Swerve has something I don't think any other wrestler really has. He feels genuinely cool, and feels like he would be cool for anyone at any age. That's real special in today's wrestling landscape

Swerve the other night at the end of the match when hangman came out and tried to jump him after he had already fought a fight.. Swerve looked at him and took his hand and run it across his head and said I'm going to shave you bald.. I would love to see him shave His head but I hope he has a Barber with a straight razor do it.

It really makes me happy they put Nana with Swerve. Swerve is a main event guy waiting to happen, and Nana should have had a national spotlight as a manager 15 years ago. Things have really come together and been one of my favorite things in wrestling every week.

I was watching that in the theater and when I saw the extra dancers I immediately got hyped.

I hope everyone realizes that Nana has been doing this for 25 years. When we wrestled he had all the charisma. When he turned to being a manager he was top quality from rip. He added so much to those early roh years. Nana is the man

Swerve is a master at his craft, and yet he's still always learning. He's destined to be champion one day.
Swerve is such a unique and introspective wrestler. Really excited to see what his career potential really is.
Actually a good take on slowing everything down and looking at every single detail that you can. There is actually a special method in psychology that helps you to develop and build your confidence. The key is that if you have an argument with someone, you need to take time and notice every single detail on your opponent: how does he look, what is he wearing and so on. After that you realise that your opponent is only a human just like you and that should bring you confidence.
During a wrestling match, the crowd is basically your opponent because you need to convince them in what you are doing. And that little trick can help you

It’s wild to hear Swerve in so many interviews give credit to where/who he learned these advanced aspects of pro wrestling and it’s the best of the best HBK and now dropping that he picked stuff from Orton. This is what happens when you’re willing to learn and apply yourself. Then you can add your own bits and pass that knowledge on. Guys who don’t want to listen to the ones that came before won’t make it too far. I feel like if AEW doesn’t play their cards right this will be another star that leaves and goes to WWE. Swerve is going to be a big marquee star, wherever he goes.
So much respect for Swerve and Nana. Hope for success for the both of them.

Swerve's face turn was just so organic and natural, it was just really genuine. The entrance music, NaNa, all of it just clicked! Really glad he's the AEW champion. I watch WWE for the storylines and the women's division, but it terms of pure wrestling, AEW is the place to be!
Nana really stands out as an unorthodox manager without overshadowing Sweve Strickland. He's a great compliment to Swerve Strickland.
Swerve and Nana together are chef's kiss. The elevate each other in the best way possible because they both know who they are as characters.
I didn't know much about Swerve prior to him coming to AEW. However, he quickly became one of my favorites. He has charisma for days and everything he does in the ring looks so real, from the actual moves, selling, and ring psychology.
He is a star.

I've watched Swerve for years and I was amazed at all of the little things he would in his own way. Transitions, or moves with a little flair, just everything.

Nana does something few managers other then Heyman can do: he doesn’t still the spotlight from whomever he manages, even though he gets a lot of attention.
At times it feels like nana maybe over doing it and taking the spotlight but then I just thought "he is so confident in his team that he can do that." And it helped enhance them. Because for other wrestlers nana would be beaten up for doing things like that but he knows he has swerve, cage, and gates of agony protecting him so he is able to be annoying and have fun. Because who is going to stop him? Good luck getting to him to stop him from dancing. He planted himself in the middle with cage Infront, gates of agony on each side and swerve behind him as the Mafia boss.
I still think for fans its like "oh we get a cute dance", but then Swerve comes out and especially now the aura is so big, Nana becomes his little dancing buddy, Swerve is the focus always. It works so well (especially at the last PPV when Swerve just showed up behind Nana and I didn't notice him walking in how they shot it. I kinda want Swerve to get the Cody lift
World champion in the next 12 months. I’m calling it NOW!
