- For over a decade, Formula 1’s Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team has set the engineering and the competitive standards for the sport. Team Principal and CEO, Toto Wolff, led the team to consecutive championship wins from 2014 to 2021. Wolff has navigated his team to wins through a massive league acquisition by Liberty Media, new teams joining the league, a growing fanbase, and a U.S. expansion with races in Miami and Las Vegas.

Toto Wolff On Leading The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I appreciate Toto and the attention he's getting from business news and schools alike is an inspiration. Massive respect
Lies again? BMT BMO USD SGD
Massive respect to Toto
I've always appreciated Wolf's approach to managing a team and just being an outright professional. He's kinda my Hero.
Excellent Interview, the reporter was very well prepared and asked some very important and relevant questions.
She was very cringe with Gunther Steiner 🤮
I began investing at the age of 34, primarily utilizing my hard work and dedication. Now at the age of 42, I am delighted to share that my passive income exceeded $100k for the first time in a single month. This advice is truly valuable, so don't hesitate to take action. Remember, it's not about achieving wealth quickly, but rather about building wealth consistently and persistently.
The market is volatile at this time, hence i will suggest you get yourself a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on.
Through closely monitoring the performance of my portfolio, I have witnessed a remarkable growth of $508k in just the past two quarters. This experience has shed light on why experienced traders are able to generate substantial returns even in lesser-known markets. It is safe to say that this bold decision has been one of the most impactful choi
that's impressive!, I could really use the expertise of this advisors , my portfolio has been down bad....who’s your financial advisor or coach, do you mind hooking me up?
I've actually been thinking of reaching a portfolio-adviser, my 401k and stocks been losing everything it's gained since 2019, mind if I looked-up this one coach you use?
The adviser I'm in touch with is *CAROLINA MELINA PHERSON* she works with Merrill, Pierce, Smith incorporated and interviewed on CNBC Television. You can use something else, for me she strategy works hence my result. She provides entry and exit point for the securities I focus on.
Thank you CNBC. Ms Eisen is a formidable talent, we hope to see more of her for the 2024 season.
Competent at reading written questions, ok. Formidable talent, hyperbole.
Congratulations to CNBC for your excellent interview with Toto Wolff, team principal and CEO of Mercedes about the current and future situation of F1 around the world and mainly in the USA, considering its success as a sport and business.!!!
Sara, can you please interview the rest of the team bosses? I’m loving these
She did one with Christian Horner. It was just as good as this one i recommend you watch it.
@@kirklazarus1426 I actually watched that very one before this!
Through Netflix, you’re able to know every person in this field, which is crazy.
Cnbc bringing amazing f1 content lately
The thing is that all the current teams stayed with the sport when it wasn't as profitable as it is today and to have a new team trying to enter it on it's high does seem unfair to them.
A partner such as Toto is a godsend.
This was good,I love F1.
very interesting interview, thank you!
Wolff living his dream....What a great leader.
Massive respect to Toto
Fantastic journalistic work by Ms Eisen.
7:30 The memes from F1 Twitter and Reddit flow back to me when the quote of "imagine not mentioning Nico Rosberg, the man who beat Lewis Hamilton in equal machinery" comes back into my head
lol...Toto inherited the foundation laid by legendary Ross Brawn. Since the last 2 years he has shown his true management skills. He didn't build the Mercedes from ground up to become a race winning mammoth.
"And den, I put a click....wid da syntesiza.............my name is Toto Wolf, but you can call me....."
*NOOOOO MAAAYYYKEL*
Would be more easy to understand if it infographic video
Lol Toto saying that DTS is following the sport, not scripted 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Toto is bae
The power of daily brisk walking works.
Way to go🎉🎉
How many videos will you be making on this for your sponsors, CNBC?
Don't bite the hand that feeds you
“They are very handsome”
“I can’t judge, but if you say that” 😂
7:26 Highlight of the interview 😅
Szacun dla gościa
did he hit that right after?
He looks so good 😍
Yep. And impeccably groomed and fabulously wealthy and smart. And has class. And married Suzy. She got it going on also. I have been a fan of her since before they got hitched, when she was a race car driver. What a couple! All for fun! czcams.com/video/cbtMGtPG2uY/video.html
let Andretti in
You get a clear picture, that F1 is a business, not a sport primarily. Think about that when you root for "your" team or driver.
I close my eyes and I hear Arnold.
Sara eisen is
1) such a great interviewer
2) fking gorgeous.
What success?
Haven't won a single race in last 2 years.
