Awesome! Classic VWs are the perfect conversion, there's no power steering or vacuum assisted brakes originally, so there are no extra pumps to worry about. Nice looking bus.
P.S. the turn signals are called semaphores, and are notorious for having a mind of their own.
Its heresy of the top, you dont put electric bullcrap in such a iconic old car, the engine is what also tops it off on the whole experience.

FYI - You can get Power Walls and you don't need to purchase Solar from Tesla. I have two Tesla Powerwall's at my residence in CA and never purchased a solar system through Tesla. My Solar System was purchased in 2015. I got the PW2's installed in 2018.

Use 3m vhb adhesive tape. Basically like the GoPro mount tape. Takes 24 hours to cure and will be tough to get off. Don't use it on batteries unless you don't mind them being damaged when you pull them.

Here in the east, a church key is the old fashioned beer can / bottle opener!
Lyfan Deth, mandatory tool hanging on a string from every workbench and in every repair shop, barn, milkhouse, and even many tractors and farm trucks when growing up in the '50s and '60s, always with the excuse that it was there for opening the old fashion oil cans back in those days, but always kept clean while the church key actually used for the oil cans were tosed in with the rest of the tools. I've gone high tech, mine is on a magnet on my toolbox, never used, just there for nostalgia. I remember as a little kid asking my big brother (while he was working on his two-tone '55 Merc nine passenger station wagon that he used for triple dating to the drive-in movies) why he called the one on his car a "church key" and he said "Because you have to be rightious to get to use it!" Guess they did a lot of worshipping at the drive-in movies...
Rich, You really bring out the best in people or maybe this is the first time I have seen Jehu being interviewed. You ask insightful questions because you know the subject and your source . And you have the peer respect because of your own enterprise. You are the model of a good journalist.

Six years continuous operation out of a Samsung tablet is amazing. It lasted longer than my $2400 5 year warranty Samsung refrigerator. I got 5 years and 2 months out of that.
To clean up that oil stain I use cat litter. I just crush it into the ground real good and sweep it around a little bit. Then I use brake cleaner to lift up what's left out of the concrete and work it into the cat litter as I sweep around the cat litter.

I recently purchased a BMW I3 after I rented one for a trip, after driving that car I fell in love with electric cars and sort of understood about your enthusiasm for Tesla hopefully one day I will get my hands on a Tesla.

i was buying and selling bulk laptops never sold them on with under spec batterys i used to have a bloke who used to buy the stuffed ones and strip for good cells for his powerwall.
That was an awesome video solar for a house is good i use a basic charge DC Box to power my two or one of the 1w led lights at night and even if it dims at 4am its already going to get charged up. im planing to get a better dc battery pack for the solar panel

It makes sense that he converted it to a window van--as those models--even in a primer paint condition, are worth tens of thousands of dollars.
I do the same shit with the recycling of battery cells. Easy money, selling on eBay. Just gotta look around in your local community for the recyclers and make deals with them.

for the radio, you should get a keyboard encoder behind it... and plug it into your tablet (or might be easier to add a network hub, since there are some roms to enable it) to play music when you press the buttons. Different spotify radio for each button? Or rotate through 7 different mp3 lists?
