I have not been able to get potatoes in containers to do well enough for me. After seeing Tony on "Simplify Gardening" I don't know if its what he adds and soil but he never misses. I am glad that you shown the results, keep showing your test!
Too funny! I was thrilled by my first potato crop. Small potatoes filled up a coffee mug. They were delicious!
You can add some wood and make a screen on that mesh thrn you can shake it makjng it easyier and less sharp
Not bad for a first try but in future the seed potato needs to be planted at the bottom of the bag and each time the stalk grows cover with more soil (leaves and all) so the stalk will become part of the root system and in doing this up the height of the bag you get a long central root for the tubers to grow off all the way up.
I get that many potatoes from one plant, planting in the ground. Plus they are much bigger. Potatoes need space to expand. I feel like any way they’re grown is a lot of work!
next time, try growing one in the grow bag and one in the ground, ore a raised bed. :) Love watching you. Love from Denmark..

I tried out chicken feed bags last year. I used scrap potatoes that were kind of whack, so my yield wasn’t fantastic.
Just found your Channel, thank you and great Wishes from germany, do you have an ideas to provide yourself with Potatos and mealworm in the cold season?
It would have been easier if you put the potatoes in a bowl as you found them rather than pile them up on the sifting screen and have it interfere with your sifting area - just a thought.
