That is the 15 AMP fuse for the ACG or alternative current generator which controls the circuit for the immobilizer security system, if I am not mistaken. Its very common on Hondas. If you have more than one key and the others work, then your problem was that particular key whose battery was dead or chip inside defective. If none of your keys work, then check the immobilizer system.

My car didn't start on Friday night, but Internet showed me this video. The fuse internals looked good but the connector tongs looked like electric arcs had been jumping across a bad connection. I switched to the spare fuse, placed and removed 5 times to try to clear any corrosion away, and my car started.
You got me home for the weekend! Thank you!!!

Tenisha Smith Hey thanks for the feedback Tenisha, we haven’t had a 04 come in the shop with the green key light issue yet!! However there’s only one way to find out!! Have a mechanic locate and check for a blown fuse, it would be a great start, sometimes it’s more invasive and you’ll need them to plug in a code reader if it’s something els!! This is only a cheap quick fix if your lucky enough to have the same fuse blown!! You can find those fuses for a few bucks at any department store!! Thanks again and Good Luck with your repair!! I have a 01 Accord ex and if my green light doesn't turn on my car won't turn over but it would after a couple of tries. I'm also having a problem with it cutting off when I'm stopped at a red light with my foot on the brake pedal. Also all of my dash lights flicker on then flicker off when I coast and a lot more when I hit a bump or pull on to a high curb and that will really make the car cut off. I know it's a lot but I put too much money into it for me to throw it away. Any help thanks

Hey Amanda Carruthers, Thank You for the feed back. The fuse we pulled out is the “ACG S” It’s a 15amp fuse.
And it’s the top one, on the bottom 2nd row. I’m about 90% sure it’s the same fuse just not sure if it’s the same location on your 2011 Honda Pilot! however just go back to the basics and check all your fuses making sure none are blown!! If you need help visit your Local Shop and have s Mechanic check that fuse! Should cost no more than $5-$10 bucks for them to check it for you if not free.
Also remember to change the batteries to your “clickers (which lock/unlock your doors) if you have them”
Also Worst case scenario you might have to to bring your keys to a Honda Dealership to re program the chip in the keys.

Hi I just replaced my engine in my 07 Honda Civic and since doing so the car will crank and then after a couple of seconds shut itself back down again. It’s flashing a green key leading me to believe that it has something to do with the immobilizer unit or perhaps the ECU. Please can you give me some advice on how to bypass the immobilizer possibly, or anything else that will allow me to be able to crank my car without it shutting itself down seconds after. Everything is in working order and I’m using the same key that I used prior to swapping the motor. Oh and I’ve check all the fuses and relays. The all seem to be in working order.

We haven’t had a 2002 Civic come in with a Flashing Green Light issue yet. However there’s only one way to find out if changing the fuse on you car will work, and that’s for you to try it!!
Also just Incase the fuse change,.. does not fix your issue then I’ll post a couple links down below.
      but FIRST TRY THIS!!
Remember start with the basics, check for relays too. Loose or no ground, a dead battery cell, or Fried alternator, the ground to Alternator. Also if you have a code reader. Attach one and check for any new codes that can lead you towards what is going on!
Also here are a couple ideas, you may have or haven’t tried them yet but, Move on to your Key & Clickers
-Change the batteries to the Clicker or Clickers (if you have a keyless entry)
-Safely Unplug your car battery for 30-45 minutes, which creates a “Hard Reset” for your whole electrical system. And see if it works.
-Check to see if your kill switch/alarm disabler or theft alarm silencer is tripped, you may just have to simply reset it. You can try it on your own if your familiar with your security systems.
-When pressing your clicker if you hear it trying to engage but nothing happens, then that’s a mechanical issue.
-Lastly if all fails try checking out these links I added below.
-Worst Case scenario, you will simply just have to go to the car dealership and have them reprogram your key or clickers

Jesus Sanchez Hi Jesus yes There are other things you still can do, for your 2006 Acura issue
I’m going to Assume the following because I don’t have access to you car so I can diagnose your vehicle.
      So Start with the basics:
-If you have a Keyless/Alarm System, then Change the batteries to the Clicker or Clickers.
-If you have an Keyless Alarm system, then have your alarm system checked to see if your kill switch/alarm disabler or theft alarm silencer is tripped?? Which is typical located under the Driver Side dashboard.
-If you DON’T have a Keyless/Alarm system, then bring your Key and/or Keys to your closest Dealership to reprogram your chip.
-You can have someone familiar with mechanics, or a Mechanic, Safely Unplug your car battery for 30-45 minutes, of which creates a “Hard Reset” for your whole electrical system. And see if it works.
-Lastly if all fails try checking out these links I added below. Good Luck, let us know how it goes for you!?!

