When an ex-mob boss gives better advice than the government

Next video: how an ex mob boss became CEO of Buzz Feed
Unrelated news: horse body found without a head near buzzfeed headquarters. Police still have no clue as to what happened to the horse's head. Next Tom with the weather.
Not that rich!
Right now the position doesn't pay - the CEO is taking no paychecks until this is over.
And how the buzzfeed became a front for the mafia

I'm pretty sure at this point Michael made BuzzFeed an offer they couldn't refuse.

Didya watch his interview with Mike Tyson?

@@davidoftheglen3447 Yeah it was great (you've probably watched it by now). I also really liked Sugar Ray Leonard and Eminem on Tyson's show fairly recently.
But your a nerd
6 months ago, if you told me I’d be getting practical help from an ex mob boss on how to successfully get through quarantine from a worldwide pandemic, I would’ve thrown you in a padded room.
Ppl are saying that like being a mob boss(which he technically was not, but irrelevant) denotes unintelligence or something. In reality it's likely tougher than being a CEO of any fortune 500 company or in his case any VP
Facts lmao
@@stephen8996 they weren't necessarily bringing intelligence into it at all. I interpreted it more as just something unexpected and surprising rather than anything to do with intelligence
Dearth of Doohickey’s he wasn’t a mob boss. He was a Capo in the Colombo Crime Family. Capo’s lead a crew, control rackets and territory, and send kickbacks to either the Underboss or Boss himself. They are very highly ranked and control the outflow of money such as bribes or contracts so not to implicate the Boss.

I wonder if it was 29 months total rather than 29 months straight.
Crazy either way.

Happy you're home
Any book recommendations, please?
@@cheesecakelasagna depends what genre you enjoy reading, but some of my absoulute favorites are:
"Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion" by Gregory Boyle (this book is incredible man. It made me laugh, think deeply, and cry)
"The Hungry Cyclist" by Tom Kevill Davies (a travel memoir about a Englishman who rides a bycicle throughout the Americas searching for the best food)
"Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell (it's a psychology book that explains human behavior and our rational decision making based on experiences and the adaptive unconscious)
There's so many books i love but these are a few that come to mind....

He looks more like a mob boss now than he did when he was young.
The ageing process has been very kind to him.
Bud The shut ur pie hole boy... or i do it for u
Franzese has good genes obviously. His dad recently died and lived to be 103 even after doing half his life in jail. Mike looks about 15 years younger than he is.
He does, he could have been the next boss of the Colombo family but he knew that life was very disposable. Glad he got out.

Michael Franzese : here we go again...
ye i thought exactly the same - dude is in jail now again, poor bastard lol
"We're a lot stronger than we think we are"😊
It’s really amazing how humble this man is when he could have easily been condescending about how whiny we are as a society.

Watch the movie "Old boy" He was quarantined for 15 years.
Great film
And he went insane after that.
Then slept his own daughter
Watch Lord of the Rings Gandalf can do spells
Bad example, dude banged his daughter.
This really puts things into perspective
So true
God bless .. Michael visited my church once. Amazing testimony, awesome how God works.
It must be difficult if you live in an apartment or something like that. Im grateful I have a garden
yeah my apartment is a super tiny efficiency I'm sharing with someone else, and no balcony. And there's really nowhere nearby I'd feel comfortable going for a walk. Plus my allergies are intense. It sucks :/, but I'd rather stay inside now, if it means this is over with quicker and less people get sick.
I am currently in an apartment away from my family. I live in the first floor and the outside is the community pool and track to run. But I didn't want to go outside at all since others are outside. I dont want to get communal spread...
I live in my van so I can change spots anytime I want to.
Every time this dude does an interview, he just gets even cooler.
Great advice. (I'm a therapist.) I was telling my clients the same thing and then I found this a couple of months ago. Thanks for your ideas and motivation!
I never get tired of watching this man. He has become my mentor. Bless you Mike

THANK YOU MR FRANZESE FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT AND GREAT ADVISE! BEST WISHES FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!
Love this guy
This whole thing just shows how people can't enjoy being alone because they feel like they need another people around just to be happy.
Btw, not saying people aren't social creatures. In my opinion you could be using this alone time to get to know yourself. Since the bored people in the comments want to argue.
Humans are social creatures. With that being said most people will go insane without others. This man is a rarity. So it's not that people can't enjoy being alone it's that its biologically not in our nature. Learn facts before your spit
@@houseofmendoza5442 Not in our nature? Funny since I'm very happy being alone and enjoy being alone.. Humans can adapt to anything, either is being alone or not, it's really more about the character of the person, rather than what you claim nature. Not everyone is the same, has exact same priorities in life. Some like company, some don't like anybody.
Ghost it’s literally in our genes not going to argue some people are rarity’s but even within the rarity’s prolonged isolation will eat away at your mind. If I left you on a island alone by your self you would mentally start to deteriorate. Humans thrive off of social interaction you and I are or anyone else are no exception.
@@houseofmendoza5442 Well I really don't thrive off social contact and I really don't like crowds or company much. Like I said some have bigger need of social contact, some have less need of social contact but going insane without contact is only for the weak..

I've heard people talk about their solitary confinement experiences but the way his story resignated and made you think was like you were in his journey and felt every bit of his pain.

You know, I would always see you everywhere on the internet telling your story and I kind of thought "another mafia dude bragging about his story on every outlet he can" but after hearing THIS and me knowing what jail is like(never in solitary) you just gained my ultimate respect FOR LIFE. I just got out of a detox with dudes who did time like you and I told ever single one of them how strong they were for not killing themselves during that, because I know I'm not as strong.
