How to fix Eve-ng issue in web GUI Login

- If your eve-ng web concole can not login, try one of these ways:
1. To fix permission, enter this command in eve-ng console or ssh “/opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions”
2. Check the avalability of your eve-ng HD using “df -h” and chek wether the disk is full. If it is full, expand the HD by create new SCSI card drive in VM Ware.
3. Fix eve-ng SQL database using “unl_wrapper -a restoredb” in your eve-ng console or ssh.

my disk was full and i just expanded it by creating a new disk. Thanks dear

I followed the steps shown in the video, but the difference is that I added a disk of only 10GB and after everything was done I had to restart the VM. I hope this helps.

Yes that is a common issue once you have your hdd reached the maximum capacity either you can delete some of the images from the existing hdd or add a new hdd. By the way you can check the capacity of the hdd on eve-ng cli by using the command " df -h"

Thanks man, it's important to notice everyone that all unl users will be deleted. But I have another question... Is someone with trouble creating new unl users? Every time I try to create a new one it just shows the message database error 90003.
Has the community version a limit to create users? I was just able to create one.

I'm using eve-ng, and there's no problem when I use 2 accounts, but I get a database error (90003) when I create a 3rd account, do you know how to solve it?
Eve-ng community edition has the limitation with that. If you want to use multiple accounts and pods either you have to use Eve-ng Pro or else there is another project which is built on Eve-ng platform with the pro functions for free. Search for Pynet labs.
after using 3rd option im getting following error -> -bash: unl_wrapper : command not found
did you login using root and used this command? unl_wrapper -a restoredb
Also you can try /opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a restoredb

I installed through vm veirtualbox of oracde
None of these solutons worked for me, brand new installation of eve-ng in a VM. Using dev tools in chrome I can see 500 internal server error everytime I try to log in.

Use sudo before the /opt like sudo /opt ...
None of these options have worked for me. My root filesystem is only 19% used, so I didn't try option 1. I ran option 2 and option 3 though and nothing has changed.
When the login page loads (before I try to login) I get a 401 from /api/auth.
When I try to login I get a 500 (internal server error) from the login script. The tryLogin() function catches the error and posts to the console "Unknown Error. Why did API doesn't respond?"
It appears there is an API that is down, but documentation is non-existent, and I've been waiting on a registration email for about 30 minutes now so that I can get registered on the forums.
Not very confident in this product at this point. Maybe it's just the frontend devs that need replaced though. Not going to give up just yet.
Hi, I have the same issue (500 error). Were you able to fix this? I visited the eve-ng forum and it says I am banned, despite the fact that this is the first time I try to access the forum :-/
@ I'm sorry, but I don't remember the details. It was something about the way I was trying to login though. I remember it being counter-intuitive. I wasn't a fan once I got it working, so I haven't used it since.

/opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a restoredb this worked for me. oddly enough before I ran into this issue my eve-ng crashed my pc once rebooted I was unable to log in to the GUI. I guess it corrupted the DB. Thanks
Always make sure to create snapshots for your VM. Now you can upgrade your Eve-ng Box to fix this issue.
