"Too Horrible to Die" is, in fact, a condition that some Skaven units can get - Hellpit Abominations get it by default, and I think(?) that it can be given to others through Throt's concoctions. From what I remember, it either gives a chance of regen on low health, spawning a unit of temporary skavenslaves on death, or both.
It's a mix of the phoenix revive chance and necrofex zombie spawn on low health, obviously with random chance because skaven
It was also an actual rule on the tabletop for Hellpit Abominations, and behaved similarly to what you described - either the Abomination stands back up with some wounds regenerated, it flails around in a death spasm dealing damage to whatever is nearby, or it explodes into a horde of rat swarms that spawn around its model base

No wonder why I've never seen them before. I thought I would have commented on a rat hydra the moment I saw it, but was second guessing my memory.

you got the destroy and resettle tech completely right, it was an optimal strat for ikit claw in skavenblight too to let the city go to ruin and conquer it again and make it a tier 4 or 5 settlement for higher quality buildings

@@johnj.spurgin7037 Its harder to do it quickly, but you just build up food from battles and raiding your own lands with a 2nd army, then abandon Skavenblight and resettle on the next turn.
To explain the "Expendable" trait. Most of the time when a unit routes, it causes nearby allies of said unit to suffer a leadership debuff, since theyre seeing their friends run away, but thats not the case for "expendable" units. Basically no one cares about expendables, not even their allies, so them being mauled, dismembered, decapitated or any other horrible way to perish wont cause any leadership debuffs to allies 😂

For reference, Gorrik, or whatever his name is, the giant violent robot skaven, was a human chaos champion.
One of the things the Skaven can do to you is remove your brain and put it into a skaven body, Gorrik was basically sold by his old leader since he was a threat and a chaos favored, to the skaven.
He's still a chaos follower, but as he is now he's the result of, I think it was Throt himself, wanting to see exactly what he could do with a brain transplant.
You can probably guess but his new form has only made him even more deadly, and the chaos god he follows, as you can also probably guess, is Khorn.

This is probably the only channel where I actually enjoy the reaction content. I usually see reaction content, and think that there isn't enough added by the person to justify not just watching the original video. That isn't the case here and it's all the better for it.
6:00 Normally it takes growth to gain a pop and each higher lv of city takes more pops. Thus more growth and more turns waiting, while you can boost the growth with tech or buildings it still takes a while waiting.
Yet the skaven can say nah fuck that and can either capture or resettle a ruin (like abandonning your capital) and spend food to instantly get a higher lv city.
And yes normally it takes like 20 turns to get close to a lv 4 capital, he did it in half.
So yeah clan skryre and clan moulder can just get some food from fighting, nuke their capital and resettle it next turn at like lv 4 or max lv 5. Very early on.

When Skaven conquer or settle an area, they can spend food to immediately bring that location to a higher level. This is mostly used for getting a place you just took up to tier 3. But some crafty folks discovered you can abandon your own capitol and resettle it with food to jump start the growth and cut out roughly 15-25 turns of growth while the penalties to public order and income from starving don't hit as hard since you only have a handful of locations under your control. The penalty to leadership is a bit rough though since Skaven units notoriously have garbage leadership values which is why you don't really want to keep doing this kind of thing more than once later down the line in a campaign
Others have said this, that he is using a mod for some of the units, but they haven't directly said the name of it.
It's Moulder's Monsters. Highly recommend it, and there's also a bunch of other great Skaven mods too.

Killing fewer of your own troops than your opponent does is considered to be a failure when playing as Skaven. They don't have friendly fire: they have funny fire. But if you like Total Warhammer videos and want some more practical (but still amusing) information, check out the "Why you suck with X" videos by Blake's Takes. He has done several videos so far, so if one of these is on an army you like give him a shot for when you start playing in earnest.

The re-settlement thing is an old Skaven abuse.
They can spend their food supply to increase level of main settlement building when they colonise or conquer it without waiting any turns and saving a lot of money. This mechanic makes the Skaven one of the strongest factions in the late game, as they can very quickly and efficiently expand their empire, rebuild their economy and garrisons. And thanks to that, the Skaven are less afraid of losing their native territories than other factions. Since they don't have to wait 100 turns to get T5 buildings again.
A specific abuse appeared when was added the ability to “leave” the settlement. Before this, the Skaven deliberately provoked an uprising and allowed it to occupy their home territory to carry out this cheese.
By the way, for the skaven it is not very broken since their settlements, even without abuse, can very quickly reach T5
I pray that the vampire counts eventually get this mechanic when they get a grand "champions of chaos-style" DLC and the different bloodlines get mechanics fitting for their lore.
Ok so to give a bit of context with the "Third Kislev Leader". His name is Tsar Boris Ursus, he is the previous faction leader of Kislev, and Kataryn's dad. Everyone thought he died in the chaos wastes.
He is a free unlockable playable legendary lord. You can get him by doing a small side quest in the realms of chaos campaign by playing as kislev. Once unlocked you can freely play him in realms of chaos or immortal empires.
So his whole schtick is bringing the fight to chaos in the wastes. Since most of the setting kislev has been on the defence. Thats why hes not part of the kislev rivalry because hes too busy being a chad and sticking it to chaos.
Also this is a bit of a headcanon since idk if its confirmed or not, but i think Boris wants Kataryn to grow as her own leader. Him interfering would cause the peoples loyalty to shift to him and away from kataryn since he was the previous leader. (Just a headcanon, so dont take this seriously)
They didn't think he died, he did die, the advisor uses the tome to bring him back. I think his motives are up to the player, since he died when she was very young, and technically has as much claim to the throne as she does.
The hydra mod is part of a mod that give you all of molder monsters.

Yea clan moulder has a lot of unique to them abomination monsters most are rat hybrids and too horrible to dead is a skill some skaven monsters have that gives them regen when below 10% health

The Skaven are having a hard time in multiplayer. Their low leadership is the cornerstone. This problem has always been with them, but numerous nerfs were gradually added to it. I think there are people in the CA team who incredibly love the Skaven and they were most likely responsible for the campaign, at the same time there are people who strongly dislike them. From the very start of the second Warhammer, the Skaven balance looked like this - they add strong and interesting units - then these units are nerfed to the very bottom. Plague monks and Warplightning cannons at the beginning. Jezails, Bombardiers and ratlings in the Time of Ikit. Dogs and rat ogres of Troth. Now the Skaven have a roster of the most unique and diverse units in the game, among which absolutely all are absolutely bad in everything.(
But at least in the campaign they feel great
