What to do in Las Vegas? Walk the Las Vegas Strip. But beware: yes, Las Vegas has lots to see, but on some blocks, you'll be bombarded with folks wanting "donations".
WOW! You had me almost in tears at 11:00 when you said "Good Lord, another souvenir shop and you can take more Grand Canyon tours, even by horseback". I must admit that was the most delightful strip tour I have seen and I lived there for over a decade!! Cheers!!
Thanks so much for your comment. Last time I walked that side of the Strip, I found five discount ticket booths, too. Lots of commissions are made on Grand Canyon Tours AND tickets.

Was blown away by my first visit to your wonderful City last November 2013 for the AAPEX ands SEMA shows. Was there 10 days with my son staying at the Vdara and we had a great time and took a trip to the Hoover Dam. Would love to return but it will probably only be a one-off but the memories just dont leave you. Thanks for this re-tour x
I was there just a few days ago, and walked from Excalibur to Caesars Palace. Here's a tip: if you come across a pair of escalators, the one you want to use is probably the broken one.

Alma: My walking tour was not necessarily the "nicest" part of a Las Vegas visit, though I am a new fan of M&M World. Don't miss the casinos on the opposite side of the Las Vegas Boulevard (the wonderful Bellagio fountains must be seen up close); the overhead videos of the Fremont Street Experience downtown are amazing and the entertainment offerings will create memories. Have a great visit!

Thank you for doing this, I haven't been there since 2000. A lot has changed since then. my Dad told me stories of when he drove his Grandfather from Chicago to L.A. in 1956, I would have loved to see it then.

I did the same thing. Walked from Mandalay Bay to the Stratosphere. Started early in morning on a Monday which is the best way to do it as there are less people on the Strip. Stopped by every casino along the way. Had breakfast, lunch & dinner. It was the best time. You never really get to "know" Vegas until you walked the whole Strip.

Nostalgia for me, because I visited Las Vegas in 2012 during a tumultuous time of my life and had a great time with a great friend. We went to see the Kevin Hart show and spent 5 days/4 nights there. Sad that most of the places we enjoyed are now gone :(
I been to Vegas twice and I hardly gamble and I LOVED IT, I would go back as many times as I could. I think there is so much to see and do and it's free. Sure vegas is a tourist attraction which means money is something you need to bring if you want to experience vegas to the fullest, but anyone saying it is boring, PSSSTTT try living in Ontario Canada!

My wife and I been too Las Vegas four times and we love it, will be going there again on April 2014 for another vacation. We love going too Fremont Street for the lights and action plus the gambling, we stayed at the Golden Nugget two years ago and it's a great place to stay at.
We've had several comments sympathetic to the homeless and I'm glad to know that so many people care so much. We have a number of great organizations in Las Vegas that offer to provide shelter and training to veterans, the unemployed and the otherwise disenfranchised. I'm not sure that donning a costume and asking for donations has long-term benefits, and for some tourists, it's disconcerting -- but that's the truth of walking the Strip.

My first visit was three days, no sleep. We were more comfortable with five days and ultimately spent a week here. Depends on your age, your tolerance for late nights and whether you are making sidetrips to the Grand Canyon, etc. If you over 50, I'd recommend five to seven days. Under 50 and energetic, you can even do a weekend! In any case, a good time awaits.

I miss it SO much! I felt right at home. Lol I stayed at THEhotel and I visited the Mandalay Beach any chance I got. It was paradise on Earth. I can't wait to go again!

Great video of The Strip. I will be there in July for the Elvis Festival. I sing & play bass guitar to his songs. I'm the only Elvis Tribute Artist in the world I've seen do this. My dream is to get a gig at one of the casinos. I'm a one-man band. I'm exciting. I will be on The Strip somewhere singing to get myself known. The Elvis Festival will be fun, but the best thing is if a casino boss discovers me & I get a gig playing there. I'd move to Vegas in a heartbeat then. Thanks for your video.

Justin: If you look around, you can find a room in Las Vegas for less than $40 a night (usually during the week) and you can find lots of activities here at no cost: the Bellagio gardens; Big Elvis, etc. Food can also be located at little cost, also. Otherwise: just look at everyone's Las Vegas videos and you'll have a virtual vacation!
You will be able to navigate, that's for sure, but there is construction on both sides of the Flamingo. You'll see the outline of the big Ferris Wheel which should be spectacular. And on the corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard, the improvements to Bill's Gambling Hall are being made as well. Enjoy your visit.

Thanks Kate. A visit to Las Vegas can be quite reasonable. Gambling and high-end restaurants are not required for a good time. On the other hand, big shows and great food are available as well.
the outside bar at Hawaiian market is the best! everytime i go to Vegas this is one of my hang out areas. it's cheap, cheap and they make the drinks strong

I just went to Las Vegas on the 29th of October till 4th of November. We stayed at the Elara. Loved every minute of our vacation.

You are right about the Tropicana smell -- for the older casinos, the musty smell must be overcome...somehow.
Wow what a great video thank you so much for sharing we visited Las Vegas the end of February so I got to see some things that we didn't get to see when we were there watching this video

we spent 7 nites at the Flamingo hotel & thought it was wonderful & at what we thought was a very good price per nite......we will go there again for sure......nice video thx for sharing

Thanks Kate. A visit to Las Vegas can be quite reasonable. Gambling and high-end restaurants are not required for a good time. On the other hand, big shows and great food are available as well.
You should love the Venetian -- lots to see and do there, and I'm told the rooms are quite nice. You can even take a gondola ride!
the outside bar at Hawaiian market is the best! everytime i go to Vegas this is one of my hang out areas. it's cheap, cheap and they make the drinks strong