Verstappen has a visible fire within like Hamilton of years ago
He inherited success at Mercedes, he didn't build it from scratch. He was appointed at the right time, that's all. He did not manage to deliver a competitive car over the last two years, he decides which direction the team moves into and he got that completely wrong. So it's always funny when they speak to him about his successes, but it would be more interesting to know how he actually plans on getting back tot the top cause right now he is still miles away from getting there. And he told everyone Mercedes would be back countless times and they haven't so far....so he is not that much of a great manager people want him to be. For that he needs to bring back Mercedes, so far he failed miserably at that.
And what about Horners failure after 2014 to 2021? 🙃🤡
Exactly. Brawn created the ‘Merc success’ not Toto. Most ppl don’t know that…
@@Redlingstein
That’s why Mercedes was so good in 2013 😂
Spot on. There is another interview with Christian Horner who has built the backmarkers team Jaguar/Stewart GP from as good as scratch to the powerhouse RBR today is from day one at the age of 31 yrs.
Arnold however just took over after Ross Brawn and the real goat MSC (not Mick) had done the work…are you listening @ericrossoni?
Horner has gone through harder times (14-20) but never ranted as a headless chicken/psycho as arnold has. Calling your car a sh*tbox and whatever is a middlefinger to your employees at the factory.
Look at what arnold did this weekend at LV to Scuderia denying them to replacing parts free.
I hope arnold never sleeps again...
@@ericrossoni He brought RB back to the top. When Toto does the same, I will have more respect for him. So far he hasn't...
He is so handsome
Why is Lewis so uncomfortable without wearing the helmet and suit?
I have the same problem. 10' tall and bulletproof with the helmet and suit.
Wills and Wheels
F1 bankrolled CNBC for a whole week
Well... Remember the team principle conference after the FP sessions?
Team principal? 😂 I would prefer that be "Head engineer" captain or crew chief
It shocked me very much, wenn he said in an interview that most Mercedes team member have to fly economy. That is very unusual. Are flight tickets a part of the budget limit? I never heard of people who had to fly economy on a work trip. Companies usually get huge discounts on business class tickets, as they book thousands of tickets per year. I am okay with flying economy on a vacation, but not on a work trip.
ALL F1 personnel of all teams fly economy……
@@Redlingstein That is unacceptable. Economy class was just created as an option to fly super uncomfortable in return for a very low price that enabled people to fly that otherwise could not afford it.
Washington DC Circuit
Doors No doors the corners where time is made and lost
Really ??? 2500 employees on the race team WHAT ?????😱😱😱😱😱
They have the biggest team yes. RBR abt 1500 employees
Mercedes builds there own engines and supplies engines for like half the teams in F1, so yeah their is a need for those extra employees.
He had 5 easy years when the car was better and faster and reliable by miles and miles ahead of the rest .as soon as Redbull got close to them he was a bad loser and hasn't done anything since 😢😢
what about other 3 years.
Toto is a great business manager but F1 is a meritocracy, and if he keeps hiring people because of their looks they will keep losing
Great interview, Toto
i respect toto but we are not performing because of him by the fact he left all our best engineers and aero guys go to our rivals without replacing them to save cost
we? this aint football you can say we in football cause ur from madrid or from manchester and football clubs are usually location based but for a team its business. Poaching happens all the time in F1, many went to mercedes also during their early days and when you win too much motivation goes down so human needs new challenge.
Absolute dominance is something that's boring about F1 races. It's too predictable. What's the point of watching when you already know who's going to win?
goes into a psychotic meltdown I HAVE IT!!! I HAVGE IT-A PRINTED OUT!!!
Very good interview with Toto Wolf especially his comments around F1 being an engineering competition and designing a successful fast car is physics! But I disagree about his statement regarding Andretti racing situation, because Haas has not really brought anything around performance to F1 to date. In other motorsports, Andretti has proven to the ability to win in other categories. In recently, Cadlliac has announced their intentions to join F1 with Andretti, which would be a tremendous boost in the states.
Andretti drives in spec car series…not CONSTRUCTORS SERIES like F1. You are delusional thinking Andretti would be more than a backmarker
@@Redlingstein Haas is a backmarker too. But F1 and the teams are looking to expand in the US and that is where Andretti can make a difference.
Imagine the US public when the teams do not allow their hero Andretti to enter the sport. Would it still be profitable when the American public turn their back to F1?
I bet if Horner knows what is talking here.
Horner hears everything through his communication team, don’t worry…
Quizás intentes perfeccionar tu inglés en lugar de preocuparte por Horner 😂😂😂
TOTO WOLF IS HALF POLISH HALF ROMANIAN/ GREAT 👍
Just like the double it costs Americans when U.S. tobacco is building formula 1.