Just Me, Thanks for your FeedBack
Unfortunately because I don’t have your 2005 Acura RSX Type S in our shop, To fully diagnose it; I could only suggest a few things.
You can bring your Acura to your local mechanic shop and have them plug in a Code Reader to see if any faulty codes are present, thus leading you in the right direction, or safely trying the following at your own risk.
      Remember start with the basics;
If the ACG Fuse on my blog isn’t the issue, also check for relays too, not just fuses.
Also if you have your own code reader. Attach one and check for any new codes that can lead you towards what is going on! (Code readers can be easily purchased on Amazon)
      - a Autel for $20-$40 bucks.
      Continued:
Also here are a couple ideas, you may have or haven’t tried yet but, Move on to your Key & Clickers
(DON’T FORGET TO TRY ALL THE KEYS RELATED TO THE VEHICLE -regarding their chips, batteries and or having them reprogrammed)
-Change the batteries to the Clicker or Clickers (if you have a keyless entry)
      (HARD computer RE-SET)
-Safely Unplug your car battery for 30-45 minutes, which creates a “Hard Reset” for your whole electrical system. And see if it works.
-Check to see if your kill switch/alarm disabler or theft alarm silencer is tripped, or glitching; you may just have to simply reset it. You can try it on your own if your familiar with your security systems.
-“When your vehicle key/key fob/chipped-key is present in the vehicle or in the ignition switch”, -and you get a green flashing key.
-Whether its consistently flashing or periodically flashing or once in a while and your vehicle starts, runs and rice fine. This could potentially be 1 or more keys need to be reprogrammed in some cases. (Keep in mind this without a mechanic being able to do the diagnostic test(s)
-Lastly if all fails try checking out these links I added below.
-Worst Case scenario, you will simply just have to go to the car dealership and have them reprogram your key or clickers

Ok, so to me it sounds like you have a faulty Ground on your STARTER & your ALTERNATOR has seen much better days.

2003 honda accord lx lost chip but have key what to do

    • @CodesandCoffee
      @CodesandCoffee  Před rokem

Hi Alyssa Basquez, thank you for your feedback. Keep in mind, starting your car with a Chipless key can be nearly impossible. However, In some rare cases it can be done - cars are quirky.
If you have a Key to your 2003 Honda Accord LX, however don’t have the Chip; you can go directly to the Honda dealership and have them quickly program a key with a chip or a chip to your key. Other wise, the following can also be tried.
Go back to basics and safely check all your fuses, make sure none are blown!
If you need help, visit your local mechanic shop and have a mechanic check em for you. It shouldn't cost more than $20-$30 to have it checked for you! If not, it's free.
When you check the fuses you should look for a small crack between both connectors on the fuse, if you have a crack then it is no good! Also keep in mind -Trying to start a car with a chipless key, can be a up hill battle and a definite failure. especially if you have a fuse blown.
You can also safely disconnect your car battery for about 45 minutes. Which creates a "hard reset" of your car, which also fixed some issues, that can keep your car from requiring a chip, far fetched however all Hondas are quirky. (If all you can find is your back up -Chipless- key)
Also remember to change the batteries in your "clickers (that lock/unlock your doors) if you have them". If a kill switch is on because of a engaged anti theft system is armed. Your car will never start chip or no chip.
Again, in the worst case scenario, you may need to take your key to a Honda dealer so they can program a chip to your key or a key with a chip for backup. Costs can range from $75 -$150. And $225 is not out of the norm in some rare / cases. Always have a back up chipped key and a backup for the backup. (Chipless keys are only used for unlocking your trunk or car door) however it can start a car if a chipped key or spare key fob is near by.
Thanks again and please let me know the success with your 2003 Honda Accord. Good luck and if my Channel helped you, please drop a LIKE and SUBB 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

To answer your question, That actual Reason that HONDA PILOTS’ FUSE’s KEEP BLOWING is UNKNOWN. To the Consumer.
Unfortunately my opinion would be it’s actually a Manufactured defect/issue and needs a Honda Recall to finally fix the issue. Once and for all, as if effects many people differently.

Unfortunately because I don’t have your 2004 Honda Accord in our shop, To fully diagnose it; I could only suggest a few things.
You can bring your accord to your local mechanic shop and have them plug in a Code Reader to see if any faulty codes are present, thus leading you in a the right direction, or safely trying the following at your own risk.
      Remember start with the basics;
If the ACG Fuse on my blog isn’t the issue, also check for relays too.
Loose or no ground, a dead battery cell, or Fried alternator, the ground to Alternator. Also if you have your own code reader. Attach one and check for any new codes that can lead you towards what is going on! (Code readers can be easily purchased on Amazon) a Autel for $20-$40 bucks.
      Continued:
Also here are a couple ideas, you may have or haven’t tried them yet but, Move on to your Key & Clickers
Down below I’m leaving you a couple links to check out, the guy is good, check out of there videos on his channel just Incase!

