I had a date with a girl but she ended up ghosting me at the time of the date. So I decided to go to this one bar that had a live band playing. They covered this song. When they were playing it, I was absolutely mesmerized and forgot all about my date. I felt very present in the moment. I didn't shazam the song. I just knew the name of the song had to be Purple Rain just because of how often these words are repeated. I ended up having a great night even being alone. So I come back home and I look up the name of the song and I start playing the song on repeat. It has now become my new favorite song of all time. This song brings me peace, joy, and optimism. I feel chills every time I listen to it. This would never have happen if I let my date ruin my night and I remained at home. Thank you, Sabrina! Thank you Prince for producing this masterpiece! 💜

My mum took a job in a hotel gift shop in Glasgow when she was older, one day, Prince came into the shop and spent 45 minutes with her trying all the aftershaves, perfumes and soaps..she said he was a lovely wee man and an absolute gentleman

2024 and I'm still coming back to this legendary moment in music history.
Prince crying while he's singing is so iconic. He knew then that it was his life altering moment. I went to see Purple Rain with my Mom when I was 16. During this scene everyone in the theater was waving their hands in the air, including my Mom. I looked over at her and her eyes were welled with tears. Like Prince, she's gone now too, so it's a VERY special memory for me. 💜

This was my older brothers favourite song, was 13 at the time. At his funeral on a day it wasn't meant to rain, we let his favourite colour (purple) of Ballons into the air played this song and it rained my brother still with me. I love prince and his legacy forever this song has helped me so much.

My brother, who passed away in 2013 at the age of 16, once told us how underrated Prince was and that Purple Rain was such a masterpiece. So we played it at his funeral and whenever I hear this song, I'm taken back to this time right after we lost him. It's so incredibly sad to me and even now that I'm 19 and it's been so many years, this song makes me (and my mom) cry as soon as we hear the first few seconds of it.

Purple Rain was and still is a masterpiece by Prince I don't know how anyone can not like this song. Prince was very talented and at times treated so unfairly by some in the media especially not understanding the pain he was going through. Sometimes you never know what a person is going through unless you've walked in their shoes. Let the person without sin cast the first stone is something we all need to remind ourselves at times.

Shit there isn't one Damn person on this earth that is perfect nobody n people need stop talking about other people's life cause that's bullshit I've got bunch Boys well i call them my Boys and they are my family by choice not blood but none the less i love each n everyone of them the same and i have n i would do anything for them no matter what it's loyalty things with me i promised them I'd always br here n i will yeah they all got little caught up with drugs but before anyone says shit or shakes their head don't cause nobody knows why and what those Boys been through but i do i know more then anyone n they all at one point lived with me n i tried help n look out for them n those Boys have a big big heart n are sweet n good young men that just never had anyone that really cared n stuck by them n showed them their worth and they always made sure i was ok one would ride his bike or whatever every night after working all day on roofs to see if i needed anything or if i had food n money i would never take nothing from either of them but it felt good to see him have something that was important to him I'd just smile n he would tell his guy friends that came with him that he had better not see any of them come to my house if he isn't there i laughed said Boy he said Na i mean it ! No one has the right to judge or talk about anyone's life because like i say you know my name but not my story! I always find the good in someone n trust this they are all paying for what they did n that was hurting themselves n no one else. N shouldn't be because those Boys have already paid enough in their lives thats for sure and shouldnt have to pay more n should be getting the right help needed most of the time the people talking s*** and running their mouth are the people that are doing the most and have more to hide that's why they talk ! So next time you get ready to open your mouth and talk about someone DON'T JUDGE YOURSELF BECAUSE YOUR NO ONE'S JUDGE N IF WE ARE ALL JUDGE'S THEN WHO BE WILL BE THE JURY! TO SAVE SOME OF THESE BOYS OR WHOEVER THAT NEED TO BE SAVED !
