Thank you Al for being a great role model for me through the years. First time I saw you was the MCM how to turbo series. Through your years as a presenter I’ve looked up to you as a role model, first as how to be a man, then after I transitioned how to live as a person who shares what they’ve learned. Your quiet calm demeanour on camera has left an indelible mark on me and how on conduct myself amongst peers and friends.
I appreciate how you’ve set an example for me and many others
Woody I look forward to seeing where you take the Channel
Thank you TSF
Couldn't agree more, Al is a cracking role model, and someone that I look up to greatly.
Well put @MaddyBee. 👏
RIP Skid factory

Top man Al for mentioning that Christmas is not everyones best time of year.
It helps to know others struggle at this time of year too, and that it isn't something to go through alone. ❤
Thanks again Al. 🤝
Onya Al for the tough times some people face around the festive season. Mental health needs all the promotion it can get.
I came to the comments to say the very same, it's not everyone's favourite time (definitely not mine) and I really appreciated Al's comment to let us know we're not alone in this feeling. ❤🙌
The best part of this vid was look out for your mates. They might seem OK, but a bit of care/appreciation works heaps
Although I've been loving the WoodFactory content lately, it is awesome to see and hear Allan again.
Have a great festive break guys
Make sure to catch the live stream... I sure as heck want a lemon squash with the boys 👍🍻
Wood factory? Sounds like a sausage fest 😉
Always appricate Al's knowledge. could listen for hours on end.
Merry Christmas to the boys at TSF! Thanks for the years of high quality automotive (and comedic) content! Hope you enjoy a few well-earned lemon squashes for the day 🍻 🚗 💨 🏭
Appreciate the shout out Al :)
Bumper looks great!
Shrouds, ducting etc all great work and perfect for doing exactly what you said.
END OF YEAR LIVE STREAM 4PM EST THURSDAY 28TH
Gotta say boys, having Al back on is like prawns and lemon squash on Xmas day. It just goes together. Merry Christmas lads. Cheers
We thought it was EST not AEST so have gotten up at 8am AEDT to watch a 4pm EST Timezone and missed it? Darn
Hey, why do you guys put your steering wheel on the wrong side of the car?
Do you know why right hand drive is wrong?
Because it appears to be done just to not be left hand drive.
I thought maybe because North America is left drive, and they just couldn't be the same, but as I type this, wonder if it's tied to the hatred of anything left-handed that used to exist.
But how we can know it is wrong is because of the location of the carburetor.
Where is 99% of all carbs?
Center of the vehicle.
Where's the accelerator pedal in a right hand drive car?
Where is the accelerator in a left hand drive?
I had a wrx wagon with apparently some of Al's fabwork done on it 🤙🏻 top notch
“I don’t like having these brackets and stuff going everywhere”… time for @bad obsession Motorsport to spit their tea!!
*tea
Anyone else just feel better about life hearing Al say right at the end, “I’m here to help.” If only he was here to help with our own projects. I felt that…
8:47 take a look at a secondary rad set up on the larger 1KD toyota hiaces. They run a second rad on the passenger/left side behind the bumper and these are now made as an aftermarket aluminium unit. Might help 👍
My brain went straight to that setup as well
Great episode! Going to miss Al! The old ‘Alan Cam’ with commentary sections are always great. 11:30
Al. You’ve been an inspiration to me. You’ve inspired me to play with my Land Rover and Toyota. I bet you’ve inspired a lot more people also. I’m very sad to see you go. I will miss you. I have learned a lot from you.
Al's reaction when he said "No subwoofer" is just so hilarious!
I get the feeling deep down that AL is as happy out in front of the camera as I am, getting his nuggets caught in the bench grinder would be preferable. 😂
Need Al in this channel....
Alan you are a beast we love you happy new year 💯👍🤠🪬🩴🌳🏞️🍻🎸🛠️🪝
You too Woody!
Last time to see Al! I miss the guy already. Building a proper zee factory inline 6 z! I'm also drooling with all the room you have. Been redoing a 4g63 swap into a 87 mirage turbo hatch. Zero space!
That be wicked con version!!!
Welcome back to the supercheap factory. I miss the old skid factory. 😢
I love watching Al work. A real artisan of machines.
We need an “Al saying bracket” compilation, he’s a true genius, but hearing bracket over and over is so funny
I used to be sceptical about using the chassis for ground until I did my own battery relocation. I did a proper job of all the routing, double insulated with conduit like you guys did - it looked mint.
When it was all in and finished, I hit the key and got nothin' but clicks - low voltage cut out on the starter. I was gutted!
Rather than redo the whole thing, I thought I'd try adding a ground to the chassis in the boot, and it worked like a treat. The starter kicked strong, first time every time.
