Lots of dart players have had amazing runs in tournaments and over a few years and they start to taper off. It is a game where you have to depend on your health your physical stamina. People give him so much hype what happens when the purple patch wears off and he is not winning

Barney won it when the field was still decent and calling it a "world championship" had some credibility. He also won the PDC and was the 2nd player in the world to Phil Taylor for many years. You wouldn't compare Barney to Bunting with all due respect to Bunting
Those first couple of Lakeside titles were arguably more significant than the PDC titles at the time too
