I'm a Raider fan and I watched that game in a neighborhood tavern in central Wisconsin. Sporting a Raider jersey, of course. Packer fans were pelting me with popcorn and coasters all night, while Raider fans at the game were showing class and humility.

When we got Brett in MN, it was so sweet! I was at a Sf vs mn game and behind sf with seconds left Brett scrambled at the 50 yard line and was in the jersey grasp of a 49er and Brett let it go around 60 yards to the back of the end zone and we won!!! But that division championship against the saints really showed the man of steel Brett was and i was so mad at the NFL REFS for letting Brett take such a physical beating (bounty) and not call or eject any saint (and they were no saints out there on New Orlenes side) that was so cheap!! ... Brett didn't say this in the interview, but the day after, he lifted up his shirt, and his whole body was bruised up top to bottom, no exaggeration! Needless to say, I respected Brett's heart that much more.❤

It was for me, the most exciting time on the NFL. He may not be the best QB of all time, but he was sure as hell the most exciting player I've ever witnessed. His passion for the game is unrivaled. No. 4 was exciting and fun to watch, equally for the great plays he made and the terrible plays he made that lost playoff games. His team won one Super Bowl, lost another, and never played in another. I would say he hasn't done much to help his personal reputation after stealing money from disabled people to build volleyball courts for his daughter's team. Those TD passes don't make up for that.

I am a life long Raiders fan. I love everything about Brett Favre. Growing up in the 90’s & 2000’s, living in the west coast, I would always watch the Green Bay Packers on Sundays 10am games. I watched the Packers because of Brett Favre and I always rooted for him to win. Then I would watch the Raiders. Brett Favre made NFL Sundays great. Lots of fun. I used to go out in the yard or on the field at school and imitate his throwing motions and I would throw as hard as I could. Because when your a kid in the 90’s the quarterback you wanted to be was Brett Favre. No one else was better than #4.

I was seriously thinking to myself "you've got to be an even bigger moron then we already know to sit there and talk about the same daughter playing the same sport that you were willing to bamboozle the people of Mississippi out of their money for her to have a place to play volleyball"!!bWhat a Loser.. he's sitting there talking about how the people of Mississippi don't make a bunch of money and his mother was a teacher and teachers in Mississippi don't make a bunch of money, but he had no problem ripping the people of Mississippi off of their money. What an ASSHOLE because at the time of this recording some of that had to have been in the works. It's already 2024 now! The weakness of today's youth has been blessed by today's fathers AND Mothers. My Father (God Bless Dad) had compassion, but he was Strick, and the word Can't was a forbidden word around Dad. I do not remember when OR if i used the word can't but just hearing Dad talk about the negative connotation associated with the word was enough for me not to use the word can't ....LOL... Gosh, I miss Dad and he's been gone 20 years or so.....

Joe Buck has to be as perceptive
an interviewer as I've ever seen.
He allows his guests to tell their
story in the way they feel most
    comfortable doing which often
    includes sensitive or difficult-
areas that they want to express
    from their perspective because
they know that Joe has done the
    research and respects the guests
feelings on whether or not they
    wish to discuss certain topics.
Either way, Joe has empathy for
their position and is not patronizing. I think that attention
to details along with the respect
for the authenticity of each person's life story, makes Joe such
    a fine interviewer.

Had the opportunity to get a private tour of the Packers locker room in 1997 during playoff week. Stood right in front of Favre's locker and Reggie Whites and just stared. What a magical moment. I miss those years.

As a Cowboys fan, I always loved playoff time because I KNEW we were gonna have to play one of our NFC East foes, and after we blasted them (inevitably 😂), there was always either Young and the Niners waiting or Favre and the Cheeseheads waiting. And it was ALWAYS a battle and it was ALWAYS FUN, win or lose.
I miss those days. Watching Cowboys football with my family around. I miss you Grandpa Elias, Tio Neto, and my Primo Leon. RIP to you all. I miss you.
Brett Favre has a place in my heart because he’s part of those memories.
    Class act that Cheesehead.

The aura of not just Green Bay but Wisconsin and all Packland changed when he came along with Wolf etc. He made every game feel like a game that could be won. Maybe on 1 hand i could count where it felt he wasnt all there. Every other time which was all the time he gave it all and was fucking GOOD on top of that.

I truly believe Favre was the MVP in the Super Bowl win vs the Patriots. John Madden thought so too. What he did that day was better than many other MVP winners.
Even as a Packer fan, I was rooting for Favre and the Vikings to not only beat GB both times but go to the Super Bowl. The bounty by the Saints and especially the lack of flags was despicable to watch.

This father-son theme reminds me of my mother, dad, and me sitting around the table and she was talking about me and saying to my dad, "He's a good boy isn't he?" She said it a few times before dad finally said, " I'm not going tell him that in front of him." i look back on that occasionally when i'm reminded of it-- and i always say to myself, "Why not?"

I was never a pro player (basketball & downhill skiing) and here I sit with blown out pinky on my left hand, worn out left knee 3 times scoped (one legged jumper) 3 crushed vertebra (skiing) and amazingly no pain issues, but definitely performance fall off. What I would like to know from these iconic players is, what physical issues do they live with in retirement… and to hear the body count of injuries suffered in their career. Most folks don’t even know or understand what brutality they endured in a career… we heard a bit from Brett… but there is a lot more I’m sure would very interesting.
