- What happens if we try to lift Mjolnir with the characters from Marvel's Avengers? It turns out Thor is not the only character in the game who can wield the hammer. If we go to the God of Thunder's room and attempt it with characters like Black Widow, we see that she can't move it. Neither can Miss Marvel, even when she uses her power to enlarge her hands. Black Panther also tries in a somewhat strange way, but he can't budge it. Not even Iron Man, Hawkeye, or Kate Bishop can. For some reason, Kate Bishop is the only one who tries with her feet, although she doesn't lift it. Captain America can move it a bit, similar to what we see in the movies and comics. However, be aware that there's a game error, as the Winter Soldier, Bucky, shares animations with Captain America and can also move the hammer. Bruce Banner in his human form can't lift the hammer, and as Hulk, it's impossible to know because he can't fit through the door. Spider-Man tries with his webs, but they break. Finally, we come to Jane Foster, who is the only one, besides Thor, who can pick up Mjolnir.

the weird thing is: all black panthers are canonically able to wield the hammer so black panther not being able to budge it is super dumb.
Not necessarily, the hammer just has an affinity to it because mjolnir is sentient

Uhm, there is no doorway Hulk cannot fit through. Hulk should be able to resize the doorway to fit.

@@neftalyroman3654I think you have to believe yourself to be worthy in order to be worthy. Thor and Jane are sure of themselves and their beliefs and because of this they deem themselves worthy of holding the hammer. Most other characters have some sort of shame or past they haven’t fully accepted.
Spider-Man is unwilling to kill, even if it’s necessary to save a life. He cannot be worthy while being unable to do what’s necessary
@@neftalyroman3654 I think it’s Odin’s personal idea of what makes someone worthy of the power, so the closer you are to Odin’s personality and values the more likely you can lift it, although not always

Black panther should be able to wield it hes pure of heart and in the comics all black panthers can wield mjolnir
Being pure of heart isn't the key to lifting the hammer otherwise characters like Spider-Man can lift it too. It's a very, VERY vague and inconsistent concept of worthiness

That being said even Black Panther can't lift the hammer who you can argue is pure of heart and does kill. "But Black Panther's lineage can!" That's merely implied by a single writer. The only evidence of people in Black Panther's personal life that can lift the hammer are the X-Men member Storm (his wife) and his ancestor from 1000000 B.C. Contenders like Beta Ray Bill is a protector of his people and is willing to die for them so they may live (but he isn't pure of heart, just a chill alien with a duty).
Looking at crossover comics characters like Wonderwoman (pure of heart and is willing to kill) can lift the hammer but Superman (STRICTLY pure of heart) can lift it too.
Even the hammer itself CHOSE Jane Foster to lift it despite never killing or willing to kill and denied Odin the ability to lift it one time (despite being capable of enchanting it).
Like I said it's very vague. Marvel has never clarified what the standards are of "worthiness". Most people think you need a "warrior's spirit", others say "pure of heart", others say "Odin's standard", others say "Mjolnir choses".
Also mjolnir refuses to hit him
Well black panther is has all the qualities of a good leader which i think was odin's main criteria.

Bucky and Steve are very similar. If you watch back the MCU, Bucky is actually a really nice guy. He doesn't throw people under the bus for his own benefit

For example Spiderman isn't worthy because he refuses to kill people no matter what, even though he puts his life on the line to make sure as many people survive as possible and often gets himself seriously injured but fights through it.
in the comics, Captain America, Black Panther, and Black Widow were all able to pick it up.

I believe the explanation is that Spider-Man can't lift it because of his no kill rule. I think the idea that in order to be worthy, you do have to be willing to take a life as a last resort if you're left with no other option.

I love how most of these characters do move it in the comics at one point or another.
Mjolnir has its own personality, is a decidedly alien conciousness with its own asgaurdian sense of humor, has its own quirks, and is kind of a dick. The hammer decides, on the spur of the moment, who it feels is worthy, and is not some all knowing judge of character. Vision was as much the offspring of mjolnirs magical AI as it was ultrons.
So it was only Thor that could lift it.... Glad i sat thru all that for a lie...

Spider-Man's animation implies that him pulling on his webbing creates a stronger pull than just pulling with his hands. That gives a perspective on how strong the webs are.

I dont like how it doesnt look heavy, but just looks like its held down by some really strong magnet, especially when characters who can lift it actually lift it. I imagine thor hiding in a corner somewhere snickering like an idiot while holding a switch to turn the magnet on and off

I still hate that we missed the best post credit scene idea where Stan Lee; a cleaning man, goes into the avengers building. Cleans around a bit. Lifts the hammer to dust under it. And sets it back down not thinking a thing about it.
It’s a shame no one will ever play this to find out if Hulk can wield the hammer.
