issue on CZcams is a rare thing.
I did the "understand myself" jordan's test. I got that if there is 100 people in a room, im the most dissagreeable 🤣
18:40 Openness to experiences, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism, or OCEAN is a personality model. It's used to profile people and thus categorize and predict. Openness to new experiences is what it sounds like, willing to try out new stuff. Openness is also in an indicator of intelligence, because intelligent people are also curious. Though extremely high openness is a predictor of substance abuse.
Conscientiousness is basically how organized someone is. You can say someone whose room is messy is low in conscientiousness. It also is about how much planning one does and how calculating someone is with their actions, like people who constantly try to plan out their future to quite some details. Edit: interestingly, conscientiousness shows a negative association with intelligence, though not as strongly as openness does (about -3% and +10% iirc). One theory is because intelligent people don't have to build up this trait because they can just wing it.
All the five has many subdivisions called facets, so this is just a surface level explanation. Nice video!
I've also heard Peterson say Openness is similar to creativity. Or maybe creativity is one aspect of Openness.
So you can imagine a couple where one was extremely creative and the other was not creative at all, might cause a lot of friction.
@@joelbwrites1996 that is definitely a part of it. But being open can even be like taking a new road to go somewhere. The one who is low in openness will not like this at all. Small things like this actually cause more friction over time than being creative or not.
We are living in a society full of young adults who were never told no and you see the results. No wonder so many act like overgrown children especially on the internet
Great fan of Dr. Peterson, he is joy to listen to and an intellectual epitome. Surprised, that even there are Americans who don’t know him.
Your reasonable thinking and Peterson's deep and extraordinarily accurate speech (his tm) is music to my ears. Nice. Subbed.
I am too much agreeable person and i say that to people too and they take advantage of me , he's so accurate on this topic ,i feel all of that
You've more than earned my sub today not only did you understand and accept what he said as true, yall added your own substantial input.
Great reaction and discussion, hope to see more content of this sort :D
Love this reaction. Such a fascinating lecture. I can definitely see where a lack of socialization affected me.
I like such reactions. Please create more of such reactions. That way, we are able to interact with you on a more intellectual level.
Hahaha, intellectual.
I take a lot of learnings from Jordan B. Peterson. Thanks for this reaction..
This man is just perfect
#respect
18:35 the personality trait isn't consciousness it's conscientiousness which includes orderliness and industriousness (f.e. diligence), and openness as a personality trait can mean how accepting or refusing you are towards something new or atypical and it's also the biggest marker for creativity and I think intelligence as well.
Context: Jordan was saying that it might create irreconcilable differences if you and your partner have big differences within these two markers.
we want more on jordan peterson jaby
*OH WOW JABY, YESSS MORE JORDAN PETERSON.*
I am loving it all my fav CZcamsrs watching JP shows how much JP is influenced
there is a whole new generation ppl that has Jordan as guru ... I am one of them
Me who’s messy and introverted listening to Jaby and Steph talk about how irritating messy and introverted people are: 😬😦😞
Surprised that Jaby has arrived here !
Its never too late as they say - welcome to the 'what matters ' club
Yep he confirmed why I'm an introvert. Lol
Been watching your other channel for years and here is the first time I'm commenting on your video, Listen to this man 💯
You should react to more of jordan Peterson
Came back to watch this reaction..! You definitely should "agree" to react more to Jordan Peterson 😂
I’m sure you’ll get a ton of backlash for watching JP. However, I would just like you to know that I appreciate that you’re covering topics across all fields of academia and entertainment. It’s what compels the soul.
exactly. Lefties will get an epileptic attack knowing that other lefties are now watching and listening to JP
I watched a few mins..pretty cool vibe. I like the ska whispering in the background. Keep keepin it real. 👍
This is a great video. I have a feeling some people have a tough time hearing inconvenient truths about human nature.
Openness means how willing you are to accept new and free flowing environments and elements coming into and out of your life and conscientiousness is how structured and placed within your own foundations you seem to be, put simply, the opposite to openness.
I love Jordan Peterson
Love your hair!!!Steph!
I truly enjoy watching people react to Jordan Peterson and see their perspectives. I just have to ask about your YT name. Is it a reference from the movie SuperBad? The "...Get Gabby!" line from Becca? Just curious. Great review, btw.💯🍻
JP's insights seem even more interesting when Jaby reacts to them..! Would be great to see more of it.
