About as punk as being millionaires- i.e. not punk at all.
Their stuff up until and including American Idiot was legit punk, especially Insomniac and 1039
They definitely aren't sellouts though. They just got popular doing their thing, and what they love doing, a sellout is making things you think the people want. Green day doesn't do that, thats what makes them punk imo
