In the public eye, Gronk comes off as a goofball but he's a lot smarter and responsible than people realize.

    • @mikes3827
      @mikes3827 Před 5 lety +6

Yep. Gronk IS a goofball, but that's just his perpetual "inner boy" that (hopefully) never leaves him, and when he combines that fun-loving nature with someone as BIG as Gronk is, many ppl then assume he's big and stupid. But Gronk is much more savvy that many realize, especially when it comes to his investments and saving money. Then on top of it all he's not only arguably the greatest TE in NFL history, but he's also a VERY likable person to the masses.

The media kind of portrays Gronk as a meathead - mainly b/c he has some fun in the off-season - but this interview made him come across as well grounded. Side note, those were some big boys in his family tussling it out.

Gronk is something else. Look like a guy that blows his money on pornstars and cars but he’s more responsible than any nfl players out there. He talks like how he play and doesn’t come off cocky unlike players who talk but can’t back it up and always hype themselves.

This is refreshing. Here is a guy with money who is is down to earth and does not try to be someone he is not. I know alot of people who think they are bigger than they are. They attempt to look that they are more important than they actually are because they attempt to dress better (all "glamed up") or prop themselves up with a material item like a certain type of car or RV or boat at a lake shore weekend property. Sometimes the people with the money are the most down to earth and modest.

I agree, no TE has dominated on the field like Gronk. His presence alone out there alters games. People say he's injury prone, brittle, blah blah blah. Its the frigging NFL, of course he's going to get hurt. Even missing the number of games he has due to injuries he is a HOF'er and may be the best TE ever.

LOVE GRONK WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT!!
    SAVE UP LOL!!!
The dude makes millions of dollars on endorsements and in football!!!!
Try living in the real world dude.. people who 30000, to $60,000 a year..
You're worried about wasting money on a necklace...
    You're talking like you're poor..
You make between 7 in 10 million dollars a year from the NFL. Your endorsements per year is around 6 million!!!! So let's call your net worth puryear roughly 14 / 15 million... DON'T FORGET ABOUT UNCLE TOM YOUR TAKE-HOME PER YEAR ROUGHLY ( 7 MILLION) THAT'S FREAKING TAKE HOME!! Doesn't include how you invest your money... YOU'RE HAVING MONEY PROBLEMS ROB CAN'T BUY A NECKLACE ROB I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING.....
    Freaking weird....
If you just put $1000000 in the bank.. the average interest is somewhere around $50,000 and that is without ever losing that million dollars.... Put 10 million in the bank.. and you get $500,000 a year...
I'm sure he invests in much much better ways than that..
Is anyone else dumbfounded about what he saying....

He is building a legacy that he can pass down from generation to generation. You don't have to be poor to be frugal. It's not what you take when you leave this wold It's what you leave behind for your loved ones that makes a difference.

@@muzikmon2267 yep and there is a reason they will continue to have money. There is example after example of professional athletes who have made millions in their careers and end up broke not long after their careeers are over, and at the end of their life they have no legacy to leave to their families. Good thing Gronk don't have you as an advisor. These athletes often retire in their early to mid 30's now is the time to put back and be frugal, because they are one severe injury from losing their careers. Considering it is football they are possibly one big injury away from being bed ridden. For example when he landed on his neck that could've ended everything.
