Oakland Raiders fans were a class act that night. They knew what was happening
    and supported him
They cheered for him during the game.
    Great football fans

Dec 22, 2003. That was 17 years ago but I will never forget that night. I'm a Steelers fan but I'm also a football fan so I try and catch as many games as I can but when my brother who's older and loves football more than i do "and that says a lot" told me about Favre's dad passing and that he was still gonna play I got goosebumps. Real goosebumps! I knew he was gonna play lights out. My brother called me at halftime and just said " wow, you were right! He's making his dad proud!" I almost cried right there and I was a 21 year old man who thought myself a real man's man! To this day when I think about that game and what he did I still have to hold back tears!! Amazing!

watching the highlights of that game, jesus. Favre balled the fuck out and his teammates were making insane catches. it's really something special when you see everyone go beyond to be there for someone you know needs them. you knew it was going to be something different when he got a standing ovation in Oakland.

I remember this game vividly, I remember my grandmother explaining to me the significance of this game for Favre and the fans. Still one of my favorite MNF moments.

I recall Driver saying he told the guys "Catch whatever he throws, infront/behind it don't matter, catch it" and they fuckin did. Favre and the Packers played their hearts out that game for damn sure and glad I was able to watch it :)

Ppl really wanna shit on Brett for the end of his career but this dude is so important to the game and to current quarterbacks. He gave everything he had every time he came out on the field.

What a great game that was. This was a great segment. I don't know how Farve was able to play that night. Divine intervention indeed. Brady also played in 2016 and in SB51 while his mother was ill with cancer. How he did it, I don't know. Thanks for the video.

In the Favre vs Rodgers debate, it's complicated. Rodgers is the better quarterback, but there has never been a white knuckle emotional ride there was with Favre. The man took you white water rafting every fucking sunday, it was unreal.
