  • In this video we will be relocating the ABS, battery and begin the teardown and build. We will be running 7-8 PSI of boost without a standalone and tricking the computer to run at a good AFR without any check engine lights

    how did you route the abs like that?? just wondering everyone i’ve eeen do an abs relocation has gotten either the finishing lines or the chase bays kit and re route soo the lines but this seems so much easier and faster

    • @mabuildsofficial
      @mabuildsofficial  Před 3 lety

      Hey @AlexFranco
      The lines are fairly flexible so you detach all the clips along the body towards the firewall and slowly start bending them, make sure to be careful not to kink them I found that wrapping all the lines around your hand and slowly pushing towards them helps the lines bend in a U shape and keeps them from bending just be sure to do it slowly don’t rush the process the easiest way it to grab the abs module and use that to move and bend the lines

      We pieced this kit together and made it ourselves but we did list most of everything we got in the video description in part 4 of the build

    What was the exact process relocating the ABS?

    • @mabuildsofficial
      @mabuildsofficial  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey jack
      Unfortunately we don’t have footage of the entire process but we will be build another turbo is300 on the channel in the next couple months and we will try and document that better for you guys..the biggest thing when relocating the abs it to not crimp the lines and the best way to do that is just unclip all the lines from the body and as you start to bend them grip all of the lines with your other hand and fold them over your hand. This will help the lines bend around your hand and will help prevent crimping the lines.
      If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

    Nice job documenting everything, but that manifold is junk. Should've got the CX racing manifold.

    • @mabuildsofficial
      @mabuildsofficial  Před 3 lety +1

      @DIY-Alex your absolutely right it places the turbo a little high and limits the size of turbo that can be installed due to the hot side touching the intake pipe. Our plan was never to go big but to run a safe set up with a smaller turbo..We have not tested with the Cx racing manifold but may on the next project! Thanks for the suggestion and support!

      Yes the whole car is on factory ecu no mods or tune just stock. We do a full breakdown at the end of the build of all the parts too

      @@mabuildsofficial good to know I'm working on my own is300 build now and it's an 01. Don't really want to pour cash in for a stand alone and was curious if the stock ecu and maf were up to the task. Power goal of 300 to 350 nothing crazy just a fun daily driver

      That's weird it didn't work without the stand alone? Is yours an auto? What were the differences in your build? Yeah we'll definitely check it out!

    • @yellowshopbuilds
      @yellowshopbuilds Před 3 lety +1

      @@mabuildsofficial it is an auto, and an 01. Apparently there are differences within the 01 🤷‍♂️ also at that time we didn't use a return system or a fpr. Maybe those would have helped

    • @mabuildsofficial
      @mabuildsofficial  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah the ecu is different than the 02-05 is300 not too sure what all the differences are but if you had an aftermarket fuel regulator with no return that will definitely affect the car since the excess fuel has no where to go

    • @mabuildsofficial
      @mabuildsofficial  Před 3 lety

      And yeah the fpr is kinda what makes it possible, cuz it's boost referenced. So that's the only way you're able to add fuel without any kind of calibration to the ECU. The injectors are still opening the same but your shoving more fuel in since the pressure is going up with every pound of boost.