So accurate video about agreeable person " people pleasure"
Yeah. Jordan Peterson and also a centrist but slightly leans toward the right just like Jaby who's also a centrist but leans slightly to the left. Glad to see Jaby finally reacting to him as this was something I thought should've happened awhile ago
YES! Please do more of this!
more jordan peterson videos please.....
Anti SIMP PSA ft Jordan Peterson
Finally Jordan Peterson video.
Openness is honesty about your own positions. Conscientiousness is taking into account others' positions.
More of these please
please react to more of Jordan Peterson
Jaby , appreciate your colour correction man. 👏👏
Dr Jordan Peterson is a clinical psychologist for decades. Unlike other academics that simply read theories, Dr Peterson talks from actual cases with real people. Example. Many people on the left call him a transphobe, but if you look into his past, he helped many transpeople in his practice that have gone on record to say he is NOT a trasnphobe. He just doesn't like authoritarianism, and that includes things like forcing people to use pronouns or be fines/jailed/lose your kids for not using pronouns due to personal and religious reasons. I met Dr Peterson in person, and after this lecture, I did a meet and greet with him. Unlike other meet and greets with other authors who changes their personalities based on who is watching. Dr Peterson actually stopped what he was doing and gave me his full attention as I told him my cultural identity issues that were driving me to suicidal thoughts. He sat with me for 30 minutes and gave me some great advice . No selling. No guru cop out one liners. Just a person listening and showing actual care as a individual. That was 5 years ago in Vancouver. He put me on a path where I am in a much happier and confident place in my life and rarely have those dark thoughts I used to have.
That's cool. I would've liked to meet him in person. So many ppl out there trying to tell you to hate, while Peterson just tells you how to straighten out your life. It's just disgusting how people have demonized him for doing something so basic.
To be specific, it was Bill C16, that forced people, through the legal system, to use specific pronouns on specific people.
Man this hit hard!
High in openness is to do with creativity:)
You should have an interview with Jordan Peterson!
I wanna smash 10000 likes for reacting to this
More of Jordan Peterson reactions please.
Came across it at the perfect time. Sometimes these CZcams suggestions just amaze me.
Thanks!
A key phrase I have thought myself is "you are allowed to be selfish".
Jordan Peterson made me a much better person. Really like that all his stuff is the result of evidence based scientific research. Really enjoyed his interviews with SEAL Jocko Willink and my fav is when he was interviewed by Cathy Newman for UK Channel 4 news.
All of a sudden everyone is listening to jordan Peterson....how great
My guy almost said it. 😬😬 it's alright jaby happens to the best of us.
Openness, in a nutshell, is creativity.
Conscientiousness = Industriousness and Orderliness
Great analysis.
You can use Myers-Briggs model (MBTI) as a frame of reference. Openness would be equivalent to intuition (high in openness) vs sensing (low in openness). Conscientiousness would be equivalent to Judging (high in conscientiousness) vs Perceiving (low in conscientiousness).
I am an indian who is a big fan of jordon peterson and i have his book 12 rules for life. it's one of the greatest book i have ever read. please react on gender pay gap video of jordon peterson.
I'll check it out
Thanks

He did a podcast recently about why women go for bad boys and the evolutionary psychology of it.
Jordan Peterson 🔥
I love JP! Nice vid y'all. First time watching this cast. Only came across it bc it was featuring Dr P. Cool folks and the chick is SOOO pretty! Keepin' an eye on this bunch. Stay good/cool 💪✊👊💪
Please make more Jordan Peterson reactions
LOL, I love her!!
Not a Jordan Peterson fan, but i can admit when the man makes some universal points.
Than why are you not JP fan?
This was good , we need more videos like these jaby
More with Steph and Jordan
I disagree with this video because my mom my sister don't agree with soo much things i do 🤣
This plays right into Hegel's master-slave dialectic. The one who fears death from conflict more than they fear loss of their dominant identity becomes the slave
I remember the last time I asked my mother what she wanted to eat I was going to pick up something. She kept saying, I'll eat whatever you guys want to eat.
I stood there, "Mom I want to do something nice for you, and I do not want to mess up the kitchen doing it. Is there anything you would like to eat?"
Her- "Wherever you want to get food from."
Me- "Mom, you are not helping. I am trying to do something nice for you, but you won't tell me what I need to know to do the nice thing."
Her - "That's nice dear. I am fine with whatever."
I literally had to leave the room, before my top blew.
well for some mothers, their children's choice is their choice.
@@DrTiwade This was just a few months ago. I was having dinner with my parents and I wanted to give her the night off from cooking. Yet I could not get her to make up her mind.
