Omg I just feel like am listening to a Sierra Leonean and I've noticed the similarities in the way you say certain things in your videos. We have Lie tin, na wetin, whoside you komot, witch tin, waka, tif tin, nyanga, chop, and ashia in our local language Krio and they mean exactly the same things.
Very similar except the very different accent. Di accent Kin Mek ar laugh. But They have a good command of the language. Much better Pidgin than Nigerian.
You say those soft pidgins words/phrases in such a way that involuntary participation is invoked. I listened to myself doing the translations too. You so good at dramatic monologue.
As a french cameroonian we should explore more this language. We're multilanguage but we just value french and a bit english. This cameroonian pidgn should be value as a third official language.
Good morning. Please, I'm a Nigerian student carrying out a research on West African pidgin, one of which is Cameroon Kamtok. I just want to ask if there's any Kamtok based forum that I can join to gather enough data on usage and interaction of Kamtok for my research. Thanks.
What cameroon value more french then english? That's funny because I'm a candian cameroonai and my mom speaks more english then french and I'm kinda bad at french
As a french speaker i did not know that nyanga, njoh, Waka and Assia as we say it in french were from pidgin. And also "mop" cuz the french speakers use it to say " to kiss" like " il m'a mop" for "he kisses me" but actually it means "mouth" so funny. Thks ooh so cool. I would love to be able to speak good pidgin english!
I was going to add swang boom u said it🤣🤣🤣..🏃♀️🏃♀️Chop your chop first. I like how you spelt out everything.. I still use ashia alot😂😂until my daughter says it too. De bone demonstration 🤣🤣🤣🤣..
Ashia does not have equivalent in English or French. It’s used to show sympathy. Ps: why would you say sorry to someone who has fallen? Are you the one who pushed him?
More like English because we tend to anglicise our spellings. The example u gave, a Nigerian would spell, "how far now?" But would pronounce, "ha far na?" Another example would be, "him dey lie up and down," would be pronounced, "im/in dey lie upandan," meaning, "he lies a lot."
Also depends on the class of the speaker and also part of Nigeria the speaker is from. In the Niger Delta region where I'm from and where pidgin English is usually a first language "thing " is pronounced "tin," "like this" is "laidis," etc. So yes, they are same with same meanings in naija pidgin except for loan words from ur local languages, which also exist in naija pidgin. Hearing words like bone, claim, feel...u could easily be speaking naija pidgin coz it's same meaning, same context.
EVERYONE KNOWS THAT I DON’T LIKE CAMEROON I HATE CAMEROON BECAUSE CAMEROON IS A VERY BAD COUNTRY AND ITS DIRTY BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE GET BEATING A LOT IN CAMEROON AND A LOT OF PEOPLE DIE IN CAMEROON SO I LIKE MARYLAND, CALIFORNIA, FLORIDA, AND CARIBBEAN MORE THAN CAMEROON.
Thank you so much !!! Your content is excellent and the language you value deserves more attention that what it has today in Cameroon
Wow, thank you!

Even though French is the official language in Cameroon. I like how the Cameroonians have their own twist to the English language.
French is not the only official language in Cameroon. Cameroon is bilingual so French and English are the official languages
As a Sierra Leonean I can understand almost everything a Cameroonian pidgin speaker says.
Wow that's amazing

Just realizing Nigerians and Cameroonians have the exact same accent.

Nigeria and Cameroon are very close maybe that’s why they sound identical
This was great , definitely will help when I come to Cameroon !
It would oh but if they start speaking francanglais you are finished 😂😂

Ur pidgins are similar to sierra Leone in fact no difference in the meaning. Can you tell me why ?🙏
I wish I knew why
Ikr... it's the closest to Sierra Leone Creole
Very close to creole
Yep
The country doesn’t have French Creole ?
I don't know
No
Ashia does not have equivalent in English or French. It’s used to show sympathy. Ps: why would you say sorry to someone who has fallen? Are you the one who pushed him?
Sorry has 2definitions sympathy and apology. When someone dies and you say sorry for your loss aka Ashia are you the one that killed their loved 1?
Hahaha a little different from Nigerian pidgin.
Yes I feel like Nigerian pidgin is more like English