Never again will I doubt the ability of a million little spot welds when it comes to moving electrons.
why would you ever be skeptical about a chassis ground haha! It's been essential for engines and starter motors since the 70's.
Electrician here running both a positive and negative conductor in a vehicle will almost double the resistance of the cabling compared to using a body ground , high current 12vdc loads need very low resistance circuits, high current increases resistance of the cabling which then drops the voltage at the starter motor.. plus it’s quicker and a lot cheaper to just run 1 conductor
They do it like this from the factory in cars with rear mounted batteries
Al, you’re my role model. Every build is amazing, and this one is top tier.
I understand Al's ultimate plan is to slow down the YT and focus on the personal life (which is highly needed) I'd love a 5 hour long engine build or something of al and woody just vibing so I can sleep or enjoy them on a long drive lol
Merry Christmas Everyone
No offence to Woody, but I’m going to miss Al. TSF vids just aren’t the same without him 😢
It's like watching Batman and Robin without Batman.
I can't see it surviving without Al.
I think all of us are in the same boat. Al's wizardry is what brought me here.
He isn't leaving the show, he just isn't the host anymore (he said he will pop up every now and then for projects and episodes)
Sometimes change is a good thing legends! 😁
@@boxersmowhat you said. I still watch mighty car mods even though Benny and Al aren't regulars on the show anymore and I will continue to do so with the skid factory. Woody has an eye for things and I feel he will do great.
Thanks for another awesome year guy's. Next year won't be the same without you Al but I look forward to seeing you on MCM, BCW, NG or wherever else you're skills and knowledge will be greatly appreciated. Cheers to 2024
As far as metal fab, problem solving and mechanical knowledge goes, Al is an absolute wizard.
It's zed whether ya like it or not 😂
Damn Imma miss you AL
Miss you al already love watching you and woody. Tinkering making stuff that works good luck on your journey with whatever you may put your hand to.go hard woody looking forward to see what the new year brings🎉❤
Awesome build and even better closing comments about checking in on mates. 👍
Happy christmas to all involved with TSF. Been a fan since day one and despite living in Scotland, ive tried my best to support by buying as much merch as i could. Big fan.
Awesome mate
Awesome content, you guys provide a dose of weekly escapism that is keeping a bunch of us sane. Have a great Christmas break, I hope to see Al make some guest appearances he's just a top bloke
That front bar looks great Al
Seems like you've gone down the rabbit hole on this one boys. Thanks for a wonderful, informative, and entertaining year yet again. I Look fwd to what 24 brings with the new format Skid Factory. HNY lads and everyone else. Hopefully grab some lemon squashes with you on the live.
Great work as always
Sad to hear you are finishing up Al I hope you'll be back sometime in the future. All the best 👍 also the Blown Big Block Crown is far king awesome!
One of, if NOT the BEST and Most exciting Project you guys have done to date!
Dont leave us al!!
Shame we've seen Al for years cause of MCM, and just discovered Skid Factory last week and have been watching every night. Gonna miss Al, Woody you're okay, but you're no Al ;)
OG Skid Factory, I'm really enjoying the Z build ! Cheers Al and Woody !
Merry Christmas to you & yours!! Hope you had a good one! Not gonna lie Alan, we'll miss you buddy. All the best for 2024 & have an awesome New Year when it comes!! Cheers. Leigh.
Al great to see you working on the 300 ZED again. Woody is doing TSF proud but great to see Yoda again. :) Loving the ZED series. Lovin the Merch. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years boys.
Massive respect for the mental health check-in mention at the end
👏 cheers boys smashing episode like always... ill be on tomorrow👍
Al is so good. Not gonna be the same without him
You really lost the chance to call this episode the “Budget Lamborghini Factory” 😂
nice to see you back al..............the channel is not the same without you.
"Why didn't you paint that?" Absolutely no reaction hahahaha
Man, I love AL’s low key goofieness
This build is epic. I love this body style car. Probably too big of a hassle but you can move the AC evaporator lines to a different outlet location behind the firewall. A refrigerator AC guy can make new lines running anywhere you want to route them. Even withe the down pipe kicked over, that heat is going to be right there.
Thanks for another super educational episode of the Z factory!
Nice work guys, make sure you take a break over the period.
Love everything you guys do.
That Twins front bar is great looking, what a score.
Party on!
So awesome!! Absolutely a master craftsman
Another awesome show. Thanks guys!
Here for the Z cars. Keen to see more of them!
Merry Christmas Al and Woodie.
Looking forward to seeing AL fully sending it smoking those tyres on a track day , have a great NYE guys
Oh your back Al that's good
Thx guys..love ur work stay safe stay well
As a Z32 guy from way back, it's great to see a P-spec (TwinZ) bumper! Z looks epic so far!
