- Happy Independence Day everyone! In celebration, I'm featuring my first fully-completed settlement video with a fireworks show at the end. I call this work of art "The Bridge Bunker" and it's an example of what you can do with the Finch Farm location and the Wasteland Workshop DLC. Hope you enjoy, and please share on Reddit too!
Note 1: I apologize in advance if the movements through the base seem jerky. That's just the way things naturally move on a console controller. I'll get some more practice at fluid movement before the next settlement video.
Note 2: If I don't answer a lot of questions in the comment section for this video, it's because I'll be saving them up for the upcoming BTS video. So stay tuned for that!

Very impressive, Skooled Zone. I bet it takes a lot of time and patience to make something as incredible as that. I'm not lying when I say this. I think you're settlement build looks a million times better than the settlement builds with the mods. I only suggest you keep the chem booth further away from Cait. We wouldn't want her to get addicted again.

This is what I like about your videos: I don't use mods, either. Been playing video games since 1981 (I'm 43), I'm a bit old school; back then it was about cheating 'cause it was more difficult to cheat; today it's easy to cheat so it's more difficult not to. I like a challenge. Also building/fixing things in games (or out of it) isn't my strong suit so it's even more of a challenge. Now, I'll never get to a magnitude of building like this but I still learn a lot, and that's enough for me.
Love your videos. You're so detailed and genuinely excited about building in this game. Great job and keep them coming.

Very nicely done! I had built a base up there as well using concrete to fill in the holes, but this is quite another level of awesome, and really not that overly complex, just a good use of space and materials. I've got over 600 hours in game, mostly in settlement building, but this definitely inspired me to get back into Fallout and make something like this. Great job on all your Skooled vids. Really shows what this game is capable of with some (ok, a lot of) patience, and you do a great job presenting and explaining things. I have learned quite a bit from your vids and have been passing it down to my kid to see what she can come up with.

Very well done! I'd be interested to know how you so meticulously managed to place all that "junk". I tried the umbrella in the umbrella stand too, but it just went halfway through the floor or turned ascew. The pillows, the smoking cigar ...etc??? And how does it not get knocked over by the settlers? I play on Xbox One too and this just baffled me (though I'm still fairly new to this fallout installment and still have tons to discover).

Amazing. How do you keep things from falling through the mesh when you return to a settlement?
They still fall through because of the stupid load order that Bethesda programmed (small first and then big items). If they had done the reverse then it wouldn't be an issue. However, check out Tip #14 of this video: czcams.com/video/D76HR039mDI/video.html

That was my main settlement and it looks (on the bridge) like that, only a dozen stories up. (Super massive. 200+ hours build. 1/3rd of the way finished. I did have a settlement wall mod and used glitches like mad to keep building.)

Skooled Zone i like your fallout 4 videos. in the glitch (sky diving) video i found the car motor i think it was and i dont know how to get it out of the river. also nice settle ment. also one question what level or rank do you have to be to get trading post.

Glad you're enjoying the content man. To get the motor out of the river, I just selected it to pick it up and carried it very slowly over to the Red Rocket. But you don't even need to get it out of the river to try the height experiment. As for trading posts, I think you just need two ranks of Local Leader, unless you're talking about the caravan post. For that you need to do some missions in Bunker Hill. Start by taking to Deb.
Great tour. How did you get garden gnomes? How do you get stuff to go in the display cases? Why do you bother laying all those items? In my games I always return to find it all over the floor. Am I just unlucky? Love the half circle balcony, not a fan of floating ceilings, I would of had a disco room and pool room as apposed to mixing them. Lol. I would love to show my build here. I've built a building that morphs into the bridge as you walk up to the top floor. Erm... Yeah how the f do those electrical doors work. Oh and how much have you added to this with new DLC.?
Scott Sefton After getting message about stuff placed ended up on ground and floor, it seems that fast travel there prevent it but walking there will make it fall through. I can't even place candles on steel tables in Egret Tours.

how do you get your settlers to go up to and stay at the top of the finch farm bridge? my settlers sometimes do now after replacing the vanilla wood stairs with the concrete ones. However they only go up there temporarily.
also, do the individual items you have placed around the building stay in place after saving and or fast traveling to and from the settlement over time? or do you have to put them back in place here and there?
Hey piratesprayer, so to your first question, the easiest way to get settlers to go up to higher levels is to assign them to jobs up there. This topic is something I'm actually going to cover in my new No Mods Shop Class: bit.ly/NoModsShopClass ...As for the items placed around, yes they do unfortunately fall off shelves and vanish. But I do have some tips about that too in an upcoming video, so stay tuned! ;-)

Yes, the rails got built into the concrete walls (or visa-versa). The concrete section is really good about snapping.