Crop profits and crop insurances profits
Teamchef WOLFF
ÖVP
Lemme be clear, Im not necessarily a big fan of CEOs and billionares in general, but Toto Wolff may be the smartest and most deserving of his and his companies success than any other CEO in the world today. Obviously having Lewis on board helps out, but the design and thoughtfulness of this interview gives me some hope that F1, while being quite elitist, is about as close to a meritocracy that we have in the world, thats both mental and physical, engineering and biology. Absolutely fantastic.
Also, i came into this not being a Merecedes fan.
Really? He didn't build anything from scratch. He inherited that team with a massive engine advantage for almost a decade. How is he doing now?
Toto Wolff will prove he deserves it if he's able to bring Mercedes back to championship glory, because this time he'll do it all by himself. Last time around he inherited a successful engine and development direction, not undermining his work but.
cnbc, if artificial intelligence replaced human drivers in america why mercedes can't race cars using artificial intelligence?
Imagine interviewing a team that can’t build car about racing😂
Dts fan boys 👦
Is that why you were crying about their dominance the past decade😂
Yoo I’m a merc fan too but this interview is kinda like talking to Sam bankman about crypto after ftx crash
Las Vegas Grand Prix was better than any other in the world.
Enjoy the interviews but she is really tense as an interviewer. The questions are good but I have a hard time listening to her she just makes me nervous, there is an tone of doubt in her voice, almost like she thinks she doesn’t belong there.
Don't agree with you here. She's a pro and is very accomplished as a financial journalist.
Shows you that corruption and insider trading does really pay off!
One can argue that HAAS is adding zero value to the sport. Gunther himself has admitted in a MSNBC interview that the team has never been profitable, and may just break even this year or next year.
People think im slow. I play dumb and sandbag
I want 7 more years of Mercedes dominance!! I said it! My favorite CEO of all time!
then, go back in time, cos it's not gonna happen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the reason for mercedes success was money, they had outspent everyone else by a great margin, since the buget cap, they became worthless with an overpriced mediocre black driver, who hasn't shown anything remarkable since the buget cap
If they don’t get it right next year, we will have to wait ‘til 2026 when the car and engine regulations change completely.
@@LuisTrey with a pro Politician (toto) and Mr. Mediocrity (Lewis) under the buget constrains, there will be no success for this team, these both guys aren't up for the task. toto can only politically manipulate fia up to certain level, and lewis can only win with dominant cars
His father was from ROMANIA
SVEN WOLFF
MOTHER / POLISH
MAYBE HE CAN SPEAK IN ROMANIAN ASWELL
Car isn't fast enough to be competitive with Verstappen
Haas is worthless. Bring in Andretti.
He knew in advance what the questions were 😢😢 boring setup interview.
Mercedes wins 1 championship in Hamiltons remaining seasons
lol, Toto the investor was at the right place in the right time and the last 2 years he showed he is only a investor.
Balance i can run with Hamilton.
Follow a few laps then pass him.
🎉❤😊
Can I have vip pass at Abu Dhabi??😅😂
i always watch CNBC NEWS becuse of Sara, really good interview with Toto
how much did toto pay for this interview?
SUCCESS??😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 HE RUINED THE TEAM AND MAX IS UNSTOPPABLE
Soo many Red Bull DTS fans in the comment section hating on Toto. Mercedes dominance under Toto gave them PTSD.
Just for context Mercedes won the constructors championship from 2014 - 2021. They won the drivers championship from 2014 - 2020. The only reason they lost in 2021 for drivers championship is because the race director changed the rules on the last lap of the last race which favored Red Bull and their driver.
The race director Michael Masi was fired before the next season started for his egregious actions.
😂😂😂 you are still living in 2021. Brawn made the successful ‘Merc team’and then Toto took over…. We all know that. And your context is your fantasy and jealousy, not facts lol
Stop posting blatant lies abt Abu Dhabi 😂😂😂 Race Director worked according the 2021 rule book. And LH didn’t win the Workd Championship cos his team DIDNT LET HIM PIT FOR NEW SOFT TYRES…EVEN WHEN LH ASKED FOR IT 2 times!! Toto is to blame for LH not winning the WC in 2021, it was HIS decision to keep LH on track on 44laps old hard tyres….. So stop with your lies as ‘context’ lol
@@Redlingstein no matter how many emojis you use it won't change facts.
