1.) You can’t talk after you just got swept. Especially, with a team that you wanted.
2.) You would be secure in your skin and comfortable with how you win your rings. You wouldn’t feel the need to respond to every little thing someone says like that. This is a pattern for Durant. He tends to respond when you strike a nerve by saying something he feels, has some truth to it.

This segment was great
KD proved during this series why he joined a super team. He cant withstand a physical, well schooled defense. He gave up when the series was on the line then scored meaningless points in the last game when the series was over and Boston eased up on him. He's an outstanding scorer but you cant back down like that and be considered one of the all-time greats.

If KD would focus primarily on basketball instead of getting into fights on social media, he just might have won a chip with "his" team already. If he didn't let his ego and hurt feelings get in the way, he might have won another 2 or 3 titles with Golden State. KD has undeniable talent, but he's weak mentally. Every single legend in the NBA has taken the criticisms levelled at them (real or imagined) and used it as fuel to get better. KD gets up in his feelings when someone calls him out, and most of the time, he DESERVES to be called out.

I disagree. Charles’ original point was that, speaking from his experience in Phoenix, it’s different when you are the bus driver. Durant just wants to hoop. He has admitted that. Everyone knows that. That is a bus rider. There’s an added responsibility that comes with being the bus driver that Durant doesn’t want. When he was in Golden State, Steph had it. It takes a toll on you. It’s much harder. Which is why players get more credit for titles when they are in that leadership role. Durant doesn’t want the response that comes with being a leader. But he clearly wanted his own team. Chuck had that role and knows what it’s like. He’ll be the first to own not winning one with Phoenix.

It takes the entire team to win to be called champion, and that includes the guys who don't even play. So the mere idea of calling someone a champion, just because their name is on the rooster, but who did not play in the games, makes them champions according to your strict definition. Championships aren't won in the regular season. Golden state won one championship without KD and that was against an injury stacked Cavs team. The following year Cavs were healthy, they defeated that 73-9 which made them ran out and got KD. They won 2 championships after acquiring KD and he was the best player on that team. Golden State haven't won anything since KD's departure.