Hi Patrick Singh, thanks for your feedback. On your 2005 Acura RL

I’m going to Assume the following because I don’t have access to your car; so I can properly diagnose your car.
So Always Start with the basics:
-If you have a Keyless/Alarm System, then Change the batteries to the Clicker or Clickers.
-If you have an Keyless Alarm system, then have your alarm system checked to see if your kill switch/alarm disabler or theft alarm silencer is tripped?? Which is typical located under the Driver Side dashboard.
-If you DON’T have a Keyless/Alarm system, then bring your Key and/or Keys to your closest Dealership to reprogram your chip.

Hi Fahed Yes There definitely is a CHEAT DEALERSHIP TRICK however it’s a 50:50 shot it will work. And it might not.
      Safely unplug/disconnect battery.
      Insert key into ignition
Wait at least 30 minutes (Hard Rest)
With key still in ignition, safely reconnect battery.
And then turn key and start.
What’s the point. ( while unplugging the battery for 30 minutes you’re creating a hard reset of everything including computer. After reconnecting battery with key in ignition, the car should then realized and recognize that the key belongs to the vehicle.
Good Luck. If it works please let me know, thumbs up 👍🏻 & Subscribe

I had just drove the car killed it for approximately 30 mins when I went to pick my children up from the bus stop I killed my car and it hasn't started since. It shows a red P and a green D on the dash but also a blinking key. Two mechanics have looked at it. One says its fine the computer shows nothing wrong and the other says starter. However, in 2019 my main key with remote to the car was stolen leaving me to get a plain black one. I really can't financially afford to take wild guesses on such big things like a starter and I don't feel as if that is the problem... I was hoping to try a few of the easy things first and pray that those are possibly the fix before trying the starter. Affording a mechanic right now doesn't look too good. Any suggestions?

      @CodesandCoffee  Před 2 lety

There’s always more than 1 way to get a Job Done, however
It’s both 110% cheaper & easier, (when getting a new or replacement ignition switch); to just have the new key come with it. For the most part the key is also already programmed to the switch.
You can go either way. Calling a lock smith to come to you and have a key cut for your original or current switch can get costly. Because don’t forget you’ll have to bring the freshly cut key to the dealership to get programmed; if your lock smith don’t carry a key / key fob programmer.
If you’re savvy, you can take apart your ignition switch and bring it to the lock smith as well, however step 2 of bringing the newly cut key to the dealership, to get programmed still stands, if no programmer on site.
Last and finally the most expensive ( if you don’t have a AAA membership -for towing) you can tow the whole car to a key cutting, re-programming shop.
Footnote: I rarely ever hear a locksmith, key cutting and re- programming shop (mechanically disassemble your steering wheeling column, to get to your ignition switch. if they do, I’m assuming it will also require another charge and liability. “Them not being mechanics”
At the tail end, you will never receive a OEM Key, for any of these processes, Unless you have it all don’t at the Dealership of your vehicles’ make. However it can be done at $$$$$$
With that said your newly cut and programmed key should work just fine if you go through a reputable shop like
      EKEYS4CARS on google Boston based.

      Dollar Store
      Auto Parts Store
      Walmart
      CVS
      Walgreens
      Target
      Gas Satation
      Amazon.com
If you need help visit your Local Shop and have s Mechanic locate that fuse!
Should cost no more than $5-$10 bucks for them to check it for you if not free.
Then you can change it. If there’s a crack between both connectors, than it’s no good!
You can also Safely Unplug your Pilots battery for about 45 minutes. Which creates a “Hard Reset” to your car, that also fixed some problems.
Also remember to change the batteries to your “clickers (which lock/unlock your doors) if you have them”
Also Worst case scenario you might have to to bring your keys to a Honda Dealership to re program the chip in the keys. Sometimes that can be the main problem.

Also it’s tricky to pinpoint what’s failing or faulty in your 02 civic, causing this problem without bring it to our shop for further diagnoses.. Try bringing your car to a mechanic shop so they can attach a Car Code Reader, if there’s a issue then a specific code can be found by the reader which can get you in the right direction.

