He was trying to get her to come to one of the shows, during their mini tour but she flat out refused cos of it. That would've been one helluva Cinco de Mayo.

I went to elementary school with him back in (I think) 77... he came to my classroom and sang while playing the guitar. He's a couple years younger than me... and WAY more successful.

Billie Joe says: "we'll play anything". Someone in the audience yells "Disappearing Boy" and Billie Joe says: "We're not gonna play that one."

He became independently wealthy at quite a young age. He has also aged fairly well and hasn't lost his wealth.
I'd say that's a pretty damn fine lot in life, and I'm sure he understands that even though it has been many, many years since BJ has gone through the agonizing process of looking for a job.

i used to listen to green day in the 90s, and it had been close to 20 years since i listened to them but a couple weeks ago I listened to their album Dookie, and it brought back memories but also I was kind of blown away at how good the melodies are, and every song is different. it gave me a new respect for how good of a musician Billy joe armstrong is even if its just punk rock
