    In today's video, I drive my turbo Lexus IS 300 over to my friends house to help him start his own turbo IS300 for the first time! He has been building this Lexus for years, so this was a big day for him.

    Ohhhh loving the color choice gold and green WORKS! Unfortunately this is how projects like this go, we took the engine in and out of our Boosted_Lexi 8 times making sure fitment and connections were perfect and there were no leaks. Welcome to the turbo IS300 crew Andrew!

      Did you guys have any tuning issues with fuel pressure (since OEM is returnless fuel system) or put a return on the fuel line? Also what ecu are y'all running? I can't decide if I want to go AEM infinity or a cheaper piggyback. My goal is around 400 WHP realistically.

    • @RacecarAndChill
      @RacecarAndChill  Před 4 lety +1

      @@notsoaveragejoe2JZ there are no piggy backs that run these cars well. I strongly suggest the infinity standalone. That's what my car runs. Both this car and my car also have return systems for the fuel.

      @RacecarAndChill  Před 4 lety +1

      @@xkukubax hell yes! If it has a factory radio, the CD player most likely wont work. You can use that to talk them down on the price. Lower control arm #2 bushings aka castor arm bushings will probably be shot too. The symptoms are a slight shake when you transfer the weight of the car. So when you go from gas to brake slowly, you'll feel the car shake until the weight is shifted to the front.

    • @xkukubax
      @xkukubax Před 4 lety

      RacecarAndChill thank you for your kind advice. The car I’m eyeballing has all the bushings swapped for polyurethane ones and all the control arms have been sandblasted and powder coated. The only thing I’m not too keen on is the colour - electric green mica. I might repaint it though. Cheers!

    • @RacecarAndChill

      Not really. Unless you get a standalone ecu, then you can run a little bit of boost reliably.

      I wrapped it myself with some fabric I bought at some random fabric store! It was cheap, the whole interior cost like $50 in material, and most of that cost was for the glue.

      @@kylebradley8963 thanks man! I did it about a year ago, and if I were to do it again, I would use a different material. Looks like this material doesnt like the AZ sun much.