Where Is The Fuse Located For A 2003 Honda Civic Lx

    • @CodesandCoffee
      @CodesandCoffee  Před 3 lety

Hey Brown Davis Productions 518 Strong, thank you for your FeedBack. The fuse You’re looking for is the ACG (alternating current generator) it’s a 15 amp fuse and it would be located in one of your fuse boxes. Unfortunately I haven’t had 2003 Honda Civic LX in the shop with the same green key issue,..... yet. I’m sure in the future I will eventually, as it’s happening more often these days. The only advice I can give to you, is to check all of your fuse boxes. Which are readily available within your cars hood and both under your steering wheel column and glove box. You can always give a call to your local Honda dealership or repair guy or your owners manual for a quicker location. Thanks Again 👍🏻👍🏻

Fuses are known to blow because of shorts, overloads, electrical faults, faulty grounds, wrong fuse, and so on however for this specific green Key issue, it’s unknown.
All types of speculation at the moment really,.. all I’m doing is a keeping you from paying for a tow truck and save your money with a Quick & Easy Fix, probably not permanent either, but hopeful. however it’s probably just a national part fault which needs a widespread recall, considering My vlog is nearing 100,000 views crazy crazy

    • @CodesandCoffee
      @CodesandCoffee  Před 4 lety

Nevets Works Thanks for the Feedback,. Cars run on electricity as well as gas, and almost all of it runs through fuses. Learn where they are, how to spot a blown fuse, and how to replace them. It takes about five minutes, costs about $1, and it'll save you the hassle of a trip to the repair shop. Causes for a blown fuse; Faulty wiring or defective equipment can cause excessive current flow, resulting in a blown fuse. Defective switches may cause short circuits. ... Other electrical components, such as heating and cooling blower motors, power seats, electric fuel pumps or air conditioner can all cause fuses to blow. and Ultimately Manufacturing Defects, as the same fuses on hundred of thousands of pilots to say the least Are all blowing up across the world. Only Fix is a Manufacture Recall.. which will never happen because it’s more of a burden on the consumer and not a safety on the supplier example (Resulting In Home loss, business loss, collateral loss due to fires caused by the specific fuse(s) or domino effects),.. at least for now. To be continued......

This fob looks like the transponder is attached to the circuit board in the fob, not like some that are built into the housing of the fob , does this make since. I was going to get a new fob and put the old circuit board and key blade in the new fob, this is the only key that they have, and the lock button is broken off the circuit board in the fob, it has the unlock, trunk and panic button still on it but i am not sure they work, cause they never had a battery in it i know, 🙄 i dont understand some people, anyway your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately because I don’t have The Honda Civic in our shop, To fully diagnose it; I could only suggest a few things. Try to focus on one main issue at a time, or you’ll get mixed up, document 📄 each area you worked on so you can rule out basic issues.
About the alternator fuse, you can change it if the alternator is no good but if the alternator is fine changing this fuse will not help. You can only test the alternator once you have started the car and then unplugging the negative plug to see if the car shuts off or not. You can plug in a Code Reader to see if any faulty codes are present, thus leading you in the right direction, or safely trying the following at your own risk.
      Remember start with the basics;
(DON’T FORGET TO TRY ALL THE KEYS (if you find another key, I know you mentioned you only have the one key with the busted clicker) RELATED TO THE VEHICLE -regarding their chips, batteries and or having them reprogrammed)
-Whether its consistently flashing or periodically flashing or once in a while and your vehicle starts, runs and drives fine.
Down below I’m leaving you a couple links to check out, the guy is good, check out of there videos on his channel just Incase!

One Last thing, never try starting the Honda Civic with the wheel turned to the right!, because on some mid 2,000 models that can be a anti theft, kill switch, so try keeping the wheel turned to the left. Tricky I know. Thanks again, Only so much can be done over the Webs -without having the Civic in our shop or your local mechanic shop to diagnose. Iif the vlog helped you out, please Drop us a LIKE & SUBB 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Good Luck and let us know about your success.

THIS VID I WOULD HAVE GIVEN A THUMBS UP. THUMBS DOWN FOR: 1)NOT HAVING GOOD LIGHTING @ FIRST, 2)POOR CAMERA FOCUSING, 3)NO DESCRIPTION OF ITEM THAT FAILED,WHERE ON FUSE BOX DIAGRAM WHAT FUSE IT WAS, ETC. ALWAYS EDIT UR VIDS IF POSSIBLE. UR THUMBS UP MAY INCREASE. MORE DETAILS ARE SOME TIME WORTH THE EXTRA EFFORT. BEST, G E.

Your video is a huge disappointment for you not specifically pointing out and verbally stating exactly which fuse was bad!!!

2000 integra cranks no start green flashing key light checked fuses relays fuel pressure spark and all good. Put key in and turned to on. fuel pump primed but green key still flashing. So I wiggled the key harshly the green light went out and I turned the key all the way... Integra started... I'm writing this because I searched the internet with no solution. So now there is a at least one my experience out there. I hopes this helps somebody.
