I took my first drive around the country last summer with the family, a whirlwind tour from Michigan, down through Illinois and Missouri, Oklahoma, Arizona, Texas, California, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming Nebraska, Idaho, and then back to Michigan. All in two weeks, but we saw a LOT. Have a crapload of pics, but a project like yours is beyond me. Good work!

I'm from Britain, it's known for castles but I've been to so many times they're boring now. I was thinking of when I'm older to get a good job and try to move there.
Ah man I love the UK I've been there twice, the only thing I didn't like was the weather, other than that I loved England. Hopefully you can move here soon. You would in enjoy it, plus Americans love meeting people with English accents. :)

Awesome and artful, editing pauses at all the right moments. Actually brought a lump to my throat. Made me remember where I was on 9/11, stranded in San Diego, the last corner of the country. The rental car company let me drive the car I was using back to Indianapolis with no drop fee. I did the drive in three days four hours flat, with my wife negotiating motel stops each evening for me and letting me know by cell phone. Something you never forget. I did a trip like that a few years ago, followed about a third of the path you took, but alas it was only 8000 miles.
Camped in Yellowstone for four days. Saw Carhenge, it was... different. Took me almost a month, glad you could go on such an adventure.

Awesome! I've been on many of those roads! My pics are mostly side of the car views! We took a 6 month trip from Washington, to the Redwoods, CA back up at an angle mostly following Route 66 through NM and then to IL and OH on our way to our new home in the Adirondacks of NY. My favorite museum was the Cowboy Museum in Oklahoma (I think). We visited our family all over the country except no Florida that trip! That was a separate trip a few years later. From NY to FL down the coast and up the inland roads! We then took an RV trip from NY to Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Badlands, stopping in Idaho and Missouri for family visits! Great memories!
Crazy, I lived in Myrtle Beach for a few months for college and I instantly recognized it when I saw the Ferris wheel or sky wheel on the strip

when I watched such videos first time, I thought that United States is something different, later on I came here as a student and only then I found that USA really looks like that.

amazing. watching this really makes me realize I will one day live in the southwest...it's so beautiful out there. I live in Tennessee but took a 2 week trip out there back in highschool. It changed my mind about that area. Totally fell in love with the openness. It's like a different country out there. Even the people seem foreign in a strange way.

Wow. I tried to keep up with the locations based on the images..got lost a few times, identified Chicago half a second before the toll booth, then figured you were heading through Indiana and Ohio. Spotted the former Marine Midland building in Buffalo just before the end...very cool.