I think his lectures may be the thing he's best at. He was made to do that, it seems. He covers a whole host of subjects in a way that is interesting, has some depth, yet is still digestible for most folks.
He also has very intellectual discussions where it's very difficult, at times, to figure out what the heck he is saying, but usually those are well worth watching, too.
He has his flaws, too, but he will admit to them.
Dr. Peterson has so much insight and intelligence concerning the human condition that it amazes me how badly he’s vilified.
Having leaned to the left for most of my life and now leaning right I have noticed that, in general, conservatives debate more and give more space for cotradiction than the left. I always see that the left uses much more ridiculing, ignoring issues, labeling people and so on than the right. And this lack of thinking "I'm right, but let's really listen to them so that we can break their arguments" is one of the many reasons I tend to the right to a certain degree and absolutely will probably never ever ever support the left again in politics unless this scenario changes in the future.
Do you want to not hear arguments? Just listen to Biden and Kamala Harris. She will laugh and change the topic to feelings.
@Randall V You said everything. I agree.
I think it boils down to who you watch to be honest. You're always going to find idiots on both sides let's be completely real lol
@@creativeartivity That's why I said "much more... than" because it is never absolute. But the left does not usually base their thoughts on statistics, or meticulous historical analysis, it's much more on personal experiences, feelings, generalizations, and opinions both in the US and my country, Brazil. There is a clear pattern in the kind of arguments each group uses. And I'm not talking about any common person on the street. I'm talking about the so-called "professors" and specialists, especially from the left who use arguments with no scientific method, but with lots of feelings and "you don't know what it is to be...".
On the right, the common idiot is the aggressive type, but even they like numbers and statistics except for the conspiracy theorists. The left prefers feelings and "you can't talk about that because you don't have this or that characteristic". Shutting people down is the specialty of the modern left and I have heard sooooo often "I don't care about statistics", and "there you go with numbers again..." The old left was not as evil or at least not as explicitly manipulative.
@@ESJonas I feel like they are much more people than you may have witnessed, both on the right and left. I just wouldn't go around making generalized statements about either side like that unless you're making it clear it's anecdotal
I do prefer the right. I tend to be more or less libertarian in regards to how I conduct myself, although at the end of the day, I'm a moderate.
But yes. I've noticed the same thing about leftists. Its very very difficult to talk calmly with them. I've tried so many times to be calm and polite, but they almost always get emotional. They almost see you as "evil" if you don't agree with them. They tend to be outright passive-aggressive bullies much of the time. And they feel justified in doing so. Little is more dangerous than an ideology that justifies bad behavior. This just my experience. And I have met plenty of old-school liberals who are not like this. Its mainly the modernized radical ones.
Im a sort of center right libertarian, and i listen all left stuff, that confirms to me every time that im not a left person, emotionally i think a little bit, pragmatically and scientifically not leftist at all.
FINALLY JORDAN PETERSON
so glad u reacted to him, please keep it coming
JP is the voice of Reason .. and Wisdom . Listen ..
Openness is open to more ideas
People high on opennes are more open to new ideas/changes-more liberal/more creative and likely to change their surroundings
People low on opennes are less open to new ideas - traditional/grounded/less inclined to change their surroundings
Jaby x Jordan Peterson ❤
I had a very good childhood where it was always easy to make friends, but i also always had a ton of difficulty talking to adults. It made me a strange mix of being disagreeable, overall, towards my peers, and very agreeable towards adults. I’d like to hear his thoughts as to why.
I agree about making friends with different perspectives. They help me learn. It's what makes me irritated with youtube. It doesn't give me a mix of political viewpoints. It throws my beliefs at me at more and more extreme degrees. I have to dig deep on the internet to find opposing viewpoints so I can get a more rounded understanding of the political landscape.
React more on jordan peterson
A view from Mizoram , NORTHEAST INDIA... .. Please do a reaction about our region (NE India)..
Openness to experience and Conscientiousness refer to two of the (5) Domains of personality according to DSM-5 (which is the bible of psychology basically) the other 3 are Extroversion, Agreeableness & Neuroticism (the acronym OCEAN might help remembering that).
JP and Ben Shapiro are gems of modern time. I heard JP had a sad history with his daughter, that motivated him so much that he's given his life to help people learn and live a peaceful, simple and happy life.
The more reactions i see of Jordan Peterson, the more my mind gets blown away.! The guy is a genius
React to Kathy Neuman interview of Jordan peterson that was on the topic of equality.
Love JP
The day has come when I am watching a Jaby Koay reaction to Jordan B. Peterson. Yayyyy!!!