@42:53 you guys drop way more than just auto knowledge. Z looks *siiick*. 😎
Love the RFB content turbo Yoda 🔥💯🤙🤙 from New Zealand 😎
for a daily driver, not a drag car, that radiator wil work perfectly .esp with the air guides youre installing, def dont forget side air guides as well. under headlights is huge gaps that used to have oem airbox pipes under them. now just gaping holes lol for loosing air pressure, ok cool. at 5 mins you mention the same. mad respect. knew i loved this channel for a reason!
Always enjoyable watching your fabrication madness
Man I don't know how anyone can or will replace the epic content tsf has been putting out reminders of mcm when they had the turbo Yoda on
I don't care what you call it You guys are the best
Yeah the boys. Still pumped for this build can't wait to hear the Z to do it's thing haha
Merry christmas guys awesome episode as always🙂
Loving it, this was a halo car for me as a kid in the early 90's. Dad took me for a test drive in a 2+2 TT with t-tops in red. Although I did like that pearl white.
"It's already got two turbos. It doesn't need subwoofers." LOL love this!
Sweet saving christmass istnt the best times for everyone.
Checkin on mates that doet have such a nice time.
Drink some beers with em.
❤❤
Cheers Boi's.....Conveying Regards from West Wales..
Appreciate the hose clamp trick on the Wiggens clamp, I'll be using that post haste! 👏
Love all the vids boys.
Al just wanted to correct something you said as it is potentially dangerous.
A DIN Battery is absolutely vented to atmosphere. I believe you were meaning AGM.
DIN = A German abbreviation. Translated to German institute for standardization
AGM = Absorbed Glass Mat
DIN53/65/75/85 (etc) Batteries are vented to atmosphere. 1 Side has to be plugged and the other side has a vent hole - usually to connect to a vent tube. This is why they are sometimes found inside vehicle cabins. These do vent gases with normal use and vent a lot of gas during an overcharging event.
An AGM battery is fully sealed and has a fibreglass matting surrounding the cells. They should not ever explode or vent toxic gases. This is the preferred option for anything inside a cabin.
I noticed the battery purchased in the video is a DIN style battery and not an AGM type as it has vent holes.
Please connect a vent tube to the open port or exchange it for an AGM battery.
Hope I have been of help. Love what you guys do and gonna miss Al
You are 100% correct. They do need a vent pipe but are still designed for inside use.
That.. was the best intro on youtube .. hands down
damn loving the Build .. its gona be a Great Car.
All the Love from Germany.
Damn that old head unit is a blast from the past. My brother had that same one in his 1st gen eclipse.
Further to this. Good luck woody. I know you’ll be ace.
Cool Al's back
thanks for another year of awesome content. it's good cars, good people, good times that are irreplaceable. i hope you and all had a good Xmas and are safe from the crazy weather. i know how much you hate air-con pumps and power steering pumps and hindsight is a rabbit hole but maybe the next revision, (these projects never end. admit it. lol) electric air-con, water pump and power steer to give room for bigger turbskies? BTW i have learnt so much watching you guys and i thank you for that as well.
Love love that intro
No wonder Al has had enough, going by that intro 😂
You said bracket so many times i thought i was watching project Binky.
You do you lads
Thanks for another year of TSF boys legendary 🙃
Legend.
Yay the cool Time merry Christmas and happy new year Boys
Remember when grounding kits were sold as quantifiable horsepower adders 😅
Brilliant 👏
Wish we could’ve seen more of the wiring work on that harness. I’m doing something similar on my Z32 with a PD16 and a 2500 instead of the R3. Got the ECU wiring down, no issues but the rats nest of wiring from the relay box is just insane to follow at times.
All that is left is the head light relays and Horn relay and they would also be gone if I had an R5.
@@theskidfactory Yeah I was trying to put the headlights on the PD16 8 amp wiring since I’ve converted to LEDs but that way isn’t a bad idea either.
If you have an R5 and PD16 then you can remove the entire wiring loom altogether and the car will weigh 100kg less.
LED bulbs allow you to pair multiple lights on a single 8A also. My crown runs all LED.
@@theskidfactory Yeah sadly, don’t have an R5. Could’ve, but I spent / earmarked all that $ on 62mm billet throttle bodies and a drive by wire system from Polar Engineering that will run off the Elite and let me dump all the factory idle air and cruise control systems.
Is Woody's going to keep working out of turbo yoda's shed?
Such a sick build
Try not to get too much of a “sugar high” with all that “lemon squash” tomorrow 😂
Merry Christmas to all the people out there.
Good times nicely done 👍
Bloody brilliant 🇦🇺🤜🏼🤛🏼🎄🎅🏻
Zesus mate good job
