  • Just finished up rebuilding a Cyma MP5-SD6 from spare parts. It is mostly Cyma. I kept it as stock as possible. In their stock form, when tuned, they are extremely solid guns. Enjoy!

    Just got mine from Taiwan gun. I'm UK based however. It's the high speed variant with a rof of 25. Swapped out the stock on mine to fixed one. Great piece of kit.

    I have one that I ordered like 8 years ago or more. Just started getting back into airsoft. And ordered the black suppressor with no ugly orange tip and a new rubber hand guard. It’s this same gun

    Classic army still makes them. You just need to order from overseas.

    Love me an MP5. I did find a dealer for all metal in Hong Kong. Price is reasonable. I am worried about ordering one due to their disclaimer about customs. I know the U.S. is not as stricked as other countries but still makes me hesitant on by from overseas. The Cyma seemed to be wildly popular, I don't understand why it so hard toget.

    I'm having a very hard time finding a replacement hallow can suppressor that I can add foam and a tracer unit or even a tracer unit, because of the butterfly lug. can you recommend any thing?

    Hi! I just recently discovered your channel but I'm liking it a lot, you actually convinced me to look into an MP5 for my first AEG (I actually just needed a little nudge, I love this gun!). Since my budget is pretty tight I was looking at the JG 070 or the Cyma 027. You reviewed the JG quite some time ago, but I can't find any info on the Cyma. Since you are the grandmaster of MP5s, which one would you suggest?
    Thank you in advance for everything!

      there are only a few mp5s available in the US currently, quite a few more outside. i'd recommend looking into the elite force mp5s if you're in the US. the sd6 is oemed by cyma, so decent gun for the money.

    Hey, as CZcams has removed direct message capabilities I only have the comments or e-mail to go to and comments seem a bit more convenient. Did you have any thoughts or updates on the Tippmann M4? Not the new elecro-pneumatic model but the HPA/CO2 driven blowback version. I'm considering buying one as my first airsoft rifle. I'm ex-army (not a doorkicker or anything) and I want something that I can mechanically work on and that runs like a tank.

    Hey! Big fan of the videos, been watching for a long time.
    I have G&G MP5 SD6 with the full stock, and Ive been wanting to switch to the collapsible version like your Cyma. Any ideas on which might work??

    • @ASTKilo23
      @ASTKilo23  Před 5 lety

      the g&g mp5s have the same dimensions as the cymas, roughly. i'd try and find a g&g sliding stock to match the quality of the rest of the gun. they're actually easier to find than the correct cyma stocks. i believe evike has them, but they may be out of stock currently.

  • @PartNinja
    @PartNinja Před 5 lety

    CA still make MP5s. They just can't import/sell them here because of licensing. Ive ordered various parts for my MPSD with the SEF lower and slither stock from their overseas store. I think you can order the complete guns too.

    Hi! Thanks for this video. Do you know who makes gas versions of these guns (with metal externals)?

    • @ASTKilo23
      @ASTKilo23  Před 5 lety

      they do make gas versions, but to my knowledge they are out of production. some china sites still have them, but i would not trust them to ship or be imported and not seized by customers. they also tend to be very expensive and have few replacement or upgrade parts, if any.

    • @ASTKilo23
      @ASTKilo23  Před rokem

      The plastic cyma series, maybe with some modification. If you mean the CA B&T series, likely no, but their first gen tm clones will (on the plastic series). The cyma metal AEGs are completely incompatible.

    Why besides VFC, +ASTKilo23? You don't like them or you meant for variety (models and price tag)?

    • @ASTKilo23
      @ASTKilo23  Před 5 lety +1

      i worked on one recently for a client, or tried to at least. he had had it for only a few months before several of the burst fire parts broke. vfc does not offer replacement and we could not get a hold of them. his gun was effectively dead. they are no compatible with a drop-in v2 gearbox. FAR too many proprietary parts.

    • @ema1671
      @ema1671 Před 5 lety

      @@ASTKilo23 With some work you can get a v2 gate titan in there and totally bypass the mechanical burst parts, also SRC makes a flattop v2 that you can squeeze in there if you want to replace the gearbox and fire selector parts but still want space up top for a battery.
