    I was born and raised a Packers fan. After this game I will never forget the incredible class and sportsmanship shown by the Raider Nation out of respect for an opponent. Will NEVER forget it.

      @@shaneleroy3529 Yup, y'all known as the worst of worst fans even I knew it back then...and the respect they showed that night was mind boggling. Mad respect to those in attendance that night. Getting slaughtered by a guy who lost his father the day before and cheering him is beyond respectable.

      I watched that game too cheering my ass off for Brett alongside my Mom, Dad and brother. I'm not a huge sports fan now (same with my Dad and Brother), but that night we as a family cheered every throw Brett threw, the catches made, bomb ass runs and touchdowns as a family. I think Irv had more up his sleeve than his son having the best game of his life :) Packer Nation for ever

    Best line from Al Michaels: "You bring this script to a movie studio, and they throw it out." And you know what? He's totally right. If this was a movie, it would be corny and predictable as hell. It's the fact that it actually happened that makes us all appreciate what kind of a warrior Brett has always been.

    Not to take anything away from Favre, but those were some nice catches by his recievers too.

    • @eclectica1
      @eclectica1 Před 6 lety +72

      That was intentional. Donald Driver and Wesley Walls had this to say afterwards:
      “I talked to the receivers before the game and told them ‘Anything he throws, we catch,” said Packers wideout Donald Driver. “I don’t care what it is - behind us, over our head, if we have to get on a ladder or jump on a guy’s shoulder, we’re going to catch the ball.”
      “I just said, 'I love you,” Walls recalled. “He played an amazing game for us, and we all felt we had to do the same for him. Sometimes in special circumstances, you make special plays. I think it's fair to say we were inspired by Irv.”

    • @joeschmo9838
      @joeschmo9838 Před 5 lety +17

      @David Kollmansberger Yes, but that night...anything he threw they HAD to catch. Driver was an amazing WR and will always be, but it was all a tribute to the man who made Favre who he became, his Father. I was younger at the time, but now watching these...brings tears to my eyes and I'm a grown man. Seeing a team rally behind one of their players in their time of need, shows this was a TEAM. Not individuals displaying their talent but guys coming together and playing as a TEAM. This to me, will be the best Packers team we will ever see.

    Brett doesn’t get the respect he should (football wise). Rodgers being even better cast a shadow on Brett. Yes he threw a lot of picks but his TDs were always exciting. He was a gun slinger. One of the greats

    That pisses me off she would ask him for a comment after the game just to advance her career. He should of been able to say his own thoughts. SMH,.

    That was the greatest performance under the worst circumstances. You know what really gets me is the demonic pieces of trash that would dislike this video. It proves that Satan is alive and well! Great job to the legend “Brett Fabre”

    Brett Favre, now there's a proud American that would never disrespect the flag. This new NFL is a National disgrace.

      Super Bowl, I can see him after the game. The child would probably be ok with it since their dad would of just became a super bowl participant.

      If i had to pick i'd say MJ because it was in the finals, but i think it's a little apples-to-oranges. Favre had gutsy sick/injured games too, but this was something different. Favre's personal life was always so public. The opioid rehab, DeAnna's cancer, plus he was just so emotional on the field all the time... football nation was already very much invested in his journey, and the way everyone rallied around him for this one game - even fans of the opposing team, was almost surreal. I just don't think we'll ever see anything quite like that again.
