  • I was in the Boeing Everett Factory waiting for the Boeing 777-9 first take-off. However, due to strong wind and inclement weather, the first flight was to be postponed by 2 days.
The Boeing 777-9, registration N779XW, finally took off on 25th January 2020 at 10:09, under the command of Captain Van Chaney. It flew in the air for 3 hours and 51 minutes before returning to land at Boeing Field at 14:00.
This video shares with you all the things you need to know about the B777x. The orders from the nine customers around the world, the specifics, the cockpit, the cabin design and the test record of the Boeing 777x. The Boeing 777x is powered by the GE9X engine, which recently set a world record of generating 134,000 lbs of thrust.

I've followed this case closely because I worked briefly for a company that provided parts for Boeing planes here in the States. I can't say much due to it confidentiality reasons but the deceased pilots are not to blame. Boeing concealed information from them.

If you buy a new product without a manual wouldn't you assume it works the same way as similar ones you used in the past? The fact that no US pilots did not crash was just the luck of the draw. If they kept flying the max 8 it was bound to happen sooner or later unless Boeing conveniently trained US pilots in flight simulators while telling other foreign buyers no new training was required. With the way you're talking you should have been at the Senate hearing defending Boeing as you seem to know more than the CEO who was fired for gross incompetence.🤦‍♂️🤔

I’ve seen a lot of unfair and unsubstantiated conclusions made of Boeing, after the two accidents that happen with the 737 MAX. Would appreciate if you could do an updated review of the accidents after a full report gets finalized. And find out what happened or didn’t happen in the cockpit. And if they did or did not take corrective action, and if they had time to take corrective action.

Sam, I have to tell you . . . My son (a 15 year old plane spotter who follows you) got to see the 777x take off that Saturday. He was actually happy for the delay as he had finals that Friday and would missed the flight. He saw the media bus returning to The Future of Flight building and ran over, hoping to meet you (of course, you had already left Seattle). However!! Instead he got to meet Glenn Farley, our local news aviation expert who ended up interviewing my son for the news!!! So, although he missed getting to meet you, he still had an amazing experience getting to be on our local news and seeing this amazing plane take off! We later watched it land at Boeing Field. What a cool day! I'm so sorry you had to miss it.