-Masi got sacked because he broke the rules
-Mercedes dominated from 2014-2021
-Ross sold his majority stake in 2009 before Mercedes dominance started in 2014
-Red Bull admitted Masi applied the rules differently in 2021 on the last lap of the last race.
You can google everything I've just listed, we can't goopgle your imaginary theories 🤡.
Really? Only 1 tough question about their main competitor, Red Bull? This was a softball boring interview. For those who don't know the nuances of Toto and his Merc team...He took over a team with a perfect car many, many years ago - he was literally handed a perfect car and team. But when specs changed 2 years ago and Merc had to build a brand new car, it was horrible! It's STILL NOT competitive in the way it was before! Lower budget teams are taking Merc to the cleaners! Sorry Toto, you're not the F1 savior everyone makes you out to be!
Dts fan boy
you are 100% correct
Sorry for being triggered🤭
@@KaYata-xf7lm i want to see his triggered face when his drivers lose 2nd in the teams' championship😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
@@KaYata-xf7lm what about my factual comment is emotional and "triggering"? please do explain? Interesting how explain facts as being triggering...maybe look in the mirror?
how many man work in the team? mostly white man. Pum, she wasnt expecting that. Love it. she wanted to talk about minorities, then lets talk about minorities.
Toto❤
Liberty Media has ruined the sport.
Second that 👌 .and unfortunately its only the start
What is wrong with emloying white man?
Whilst I do appreciate Toto's views on inclusivity, I have to object to any idea of a woman racing in a men's GP. I do understand why there will be some views contrary to mine, but we cannot actively brush off certain basic biological traits of men to go easy on women in areas where we tend to be dominant.; There's just not feasibly merit to creating a space which compels these drivers to conform. These drivers work hard to be in the positions they are in (maybe, except Lance😅) - and so to dismiss that simply for some kind of "unsolicited" approval is utterly wrong. Female interest growth, I reckon, is in large part because they get a good sporting show (and to quote the interviewer: "they are very handsome") - and NOT because of representation. I do advocate that idea manifesting greatly in the engineering and other back-office staff population, but please LEAVE the drivers alone. - There's a whole GP academy for women's competition.; And that should suffice.
The quote "they are very handsome" was about the male drivers on why more females attended the races.
Getting women in the sport at an early age will bring talent, which is more important than strength.
The car is adding a lot more than the driver.
Yes, we may see women with thick muscular necks. A pity, but they are athletes.
Tell his ass double time. Results are slipping and Hamilton isnt getting faster
Lewis leaves the sport it will take a massive hit realistically
I wouldn’t say so, there is always new talent coming out especially in the f1 world, me personally i did liked Lewis when he was the underdog, even him winning the first two titles but after that i just wanted someone else to win. Same with max and it would be same for any driver it just makes the sport interesting
@k.hrowin3238 yea always a chance for new upcoming drivers but they will take years to establish their name like Lewis has.
Without a doubt. There are so many people that only watch because of him. I am one of them. When he retires, I will be done with F1. The sport is going to massive hit when Lewis leaves.
That’s why it was so shocking when they decided to cheat their cash cow in 2021.
Dude is already irrelevant the last 2 seasons
@@truongkimson ok buddy.
Disappointed with Mercedes very poor management and performance
Toto is a BUSY man😢.
Sorry, but this man is really delusional. He inherent a team builded by Brawn, with the right people at all the right places. At the first real shake up with the new rules, he had all the key technical people in the wrong places. Now his team lost two years with a botched concept.
He says it himself "He's responsible to create a framework for our performance people", well he really screwed up his highest priority as a teamboss.
If I was the two other share holders, I would move heaven and earth to get him out.
(Not the first time that happend, McLaren did the same with Ron Dennis).
Exactly. Toto acting like he build the team from ground up, he just got lucky. He is no Horner, who had build a race winning team from ground up.
"At the first real shake up with the new rules." We're all just really pretending 2014 never happened?
Such a painful interview. The cadence and flow were so off. Toto is more engaging than this usually.
🤡🤡🤡🤡
🤡🤡🤡🤡
The diversity hire agenda already made its mark on Mercedes F1 performance. No reason to make it worse Toto.
I wanna see you back up that statement.
I lost my respect for this man over the last 2 years. It’s easy to be a great winner…..he is such a sore loser!
Stop bringing SKIN COLOR AND POLITICS INTO THIS!!! FOCUS ON TALENT!!!
Please protest for ceasefire

unsportsmanlike bad Austrian. Letting Sainz getting his penalty. Vile vile German !
Lol but wrong channel for that mate
Well it wasn't fair in 2021 either
