That feeling of wanting to jump off high places is so common it actually has a name, it's called the call of the void and can also manifest in wanting to walk onto busy roads, drive your car into walls and several other things that are very not good for you. I think the running theory is that it's your brain going "Remember, doing this thing will hurt you, don't do this thing right here!"
